I cannot get my phone powered on without connecting to a charger. It keeps rebooting when the battery is inserted.but it gets out of the loop once the charger is plugged ...once it is on,i can disconnect it from charger and it shows no problem..
Once you get it booted up, delete your batterystats.bin
Go here /data/system and delete the batterystats.bin file or you can do it in CWR if you can get there. Plug in and charge to 100% then unplug (and reboot if you want) and your shoudl get out of the loop.
I am thinking that your battstats are corrupted and your phone "thinks" it has less charge than it does. Ghost in the machine type thing.

Try a different battery?
Go to a T-Mobile store or sumfin and ask if you can try a new battery, if it turns on and boots normal, it's your battery.

well *_*, it didnt get me any where, i used some Ethyl alcohol
So, sort of long story, i'll cut it short
-Got an old X10, had stock 2.3.3
-Rooted it
-Did not unlock bootloader, got kinda scared.
-Tried to install FeraLab custom ROM, it failed probably because of sdcard permissions; i accidentally wipe /system /data /cache
-stuck at first Sony Ericsson screen
-Somehow managed to flash a 2.1 stock rom with flashtool, after an hour of different combinations of enterring flash mode and pulling the battery
-Tried to install FeraLab again, this time it went through
-After install, rebooted, phone shut down during boot up process
-Will not turn on at all. Even when plugged into a PC, wall, not plugged in, pulling battery, etc.
I think what happened is that FeraLab needed a newer baseband than the 2.1 stock rom had. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this sucker to even turn on? Not a single LED is on when plugged in, giving me the impression that it's not charging.
If the battery has drained out, it might take some time before it kicks in and indicates that it is charging.
If the ROM has failed somehow, it might not show that it is charging at all, but might be charging.
Either way: Let it charge "blindly" for a while, and see what happens.
Once it does boot up to some level or shows life-signs, let it charge fully before you'l attempt a ROM flash.
The flash/recovery mode needs a full battery, and reason is that the external power isn't used even when connected while in flash/recovery mode.
If you happen to be in bad luck, and the ROM failed as a result of a drained battery, you might have to charge the battery externally. Use an external battery charger made for 3.6 volts Lithium Polymer batteries, and make sure to align the + and - terminals properly.
I can recommend the multicharger from Powerbase, called C-734U:
http://www.powerbasehk.com/product.php?id=148
Using it myself to charge the X10 battery, as well as other batteries from other devices I have.
EDIT:
(For some reason, powerbase has taken back that it'll charge Lipo batteries, but when I bought mine, it was described as a li-ion, li-poly and Ni-MH charger, and it't ability to charge li-poly batteries was the very one reason to why I bought it.
I suspect PowerBase does not want to take responsibility if anything happens to the li-poly-batteries, as they are known to be more dangerous than other types.)
I've left it on the wall charger all night, no response or anything. Luckily, I bought a new battery a few days ago, so when that comes in, hopefully it will be charged enough for this thing to boot.

Yeah, i'm not sure what he expected. But, good news! Now for some reason my phone started blinking red whenever I tried to turn it on! I guess the battery completely ran out or something. It also blinks every now and then when plugged in, so I guess it's charging. The previous owner of this phone said that it had some battery problems, so that's why I ordered that new battery. I'll let it charge for awhile and let you guys know what happens.
Okay, after getting my new battery, the phone will still not turn on. I think i've figured out two behaviors:
1. If the battery is nearly completely out of charge, it will flash a red light
2. If the battery has charge, it will not do anything at all.
Anyone know how to fix this?
While trying to turn on the phone, after long-press power button, do you get a flash from status led & short vibration?

No vibration, the red LED flashes three times, and that is , as I said before, what happens when the battery seems to not have any charge. If I have a charged battery it does absolutely nothing.
Have you removed sim & sd card and tried. I know it sounds dumb but when I flashed a bad kernel I had to try to connect flash mode like 10 times. Finally I left the phone unplugged from pc, started flashtool and started flashing. I only put battery in phone just before holding back key. I never connected USB until tool said to dis-connect phone and connect in flashmode.
i wish you luck, I know how I felt when it went wrong

Rom : Spikelabs GB Gaming rom
Kernel : Ferakernel v23 beta6
I tried another battery, charger, data cable.. Tried flashing stock & spikelabs kernel., but of no use..
Any help is greatly appreciated..
Thanks in advance.. :good:
Something like that happened to me not long ago!
I was trying to flash some ROMs and I messed up then my phone wouldn't turn on!
But Miracously, I could flash a Stock 2.3.3 which fixed the problem!
At first, I used Sony PC Companion, which helped a lot- and after I screwed it for the second time, I used FlashTool-
I don't know if this was helpful, but I hope your x10 will be fixed soon!
yeah try the PC Companion first, it helped me too a couple of weeks ago
No luck...
Hi friends..
Tried to repair using PC companion, but was able to connect only in flash mode, unable to proceed software update..
I previously tried flashing stock GB using flashtool thrice. Still couldn't switch on the phone.. What else may i try..
Thanks friends..

