Google Navigation map rotation problem - AT&T LG Optimus G

Recently, my google navigation stopped turning to face the direction I was driving. It still follows the blue arrow around but the map doesn't rotate to follow the direction driving. Has anybody else experienced this or have any idea how to fix it?

[Q] screen locks itself while on gps (using maps app)

hello,
I have tried looking for setting , but in vain. whenever i use gps the screen locks itself . its so annoying , then i have to unlock and open maps app again. anyone having same problem ? Maps should have this by default why will a person on earth like to lock its screen when he using gps assisted maps .
Anyone with a solution?
Adjust the screen timeout when using it.
The answer for your problem is "Screen Mode Widget Lite". With the widget on your homescreen you easily change mode with a "tap" and get the screen to stay on.

GPS Mode

Is there a shortcut way to launch google navigation into GPS mode only instead of launching google navigation and then having to pick the map icon in the upper right corner?

No GPS icon when using Waze

I'm a long time Waze but when running Waze on my OPX there's no GPS icon in the status bar. With Google Maps there is. I'm wondering if this is a Waze bug or if this is an indication that Waze is not using actual GPS but rather WiFi to determine my position. One of the things I've noticed is that Waze is slower to react when I don't follow the route that it was on my OPO.
Anyone else seen this?
Same on H2OS. No icon. But i did use it a few days on Oxygen OS and Waze seemed fine. BUT not as fast as my previous phone, so something IS wrong here...
Works fine for me.
But you're right no GPS icon. When you open the notification drawer, "Localisation" is all right. You can long clic on it to see your settings.

Pie screen rotation toggle missing with full screen gestures & hidden hints.

Hi,
Have any of you guys experienced this bug?
After updating to android Pie, we get this small icon on the bottom right of the screen after rotating your phone. You can touch it to rotate the screen or if you ignore it, it will disappear by itself after a few seconds. Recently I have been experimenting with full screen gestures and I liked it a lot. I have no issue with the gesture hints turned on, but I noticed that if I hide the gesture hints, the small icon also stop working after awhile. It does not stop working immediately, so after I turned the hint off it still appears if I rotate the screen, but minutes later (probably 15-20 minutes), if I turn the phone sideways, the button does not appear. I have to rotate through the notification panel (the old way) or I have to turn the navigation bar back to button or turn on the hints to get the small icon back (only for it to go missing again a few minutes after I hide the hints again).
I use full screen gestures without hints and it works fine on my phone. Maybe try to reset your settings and report the bug.
