Google Maps - "Please enable my location source" ... I've done that! =( - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hello you lovely people!
After flashing a new custom ROM (and kernel) on my xperia U when I load up google maps, I now have a message along the bottom that reads "Please enable the my location source in the system settings" I have enabled this (all boxes are checked on location services menu) I am able to get a gps fix. This is only a problem with finding my location via data/wifi. ROM is eXperience v2. I have flashed the ROM again and reinstalled google maps, but this did not help. Any advice is much appreciated!

Did you optimise the GPS acoordibg to your location in the aroma installer? I had the same problem on my sola... Install the Rom again and don't optimise the GPS. Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for your reply my friend I did optimise it the first time I installed the ROM. The second time, I selected to leave it untouched. I'm afraid this hasn't worked for me
Edit: Having said that you may be on to something here! did you flash the stock ROM before installing the ROM again? Come to think of it, I don't think I did this :S

By installing again I meant flashing the stock ftf again and then installing the rom... Experience Rom zip is not the full Rom. It just modifies the stock stuff, so you need to flash stock ftf first.
Yes, you need to go back to stock!

Do you thing using a root backup app such as Titanium Backup to restore my apps/system data would effect the agps files? This is probably a noob question

Does this ROM have NetworkLocation.apk in /system/app ?
JB.400 xGO Rooted, Unlocked, Debloated, Greenified, Boot and Stuff by Munjeni

Hahaha.. Lol,. Guys dnt dig your brain too much. Just enable LOCATION --> ACCESS LOCATION in GOOGLE SETTINGS, which you see It as app separately .

Enabling location settings didn't start the service I did try that
Not sure about the location file. Sorry. on the Dev forum no one mentioned a bug there.
Flashed ftf file didn't appear to work
Flashed a new rom based on stock (terra rom). maps now works a treat!
I think the problem stems from the aurora instalation and me attempting to optimise for my area (uk)

I don't know if this is important, lately I activated the privacy guard on almost all the apps, not maps and Google plus though, could this maybe the reason of a conflict?
