[Q] I can't access my Google account!? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

There is an app its name "freedom" this app is use to pay from Google play store for free. I'm install this app and use to hake some app. But after some day when i try to open the Google play store they say "no connection" , and when I try to login to Google account in setting they say no Internet connection

That's what you get for messing with google.
Uninstall that crappy app (because that's what they are) or else do a factory reset (not if you're on 4.0.4 please, or you'll kiss your phone bye bye).
Sent from the little guy

Bad idea to talk about that app here. (xda-DEVELOPERS)
Anyway, google actually can find out about you using this and they can practically ban that "freecard" thing (i don't use it). They could actually also file a lawsuit (yes it's possible).
Still you did this, i can help to give you second chance. I've heard "uninstall all updates" works when this happens, and you can use Google PLay as normal (i don't know if this is true)
Haven't heard about the blcoking of the account though, but try making a new one.
As gastonw said: GET RID OF THAT, before you go way over the line...
*EDIT* Also as gaston said, wipe the phone after you do this and reboot

[Q] Detaching app from market to purchase it again!

One of my friend have installed a pirated app of swiftkey...now the market have started throwing error for him for swiftkey and it had stopped giving predictions. He came to me asking for help. I told him i can only help in case he purchase it (and sale was also going on) so when he went to his market to buy it shows there already purchased (even after uninstalling from phone). I tried for him by detaching the app from the market from titanium backup but still it shows there. Cleared all cache and data for the app and market and still no avail. Is there any way to fix this or will have to go ahead and buy from another google account and have multiple accounts added in market ?
*(sorry for informal english and any grammatical errors that might have made their way in)*
Thanks much in advance!!
I have never heard of a pirated app showing as 'purchased' in the app store.
Uninstall the app.
Clear app store cache and data. Reboot.
if it shows as purchased, just reinstall. If not, buy it.
It seems like he wants the legit app and not the pirated one. If the app store shows it as purchased, and he/you, whoever, downloads it, it will be the legit app. The app store will not give you a pirated version.
I see no problem here, other than your friend pirates apps.
Titanium Backup has ability to detach apps from Market.

No it doesn't work like that. When I get free apps off amazon the market sometimes shows when they need to be updated. If you try to update them, it gives you an error saying you didn't pay for it. If you uninstall the app, it will still show up as purchased, and you won't be able to purchase it or install it.

No it shows. Normally when u install apps from Amazon or use some apk for testing then those apps too show as purchased in the market. U cant reinstall from the market and neither can purchase them. Market doesnt allow you to repurchase the purchased item(though infact it was never purchased).
I have tried detaching it from market though TiB but still this doesnt get fixed.
Not sure if reflashing the whole rom after a full wipe will help.
Anybody??

Detaching doesnt help Already done that.
You could try buying it from the market website. Apps not installed from the market will not show under My Apps but if you search for the app on your device it will show as installed since it probably detects the app on the device itself.

No luck there too. Web market also shows that the app is purchased. Guess its synced to google market's servers and even reflashing wont work after full wipe.

That is weird that it happens that way. It has not happened to me and I use amazon market and have pushed many apps to my phone. I have not encountered this. Also, android market has never prompted me to update an app that I got from Amazon.
Not saying it does not happen, it seems obvious that it does, it just has not happened to me.
Is the app available on Amazon market? If so, can he just purchase it from there?

Was referring the Amazon apps case as stated by Waddle in the above post. And sadly Amazon not available in our country
I seem to have this issue as well. Trying to move away from amazon market and re-purchase my apps on the android market, however the amazon purchased apps are showing in my android market as purchased and I can't get rid of it.
Any other ideas on how this can be fixed?
sign in with another google id and you can buy it again. But this way has it draw backs too..
I have the same problem with swiftkey... I got it from the GetJar store a few months ago but it was an old version and i uninstalled it. now I cant buy it from the market as it is shown as purchased. and as said by abhisahara nothing seems to help.
cant anyone think of something to do?
Same thing going on here
oddly enough, I had dead space and shadowgun then i saw the 50% off and i uninstalled both from my android and then i went and purchased dead space and it worked but then went to purchase shadowgun and it shows as purchased and i cannot neither download it nor purchase it. It is becoming annoying. Any ideas?
have you tried uninstalling it from within the market app on your Android device?
My forum colleague found a way. Here is the solution - it's a croatian forum so i will write it here in english.
1. open Google play (Market) in Chrome browser (on your desktop/laptop) and find the wanted app (best would be that you backup the app via Ttitanium backup if you can, and uninstall it)
2. right click at PURCHASED, and select Inspect element
3. above the selected row you'll see data-ispurchased="true". Look at the screenshot (if the sshot doesn't work, PM me)
4. change"true" in "false" and select enter (on your keyboard)
5. now click PURCHASED that will open the popup for buy via google wallet so you can purchase the app (of course, you must have a valid credit or visa card and a registered wallet account for this to work)
it worked for me. bought two apps, cut the rope and quell reflect.
maybe it works in other browser, didn't try it.
had some problems with downloading the second app. had re-change the inspect element to true. and after the re-check the app started downloading on my phone.
thanks to my pce forum colleague Lacy for this info.
It really works, I've been looking for ages !
After a few tries and uninstalling the app from my phone, I could purchase it. No more update worries !

