I flashed gingerbread 2.3.6 onto my Samsung Galaxy S2 model SCH-R760 but it was a US Cellular build and my carrier is Alltel. Is there anyway I can change the settings to get my phone to reconnect to my Alltel data plan?
Many Thanks

I'm in the same boat. Flashed and I've changed ALL the WAP settings in DFS and PRL update with no luck. When you find something let me know.
Hey guys. I couldn't get AT&T to unlock my s3 so I downgraded to android 4.1.1 to do the free unlocking method. It worked, but my phone has AT&T apps in it, and when updating it says crap like updating from AT&T server or w/e.
When using ODIN, was I supposed to install the AT&T or the T-Mobile version of the 4.1.1 android?
I figured since it's an at&t phone I have to reinstall the at&t so it doesnt mess up the drivers or anything (I totally made up that conclusion myself).
Also, I don't get 4g LTE now and only get E internet. Do I have to do some settings so the phone cooperates with T-Mobile?
As always, thank you very much for the helping hands.

You're probably going to need to setup the apns for Tmobiles network to work for your phone fully.
It automatically made one called tmobile but I dont know if I have to edit it.
Was I supposed to install android 4.1.1 for at&t or tmobile?

As far as i know you should be fine on the at&t rom, You're just going to need to edit those apns probably.

Well, how about this? I install the T-Mobile rom. Shouldn't that have the proper apns?
Now another question comes to mind. Since this is originally an at&t phone, will installing the T-Mobile rom mess it up?
Anyone? Help plz
I have a HTC One M7 with Carolina West Wireless. I unlocked the bootloader, installed twrp, rooted and flashed liquid smooth rom. I'm loving the rom and almost everything is working great except for mms. I've tried to add some APN settings I found but my mms still won't send or receive. I called CWW tech support, but they refused to give me the APN settings and suggested I bring it in to get looked at.
I still have the previous rom backed up, but I haven't been able to find the APN settings in the menus. Anyone have ideas how to find the APN?

contact TMobile Technical support for the MMS portion, the sim should be encoded already for it but if not the mms number might need to be changed on the phone

Hey guys,
I have a SM-G900P and went through a lot of steps to get it properly working, at the best you will be able to get HSPA+ and if you do get LTE it will randomly go back to HSPA+ until you toggle airplane mode again. I now use a SM-G900T because of this very issue.
How I unlocked it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/help/sm-g900p-straight-talk-att-t3331284
IDoneApps App
Had to enable the "GCF Setting" on the phone.
Me attempting to force enable GSM LTE bands on this phone: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-sm-g900p-lte-band-t3333760
I had a similar issue when I took my verizon s5 over to tmobile. There was an exploit to get the unlocked Dev bootloader, once I did that I was able to flash a tmobile stock rom and wifi calling and LTE started working normally. Here is a link to what I did to get it working on my phone. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71697776&postcount=280
Hello,
I have a verizon galaxy S4 and I am currently running Jelly Beans Android 4.2.2.
The baseband is VRUAMDK
The build number is VRUAME7
I have not used this phone since 2015 so I forgot what I did back then and I also forgot if I unlocked the bootloader or not lol
I am confused because I have CWM recovery installed.
What I would like to know is the following:
1. How can I check to see if the bootloader is indeed unlocked?
2. Since it is a Verizon phone, when I put in an AT&T SIM card I get network access and I get H+ data. Is there a way to get 4G LTE since the phone is 4G LTE capable?
3. I used to have an HTC One M9 and I remember I flashed a Dev ROM on it and I was able to flash any variant rom like AT&T, T-mobile, Global or International...etc Is this also possible on the S4 assuming the bootloader is unlocked?
4. Given the above info, is it safe to flash any other custom roms without loosing the unlocked bootloader? ( from my research, I understand that the bootloader of MDK baseband can be unloacked).
Thanks in advance...

1. Your bootloader is NOT unlocked, however since you have CWM recovery installed, it seems your phone has taken advantage of the loki doki exploit which the MDK firmware allows. No other firmware will allow a custom recovery so NEVER update your phone off the MDK bootloader.
2. To use the phone on AT&T, all you need is the APN settings to get 4G LTE.
3. Again the bootloader is NOT unlocked, it's just by passing the lock with the loki doki exploit. And no you can only use ROMs made for your phone whether it be TW based ROMs of AOSP like Cyanogen Mod.
4. Yes, you can flash any ROM made for your phone and loki doki will not be lost. No the MDK bootloader cannot be unlocked, but it can be by passed with loki doki.
I have the same set up on my phone here (Android 4.2.2 but running a lollipop ROM with CWM recovery) only mine is the AT&T variant on the MDL bootloader which is the AT&T version of the MDK bootloader on your phone. It can be exploited with loki doki too.

Thank you Stoney for the detailed response. This was very helpful and refreshing.
Can you please give me a name or two of the ROMS that can be flashed on MDK without issues. I am using Lineage OS on my OnePlus without google play or google services and this is what I am trying to do on the S4 as well. I want to keep the MDK version and install a rom without any google services or Verizon bloatware.
Thanks again in advance

No problem glad to help. I'm pretty sure you can flash any AOSP or TW based ROM that you want as long as it's for your phone. There's a lineage OS ROM for my phone, so there might be one for yours just look in the original android development section found here on the forum.
I do have a Verizon s4 as well, but it's been updated passed MDK thanks to the guy that owned it before me so my bootloader is locked. However, I can boot custom TW ROMs, just no AOSP based ones. I'm running stang5litre Note 5 ROM on it. As for my at&t phone here that can use loki doki, I also run a custom TW ROM on it.

Do you know if there is a trick to plugging in Verizon APN setting when I have my at&t sim card inserted ?
My network settings are as follows:
Mobile data is enabled
Global data roaming is disabled
Network Mode is set to GSM/UMTS
The default Verizon APN setting is greyed out and I can not select it or edit it. If I manually add another APN setting that has verizon settings and I save it it does not show up in the list of APN settings. It just disappears the moment I save it.
any thoughts?
Thanks

If you're using the Verizon phone with an AT&T SIM card, then for 4G LTE data to work you need AT&T APN settings which are:
Name: ATT HSPA+
APN: phone
Proxy: <Leave in Blank>
Port: <Leave in Blank>
Username: <Leave in Blank>
Password: <Leave in Blank>
Server: <Leave in Blank>
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: <Leave in Blank>
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri
APN Protocol: Leave it to the Default one
Bearer: Leave it to the Default one
And sticking to kit kat is probably a good idea. There's a google play edition ROM that's suppose to be good. I'm running lollipop on my AT&T loki doki S4 here and it's alright, though it has some bugs since it's a custom touch wiz ROM. I haven't tried running any AOSP Android 7, 8, or 9 ROMs.
