Just ordered my Thunderbolt last night on Amazon to take advantage of the $179 price. According to the site its on backorder right now. Anyone else order from Amazon and still waiting? Also, who here has ordered a phone from Amazon and its on backorder? Did you have to wait the full 8-9 days as it says? Man, i can not wait to get my hands on this device!! Today I got notification it shipped, and is expected to be delivered tomorrow (despite 2 day shipping, since it's coming from NJ -> NY, it will arrive in 1 day).

must be frustrating. they are offering free 3pm overnight shipping right now too. maybe you could call and have it resent via that for delivery tomorrow?
Amazon overshoots their delivery times, never had to wait as long as they estimated for anything I've ordered there, including phones.

Glad you talked em into it. I tried this on Sunday afternoon. VZW and Best Buy both refused to match it. I said "No Problem" and ordered online. Hopefully they will give me an update soon.
I purchased my TB on 3/18 and amazon sd it was backordered. got "Shipped" confirmation saturday 3/19 at noon and was in my hands monday 3/21 around 3pm. Came from Louisville, Ky and shipped to TN. I had to wait 24 hours for Sprint to release my number. All I can say is Amazon Wireless rocks!!

On bright note for everyone whos ordered. The Thunderbolts are back in stock and as of late last night my order was packed and ready to be shipped. According to Amazon, i should have it tomorrow.
So I was neurotically checking my pre-order with OfficeDepot when I noticed that when I added a Prime to my cart, it was no longer marked as "Backordered."
I decided to complete my checkout and found that they charged me (something they didn't do for the pre-order), and I have a firm delievery date of 1/11.
My original order with them was still marked as "Backordered," but the new order went through.
Hopefully this is not a site error on their part. Good luck!

Went thru pretty much the same thing back on 12/30. After I checked out I went back to the product page and the item was back on backorder already.
Mine shipped on 1/3 and UPS says 1/9 delivery.
So, its prob not an error.

Sorry, i ordered Dec 30th. It was on back order until 3 days ago then it changed to "in factory" but today it has now finally changed to "shipped" with confirmation email with tracking number, tracking says its already in my state and is expected to be delivered tomorrow 8am-5pm.
If this one is has the same issues as my other one I will be returning it and just wait it out till 11 inch Samsung or prime mini comes.

Screen brightness often times fluctuates under power saving mode, brightness lowest lvl.
Random shutdowns and takes several tries to get it to turn on.
Web browsing: Web pages sometimes flickers.
And with that sleeve that connects to the Prime it scratched the aluminum a little bit. Wasted 40 bucks.

I got my new prime, all i got to say is...
So far it seems perfect in everyway, have not tried GPS but every other problem i was having with my GS prime is no more on this OD prime.

I heard from 1 person in Seattle, claiming he received his late last night. I recall from the 900 ship, my device was half way here before I received a shipping notification.
I've never had any shipping issues with AT&T. For me, when they say it will be there....its always been.
Mine says the 9th....I'm pretty much satisfied that it will be.

That has been my experience in the past when I have ordered phones direct from ATT, but in the past 3 years or so, I have bought mine from Amazon, Dell, or in the stores. Glad to hear this hasn't changed!

Same boat as you....i hate dealing with the online and or phone folks....the only reason i didn't just go pick one up from store is because i talked them into giving me an early upgrade on the phone through the 1800 number

my order got cancelled this morning for no apparent reason, so i went to the at&t store by my work place. there's a line, but most people are there for the note 2, and only a hand full are for lumia 920. grabbed my new lumia 920 in less than 10 minutes, although they do not have wireless charging pad in stock
I guess I have no choice but to wait if I want Cyan since it is online only....still no shipping confirmation.

finally got shipping confirmation for Tuesday delivery.
Ordered the red at 4PM EST on the 7th, and I'm still showing as processing. Called AT&T and they told me it's "at least" a 7 day backorder. Wonderful...

Phone arrived today, almost at the end of the window that FedEx estimated it'd be delivered.

First thing Wednesday I went to the local AT&T store and ordered the black 920 to be shipped to my home, The salesperson was familiar with but unsure if I was getting the charging base offer. Thursday I received a USPS shipping confirmation for the phone item 6027A as well as one for a "Various SIM" item 72290. Friday morning the phone was in the store and the shipping confirmation showed Memphis USPS departure that day, Friday.
I assume that I am not getting the charging pad as others have said it shipped separately and it is not on the shipment notification. Item 72290 is an actual micro SIM SKU.
My previous 900 came via FedEx on a Saturday before the phone was in store Monday.

The headphones now also appear on the order, and are listed as "Monster N-Pulse NC MH NPU OE BK CU WW Over-Ear DJ Headphones - Black," at a value of $199.99 (with a -$199.99 adjustment before the total).
So if you pre-ordered from Newegg, start looking for it!
I ordered my the same day and mine is also now listed as "Packaging" and they billed my card. Looking forward to it getting in my hands soon.

Your guess is as good as mine on if they are going to ship within 48 hours since it's the first time I preordered something from Newegg.

I got the same notification bit about, 8hrs later I was notified I'd been charged so I guess they are shipping much earlier than 9/9/16!!

I think the delay for the Grey paid off and they were able to deliver a much larger stock than originally anticipated or on the pessimistic side a lot of people cancelled their preorders which seems a little implausible.
I ordered from B&H on 7/18 and just looked and status has changed to "In stock, order sent to warehouse" very exciting news! Had said up until now new order processing but changed at some point tonight! Can't wait to get it rooted and daily use!

Same here I placed mine on 7/19 from B&H - no update so far.
My $75 gift card and Bluetooth headset have a tracking number as of this morning but the phone still says in stock order sent to warehouse so hoping it ships today. (As previously mentioned I ordered from B&H on 7/18/16)

I just saw this when checking on B&H. Amazon also has this date. Originally it had a release date of 8/19. Hopefully it doesn't slip even more.

I got my earbuds too last week. i ordered from b&h and chose 1 day shipping so my fingers are crossed for Wednesday. i have pre ordered things from amazon also in the past and a couple of times they arrived on the release day. i have prime. if you do too and they already have the phones, you might get surprised by an early shipping notification.

I almost ordered from there but being a Prime member, I decided to stick with Amazon. But then Amazon canceled my order three times cause the system thought it was suspicious activity and someone gained unauterized access to my account and made this purchase and canceled my order and locked me out of my account. Tooke me about 45 minutes on the phone, the 3rd time, to get them to figure it out. I guess the first time should have been the first clue to go else where. Sucks is it would be like 2 or 3 days before it would cancel my order so in all, this went on for like 8 days before it actually went through and stuck. lol
