Hi,
I have tried a lot of tools available in this forum, but have not been able to extract the files in the dump.bin (ROM dumped from a Lenovo ET960 (WM2003SE)).
_ttp://rapidshare.com/files/431085618/ROM35778-S612_060306.7z
eg: dumprom.exe -d FOLDER_TO_EXTRACT_FILES dump.bin
generates an error "Missing initial signature (B000FF). Not a BIN file"
I need the .mui files from this ROM. Please direct me.
Cheers.
I can learn most things on my own but not everything, so guys, I need your help! Please put me in the right track. Please help me extract the files from this ROM.

[Q] A few questions related to porting...

ok so im trying to port for the first time to a i5800.
Now i have Ubuntu and the disxda's kitchen in it.
I've got the boot.img , system.img, data.img, zImage and factoryfs.rfs of my phone with me.
Now my questions are:
1. would a Froyo init.rc work for the ICS?
2. When i try to mount the factoryfs.rfs of my phone, the aplications i tried to use always gave an error stating its not a valid CD image or somethingsimimlar(ive used UltraISO and MagicISO)
3. When i try to extract boot.img using disxda's kitchen, it says Android header not found in boot.img or anywhere in the boot.img and the kernel pagesize is 0.
4. i dont want an Update.zip instead i want it like a flashable rom(are they the same?)
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

[Q] How to view/extract files from nand backup .img files?

Hello.
Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but I can't seem to find a way to view and extract content of .img nand backup files on android phone itself and/or PC with Windows OS. (currently only looking for system.img file)
I've read there is a "unyaffs" program, but its for linux.
I have Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and it's CWM saves system into .tar archive, which makes it very handy cause, because WinRAR reads these files just fine.
Thank you.
unyaffs can be used in windows too.. just try looking a little harder..
Download the attachment.. I've repacked it with the cygwin dll
Hope it helps..