Can't download paid apps i receive Error 403 Android market.

Hi!
I purchased Tasker android app on the android market 7th march. When i try to download that app i receive "Error Takser could not be downloaded due to and error. (403)". My bank confirm Google charged, but i can't download it. If i visit android market using web browser i can see i already purchased it. If i clear cache data on "Play store" app its not work? Are there any solution?
Why don't you contact the developer with your order number and see if he can help
Email google about this issue.
I'm having this issue with all my Android Devices....this is apparently a problem with google. I've been in contact with them and they said their were issues with teh conversion to Google Play. I've been dealing with this for 2 weeks and have access to free apps, but I can't buy any. I've been forced to purchase apps from the Amazon Appstore. Google apparently doesn't want my money....I've been sending emails to google and the developers of the apps I purchased (Scrubs and Cut the Rope: Experiments) and have had literally NO correspondence from google or the the developers. This sucks, as I just got my Prime and Picked up a Used A100, now Google is screwing me....Just some bad news...considering that it's been 2 weeks since this issue cropped up for me and the fact that Google (and it appears the developers) are ignoring my emails, I'm going to assume two things, Google doesn't care, suggesting you start a new google account and re-buying your apps, or it's a known issue and they just don't want to deal with us right now....I just want a straight answer....It could be months before this is fixed....I recommend emailing google ASAP.
I have the same issue. Galaxy S2.
I downloaded an application ($20) from a forum to test it before purchasing, now after uninstalling it, it says i've already purchased it!
So i go to click INSTALL (no Buy button) in the Market (Google Play) and it says error 403 or something..
I thought I would be smart and download the AppBrain appstore. Well the STUPID thing is there is no reason to ever use this, as it just opens up the Market and wants me to install again without buying!
I tried to do the same thing with the Amazon app store, but they too divert you back to the Market app (market:// I assume)
Has anyone got any ideas on how I can "reset" or make the market think I haven't purchased this Application, and be able to purchase it legitimately and support the developer and receive frequent updates form the developer????
Thank you very very much!
Don't worry dude, every android users are facing the same issue all over the world. It is the Google's side that is having issues.
My google play have your issue intermediately few days ago.
I've had the same problem so I decided to use Wifi from home. I found that by using my home wifi that I was able to update. I know this doesn't help the problem if you are not connected to wifi but if you are at home - it might help

Just started getting this error again. Anyone else? Tried clearing store cache, dalvik-cache and google framework cache. Still gives a 403 error when attempting to download a paid app.
I just did a factory reset on my phone, and all my apps, free and paid installed no problem.. except Smart Keyboard Pro. It showed "purchased", I clicked it and told it to install (from the PC), and that was over an hour ago. I have restarted, and it still wont download, i get the 403 error each time..
I'm open for ideas...