If it presist after you do the instructions on previous post,it's fuel gauge problem,it's kinda hard to fix by not installing custom kernel.
Try The Allicance RC5 kernel for ICS,i think this will solve your problem.
It is very likely you are having "fuel gauge" problem.

UPDATE: Nothing worked, finally went to service center and they changed motherboard , it took 8 days but my ray is back #THANKUWARRANTY
This thread is not a question thread, i am posting here to warn all xperia ray users.
My Story:
Yesterday i installed ICS Pureness rom but i didnt used sirkay kernel with that instead i used .431 stock kernel (I think here is the problem).
After that i used it 20-30 mins and went back to stock .62 GB using flashtool.
I got news that stable CM9 is available, so i installed latest stable Cyanogenmod9 (cm-9.0.0-urushi.zip downloaded from official CM site), used it 5-10 mins
I dont like it either so i returned to GB .62 using cwm backup made before installing CM. Everything worked fine but my phone was not charging , just showing that its charging.
That time battery percentage was 12% it was constantly decreasing although phone was showing its charging. After few mins it turned off and i tried to turn on but phone didnt started , red led blinked 3 times and went off.
I tried another battery and phone works fine but battery still not charging. (it is showing charging but battery percentages are decreasing)
I Also charged my old battery with other phone and tried still no luck phone is unable to charge battery.
I flashed .62 firmware again , still no luck
Left my phone in charging around 5+ hours, still not charging.
Since my phone is unable to charge battery , i am charging it using a direct battery charger, by 15 mins of charging it gives me 10-12% battery. (this is only way to boot my phone and test repairing methods)
UPDATE: Tried method by emosis , Flashed stock .431 using flashtool then flashed sirkay's XRay V7.3.431 kernel but still no luck
These guys are facing same problem too.
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1808552
2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831935
Note: I think its software problem but i dont know how to fix it. Basically i am stuck.
So ray users you have been warned , dont try stable CM9.0 over .62 GB firmware otherwise you will lose your phone.
Dont forget to share to aware users, its a very big problem and If you have any suggestion please reply (#seriously so we can make this thread helpful)
If there is really no way To fix it, then maybe get one of these?http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=320777472336 I got one and love it. Comes in handy.

Bravo for the beautiful language. Punks like u dont deserve any help whatsoever.
Bro
Try to do what i say..
Use a charged battery..
Put out battery 1 minute.. Then turn on phone and get fastboot screen and flash sirkay latest kernel 2 times..when flash finished turn off phone and again put out battery 1 minutes turn on phone and get recovery screen - fastboot screen - flash sirkay kernel again.. then turn off phone disconnect phone from computer and connect it to charger after see charging screen turn on ur phone normally and say us the result
Are you talking about this kernel ?? = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29739291&postcount=1962
For your information= My phone is currently on GB .62 stock (i charged my phone battery separately without phone >> reinserted battery >> flash .62 stock using flashtool)
EDIT: Tried sirkay kernel not working.
When things go totally out of hand, I usually reinstall the stock ROM with Sony Ericsson Update Service with "software update+factory reset: option. In 99.5% cases it works.
(Well it might not be helpful if it SEUS does not recognize phones with unlocked bootloader.)
Its ok do it with sirkay latest kernel and install pureness you used before bro.. factory reset wipe data and dalvik cache..

Thanks a lot for your reply, i am downloading pureness again , actually deleted it.
If you can also explain why you are saying to use pureness rom ?? any technical reason behind it ??
No i said that cuz i thought u have it.. but do this :ut out battery 1 minute then recovery menu and fastboot mode use fastboot mode for flashin the kernel 2 times and put out battery again 1 minute then turn on recovery screen factory reset and wipe dalvik cache and install the rom and restart phone and say result i did this to solve mine and it worked ( dont reset battery stats)
Sent from my ST18i using xda app-developers app
@emosis bro , i am booting to fastboot like we normally do (switch off phone>>hold volume up and connect to pc)
is there any different method too, as you are saying - "recovery menu and fastboot mode"
I also tried , booted in recovery then selected reboot in fastboot mode but phone started normally.
Thanks a lot.
Note: I am not a noob, in fact a developer kinda geek, but this problem made me sick and tired , i surrendered. seems like hardware problem.
If possible please tell me what happened with your phone, did you faced exact problem like i did ?
In sirkay kernel reboot in fastbootmode or while using phone settings application develop usb debugging on..and use flashtool reboot in fastboot mode phone led must be blue.. if it s ok flash the kernel 2 times and do what i said bro.

yes, then go into recovery
- wipe data / factory reset
- wipe dalvik-cache
- wipe battery stats
- flash rom
- boot into rom
Strange, I had no problems when going back to .62 from CM9 stable...
I've heard that you can wipe EVERYTHING from the phone memory, leaving only basic programs and protocols like flashmode and fastboot by taking the battery out and charging the phone without for some time. Maybe it should help, though I never used this method and I don't know if it's safe or will it ever work...

The Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925V for Verizon turns on but it shuts down by itself exactly after 1 minute and 10 seconds and it would stay off. I already tried flashing compatible firmware but nothing changed. Could anybody help??

Recovery works fine. I also tried flashing the phone with the last software. I even tried the Verizon software assistance. Same results.
