Hello! Is there a mode to increase maximum brightness more then factory max (apk. or something for rooted phones). Once I had "neo turbo" installed: great luminosity (hurt the eyes on max)- great speedy rom (i had to change it because the pictures i took were fake coloured) so i changed it with Atomic 3.0 rom- great rom also, great camera quality, ram, space, etc; but i've returned to that standard low brightness. On "neo turbo" rom I didn't even have to max it (used only half the light to be happy). It didnt damaged my phone and the light, contrast seemed almost like an amoled. Thank you in advance!

Click to collapse
use whitemagic technology file.....but beware about your display lights getting worn out
thank you!!! installed the free app, more brightness than I ever wanted, have a great day!

Hi guys i would like to know how high you get it on your phones?
I have the lg o2x and have max al and draw distance at 80% then its smooth.
Just want to know how for you can get the draw distance.
ow and om my hp touchpad 1.2hgz dual core adreno 220 i get some where like 50-60% draw distance but its a 9.7" screen so more pixels! But yeah.
Thx
Just put what settings you have. Thx
So me
Lg optimus 2x cm7 kang rc 100
Resolution: 100%
Details: max
And every thing on! (forgot what is more to put on XD)
Draw distance: 80%
On 100% lags a little.
Hp touchpad cm9 nightly
Resolution: 100%
Details: max
Same every thing on
And draw distance around: 60-67% smooth, more then 70% and it's slow
but its a tablet so more pixels.
But yeah i would like to know,
Ow yeah
Htc one X, same settings as the LG
More pixels so more work! and i think it's not optimized because i'm sure tegra3 can play full.
But looks beautiful on a hd 720p screen.

Here is the video i tried to take regarding the screen lag.
Its all real time , there is no , afaik any camera lag ( taken with sg3) , its pretty much how it looks . Also i have shown the FPS . You can see when i scroll slowly , the FPS drops to 20 or so making it jerky. if i do it fast , it reaches 50+ but not stable and not very responsive to my touch feedback either.
I have tried Bexus Kernel with OC GPU , still the same . Is there anyway to force the tablet to display at bare minimum of 30FPS ? I planned to read lot of PDF, but this jerkiness is giving me headache.
Can anyone help me ?
what rom are you running? no screen lag for me on a really old cm10 build. pretty much consistent framerate, though it is kinda slow
i think part of the problem here was B&N's choice of using a PowerVR SGX 540 GPU in this tablet. this particular GPU was also used in the entire original Samsung Galaxy S line, and is at this point 5-7 years old. not a particularly great GPU in my book. granted, we're not pushing a really high screen resolution (1024x600) but still, it's a really old GPU.
CM 11 Snapshot M5 i think. Using along with Bexus kernel.
I can lower the resolution if needed , all i want is a stable framerate display , ready to sacrifice some battery too.
I agree the tablet is kind of old , but i just want to use this as some secondary reading tablet. i have no use for it now.
Try turning off "Magnification Gestures". This has caused input lag for me before.
Go to Settings>Accessibility
its off only`

Would you say that the Sony Xperia X Compact is "fast" in day-to-day use? A higher rating indicates that you think the Sony Xperia X Compact exhibits fantastic performance. Like, is it as fast as your tears when you watch The Titanic?
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
X Compact has really surprised me with its responsiveness. I was expecting a slower phone due to its slower processor but I have been blown away with its responsiveness which surpassed my higher end phone. It must be a combination of its less demanding screen processing with a smaller screen and its updated android version on 7.1.1
I am blown away too. A 7.1.1 update made this a true beast. Coming from Moto Z all I can say I am impressed.
I'd say that overall speed is okay. I'm not blown away by the 30MB/s hardware R/W limitation of the SD card controller. I and a few others with this device have cards that reach well in excess of those speeds (see photo - yes, it's on Windows but tested 3x with different .iso images; on separate media, and never read/written to either device before), and having external storage is certainly a must have in this day and age. I won't really blame the controller speed, it's just an ongoing problem with Android -- where to fix its speed and efficiency (perpetual bloat), you just throw faster hardware at it without really fixing anything (optimization).
What really gets me is that Battery Care turns "on" when I tell it to, but it causes more performance issues than it saves battery. It appears to use the same amount of battery whether it's enabled or disabled whether low/moderate/high - so it's detrimental to performance with no real gain in battery (a day's charge is a day's charge). Sony did a pretty good job of optimizing the stock ROM for performance/battery without the middle management (using International/Chinese).
I have just flashed Pixel Experience ROM to my Poco. I notice one thing immediately: brightness seems to be scaled lower. When I was in MIUI, 20% brightness seems to be enough for indoor use. Eversince I use the custom ROM, for indoor use, it takes 50% to 60% of the brightness. I wonder if it'll impact the maximum brightness by half.
please try changing kernel!

Hi, just recently upgraded my S21U to S23U, one setting that was on S21U seems missing from S23U it was called processing speed and could be set to optimised, high or max.
Is this an option that's just not in this new phone, or not needed etc?
Regards
James
In battery you can choose light mode instead. So on stock you have performance and with the light mode (not theme) you can downclock the SoC a bit to save some battery.
You have a setting in the battery section that lower the speed of the processor if you want to save some battery, that's the only thing I've seen so far that meets your request.