Your suggestion works perfectly! Unfortunately, it is requiring me to repurchase an app I've already paid for and I don't want to repay. I know, I know $2.99 is not going to break the bank; but it's kinda the principle. No worries, if I don't find an alternative solution I will be forking over the cash.
So I have had this ongoing issue as well for over 9 months. Tech support was a joke, like some of you have figured out.
Somehow, with no intervention from me, the problem fixed itself both on the website and the device. Not sure what happened, but im happy it did. I was fairly close to cutting all ties to google services over this, guess I dont have to now.
Here appslova.com have compiled solutions to fix error 403:
Method 1: The most common fix for most Android market or Google Play related errors.
Go to system settings>> Accounts>>Google>>remove your Gmail account
Now from settings>>Apps>>All> Force stop, Clear data and cache for Google Play Store, Google Service Framework and Download Manager (like in method 1)
Now again go to settings>> Accounts>>Google>>Add your gmail account
Restart your android and then accept all the Google terms and setup Google settings
Rerun Google Play Store and update or install your app.
Method 2-Clearing Proxy:
Go to settings>>Wireless and Networks>>More>>Mobile Networks
APN (Access Point Name)>>MOWAP>>Edit
Select clear Proxy option
Try to re-run the installation in Google Play Store
Method 3-Router Proxy Settings:
Open your router configuration or settings panel (example- typing 192.168.1.1 on the browser brings up the router settings on my TP-Link router)
Now find your filter settings>>Uncheck Proxy
If that didn’t work also uncheck Cookies box from the filter settings
Now install your app from Google Play
Method 4- Alternative Google account
Create another Google account if you currently have only one account
Open Google Play Store>>Press Menu button>>Accounts>>select the alternative Gmail account
Now try installing the app
Method 5- Browser Fix: I found this solution on Phonebuff.com.
Go to play.google.com on your Computer’s web browser (preferably Google Chrome).
Sign into your Google account (by hitting the sign-in button at the top right).
Search for the app you wish to purchase and download.
Open the app’s page up by clicking the title link.
On the “install” or “purchase” button, right click and press “inspect element.”
Above the row that will be highlighted, you’ll see several lines of code. Locate the “data-ispurchased=”true” code (near the bottom of the paragraph).
Double click on the “true” in data-is purchased=”true” and change it to “false” then press enter on your keyboard.
Now click on “installed” or “purchased” to buy the app as you normally would
These methods might seem like a lot of work but hopefully one of these methods will solve the 403 error for your Android.

Google apps

Probably an easy question but when I go into my apps it lists everyone I ever downloaded. How do I get rid of them so I dont have to scroll or auto download?
Guess nobody knows?
It should only list the ones you paid for, and of course the ones you have currently installed.
Free apps that you downloaded, and then uninstalled should only stay there until reboot (I believe)

Nope lists everything I ever had. Sick of going through 10 pages of stuff.
Try going into settings applications and market (or google play if you have the updated one), clear cache and data then open the maket up again accepting the terms and conditions. Go to my apps again and it should have cleared them.

I agree with clearing the market/play cache in app management.

Ok normally I can figure this out. Guess Im a little slow today but dont see that anywhere. I open google play , go to settings and dont have that option anywhere.
Go into phone settings not google play settings. Then applications then all tab at the top of screen. Find google play and tap it tap clear cache and clear data. Then start google play app as normal and accept the terms and conditions. Job done hopefully!

Because he used the words "10 pages of stuff", I believe the OP is talking about the website, not the phone app. https://play.google.com/store does show every app you've downloaded. It'll also show old phones you may not even own anymore. No way to get rid of them afaik, and if you google the problem theres all sorts of talk about it out there.

Yes that is correct as Ive flashed several Roms and anything I did have would have been cleared by now. Also yes to the webpage for google and it lists phones. That has changed several times. Guess I will google and try and find the answer. Thanks.
Post back if you do find a solution but the last I dug around on the subject a month or so ago, old apps and old devices are not removable from the Play website. Its something Google controls and there is nothing end users can do at this point.
Here's a good start for you with some relevant links: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1442148
While the link(s) above pertain mostly to removing old devices, the same goes for old apps. It seems Google is quite aware of it but does not want to give us control over removing such items.
The question of the day is, why?

Nobody wants to give up control. When setting up a Rom I have had it try to use Backup Asst. and I dont want it. So when I set up google I use to get these texts from verizon. Some whack crap. Called and funny how one tech takes care of it and the other is plain out stupid. I had one say freeze/force stop backup asst which you cant do because force stop just restarts. One tech took care of it and the other put in a trouble ticket.

[Q] Play Store won't let me re-download purchased apps

Yesterday I finally rooted, and maybe picked a bad time... I've done 2c, 3a, wifi wipe, nandroid backup and flashed modem to UCKK6. And now the Play Store wants me to re-buy apps.
Play store knows of a similar issue, but I haven't found anything like this in the i777 forum, and maybe I just screwed up when re-entering my Google account after wiping. I've done everything possible with my Google account, including resetting the password, so i know the account works, at least. Am I missing the easy fix that everybody knows about? Any advice?
So your issue is its not showing the apps? Or its telling u u haven't bought the app
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
They (only a few, but still...) show as available to buy. I guess another question would be (now that I've purchased TIBU Pro) how to avoid this when I flash to ics?
Try loging into your Play Store from the computer and see if it tells you differently.. My experience with it in the past, it will show what you have brought when you log into the Play Store. Then you can do the option to have it re-install from there.
This isn't I777-specific - Google Play has been having issues lately.
It hasn't even scrolled off of the first page of Engadget Mobile yet.

true i could never understand why they changed it to play store tho market seemed more stable
The worst part is that I'm not sure I have that known issue. I had the play store working properly (* at least it appeared to be working...) until root/wipe, which I did the day this issue appeared. **** luck or coincidence? Probably both...
Any other i777 users with this problem?

