i have rooted the phone revemoved system apps such as bluetooth and stuff that would never be used and managed to claim back about 25% of the phones memory from the rom
but i am now looking for other roms people may think or know works
i have full access to the factory mode / custom recovery / engineer mode by mtk
the phone runs amazing fast and smooth but still lacks in memory so some apps do crash wen its full i am looking for a more light weight rom or a guide on how to back up the official one and then edit it
i am very tech savvy so its no problem to learn i all ready know howto create appications i know java hardware and vereous other skills

Hello, this is my first post and I don't know much about phones, but a Chinese contact of mine has given me the ROM for the A9 MT6589 phone, Land Rover knock off. Quad core I believe.
I just wondered if anyone has any use use for the files? The files are 329MB zipped so would have to be uploaded somewhere.
I don't own this phone, I own the Octa Core version, I couldn't get the ROM for that, not available.
So if anyone wants it please let me know where to upload.

I was just debating buying that phone. I just bricked a zug 3, (which no one is interested in working on and I'm too dumb to fix it myself), so I would be grateful for a copy of the stock a9 ROM . please let me know what I need to do for the download.

I managed to format and put new rom . but , wont turn it on still... maybe because before I tryed with wrong version of mobile rom , and this scatter wont let me format bootloader also . is there some trick how to format bootloader so I can put this new wersion ?
I can only enter now in Up volume + power to get anything on screen ..
or shuld I now somehow flash it with memory card ? so it will work ?
or maybe Manual format ? what to put in manual format ?

Now noticed , with flash tool and that scatter , load only system 40-50mb ... something is wrong maybe with scatter that he not put whole system of 300-500mb ?

Hi Guys,
After my little stay on XDA and trying messing with many devices of android and bricking few lead to me know about android development.
Anyways, So my point is I am trying to port this MIUI KiKat ROM (MIUI V5 for Elephone P9) which is exactly identical to my device except the NFC and the the CPU frequency thing ( which I don't think matters that much while porting) and my device is XOLO 8x-1000 HIVE
So what I learnt is that devices should have-
Same SoC's, Same display size, Same architecture, Same processors. My device and ELephone has everything same even the internal storage and the RAM i.e. 2GB and mount points are also identical but without NFC so can't call it a clone exactly.
I tried many MIUI guides followed this one so far THE BEST - MIUI PORTING FOR DUMMIES all in vain :/ after flashing my recover.log is totally fine.! After rebooting I see my spalsh screen after that my phone gets stuck at a unresponsive black screen not even showing the boot animation. Funny this is that phone is actually detected by adb and on connecting with PC the storage are also shown but it gives error that please insert storage. I attached the pic at the end of the post so you can have a look at it also when I logcat an endless chain of God knows what continues I can't even get it to read . Can anyone help me porting this MIUI to my device! I really want to want to port MIUI any MediaTek expert in the XDA house willing to help me
Please don't ignore this thread as no solution is yet available. IDK how this guy ported MIUI to his device with same specs as mine. I even contacted him and he said he just follow that guide I linked above ultimate guide of MIUI porting. Anyone please help me as I can see that devices related to mine are actually running MIUI but I can't sadly :'(

Hi... Can you please help me... a Few minutes ago i bricked my friend phone because i dont know that his phone was a clone...i tried to flash his recovery through mobileuncle and it say success but after i reboot the phone just not wouldnt start... (a black screen with baclight On only)...

But its an oppo find 7 clone... i mnaged to turn it on somehow and from oppo bootscreen it changed to Gowin bootscreen... after some googling i managed to find out that its the same look and design as the Gowin M7
If it's MTK-based, it's not a clone, it's a completely different device.
A true "clone" would be identical internally and be able to run Oppo software without modification.
No one here can help you since you're messing with some noname MTK device.

Hello, Guys i really need one help from you, i've formatted s4 clone mediatek phone through sp flash tool 3.xxx :crying::crying: also i've selected scatter file of my phone i guess it was mtk6589 or something i can't remember when i hit the download button it wont let it flash it prompted as brom error s_ft_enable_dram_fail (4032) also i have tried like 10+ stock roms of s4 clone even i wasn't able to flash any i dont know im really sad about this please anyone can help me?:crying::crying::crying: im looking for this since 2 weeks before can't find any solution..

you need to know wich MTK cpu is running on your clone then google needrom and search for s4 clone and look for your mtk and try it you have no choice
just do that and you will revive your device
if you have link where you bought it online it will help