I had similar issues when I would use TiBu to restore, but instead of just doing apps, I did all apps and data - it would screw up the market links so it didn't know what I owned any more. Being careful to only restore missing apps + data has taken that problem away. And just rooting shouldn't have done it.
Unless you restored "wrong", I'd wait and see how well Google responds (they're not very good at it, sadly).

Thanks, but I didn't restore at all... I never bought TiBU before rooting (wouldn't have worked, right?) so that was the first thing I did after root. Then I noticed that my old apps had prices again. I thought I would be able to re-download them...

Good tip, found out that my whole Google account has a start date of March 29. Should be October 15th, or thereabouts. Of course, march 29th was root/wipe day, so maybe I failed reconnecting to Google? I've sent "feedback", but won't hold my breath...
Now that I see other i777 users are having issues like mine, I'm taking the jokes out of this thread title. Sassibob, Y U B USELESS?
PS. Help request form filled out, ticket # received. Still not holding my breath...
Patience. Sadly this is do to some issues with their account server. Submit your ticket and wait patently. Get a receipt from your email and attach it so they can find the old data and fix it.

I had this issue the other day, and the fact that I had the options to auto-restore app data from "the cloud" screwed with things badly. I turned that off, it warned me it was going to delete all device data from my dashboard. After that, it acted properly.

Patience is wearing thin... Greg from PlayStore support team has now referred me to this website. As far as I can tell, it's a closed loop, with NO help options if your issue isn't among the few they address. What next?
http://support.google.com/accounts/?hl=en
PS. All aspects of my google account have re-started on root/wipe day, including Gmail. No access to the email receipts or any other emails from before.
Sent Google Play support another message yesterday, saying I have receipts on my phone bills.
No reply.
Well, I finally got Google support (main, not play store) to look into this. I had created multiple Google accounts, and all is fixed. Except: they can't or won't link those accounts, so to get those apps back from scratch, I will always have to log in to both accounts.

Can't Sign into Google account, and 'no connection' in play store!

I don't know what to do. At first my play store said no connection, so I signed out of my google account. After that, when I press the play store button it asks me to sign in, but when I do, it says "can't establish a reliable connection to the server."
My internet is fine, how do I fix this? I am lost.
Rooted? If so, have you tried to clean cache and reboot? That helped me once. If your not rooted try clearing app data thru settings. Then reboot.

Have you had this problem with a specific ROM?
I'm running the stock touch wiz, if that's what you mean
Have you tried to change your network mode, then change it back. Also, turning airplane mode off/on?
I just tried turning airplane mode on them off again. And I tried connecting on both my home wifi and on 4g. No luck though.
I was looking around online and one site said that it could have to do with the time on my phone. When I look though the time is correct

Have you tried to uninstall the Google apps and re install?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
I downloaded the Google play app again last night, but that didn't work. Should I do the same with all the Google apps, but un install them before downloading them again?
And I think Google play music still works for some reason. YouTube, Gmail and Google play are the ones that I'm having an issue with.
Edit:my play music still has all of my accounts stations
You might try removing your google account and re-adding it.
I am signed out of my account. When I go into settings and look at accounts, I am not signed into a Google account, and if I try to sign in I get the same screen I posted on the last page. I don't get how my play music is still signed in
Don't sign out, remove the account totally from settings.
I think it is completely removed. It prompts me to either add an existing account or a new one.
I made a video to show my problem. In the first part, I show clearing app data in the settings. Then I show what happens when I try to sign into google play or gmail. After that shows that youtube and chrome are signed in, and the same goes for google play music.
Afterwards I show how there is no google account signed in in the settings.

O well.. you got me. The only thing I would try next would be a factory reset.
How do I use titanium backup to restore my apps if I lose my root when I do a factory reset
I don't think you will loose root just by doing a factory reset. But, to make sure you can install a root keeper app like https://play.google.com/store/apps/...m9yZy5wcm9qZWN0dm9vZG9vLm90YXJvb3RrZWVwZXIiXQ.. to make sure.
