Hi guys, sorry for the stupid question but I am new to this world and I have a doubt.
Are this freeXperia Project CM10 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1780326 and this from the CM site http://www.cyanogenmod.org/devices/sony-ericsson-xperia-mini just the same or are they different projects?
Thanks in advance and sorry again.
As far as I know it is nearly the same and some FXP members are in cm team or some cm members are in FXP, don't know exactly
But FXP had more updates (I guess weekly) during the first few months building cm, don't know if cm updates more often now. Just check the building dates
But I'm still not sure, could be I'm wrong. Just wait for other members here, maybe they know more about that :good:

FXP is the official CM mainter for xperia devices. The sources used by CM are the FXP one's. the CM site releases nightly versions without some features like FM radio.
To answer your question, yes they are same as they use the same sources.

This is newer version, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1226715
On the homepage, are just some older versions, it is the FXP team that is creating the official CyanogenMod for Xperia devices, on forum these are unofficial releases, that are given for people to try out. Official releases are posted to the homepage.
Short - Same ROM, on the website just older version.
Does somebody know if the FXP (Free Xperia Projekt) is working on a Portation of CM9 or CM10 for Xperia P. I mean the Bootloader is already unlocked. Other Devices with locked Bootloader already got CM. Perhabs the FXP looks for a challenge :silly:. If somebody got information please share? FXP Go For XP please

As far as I know, they are on it. AOKP is also planning to support it. I think we might see alphas during the next week. (if we are lucky)

AOKP, yes, but FXP haven't said for definite whether they will support the P, U and Sola yet, so you might not get CM.
I don't think you will likely get anything by next week, FXP is working on S and Acro S, as well as new msm7x27 devices, K900 from AOKPXperia team is on holiday, I from same team am preparing some stuff for college, and idk about the others.
But you will get some AOKP goodness

Waiting ICS kernel sources?
AOKP and FXP will support SXP!
Hey guys...
I've just installed the Cyanogenmod 9 in my Xperia Neo V and I found a problem... the both light and proximity sensors are not working (those ones beside thre front camera)..
How can I fix that???
Thanks!
Hello Newbie,
Report the bug to cyanogen mod team, why the hell are you posting this here? (Even if you post anything like this next time, always specify which rom/kernel/baseband you use.)
And for the next time always use FXP CM releases rather than downloading from cm website directly.
Peace, oh yea btw learn to search before creating new thread :S
i too used cm9 no such issues
probably kernel or baseband related
if not format your sd card and do all wipes and install it again

Hello, sorry for maybe a stupid question but I cannot find info anywhere on CM10 development for Xperia U. Since it seems unlikely Sony is going to release any official JB ROM for this phone I am eager to get it.... thanks, and big thanks to all the developers who make this site what it is :good:

A CM10 is currently under development for the xperia U/Sola, its being developed by the freexperia team. Maybe in 15 days to a month we should see it running on our devices. :good:

Sony as of now is not providing details about Xperia U and Sola Jelly bean updates....
the rest of their 2012 Xperia Phone will get Jelly Bean by June 2013..

Yes. This is not good. Sony very bad about software update. Xperia J will get jb for sure but don't know about u and sola. It should get jb because Xperia U and Sola are far better than Xperia J.

Thank you! Where do you/I find this information?
Yes I know Sony has not yet decided about Xperia U JB upgrade but IF they do it it will be "mid-quarter 2013", probably later, which already is almost a year since the release of JB.... cannot understand why it would take a full year for Sony to custumize their firmware....
I just read that somewhere
But currently freexperia's official site says CM9 for the u/go/sola is in progress. Regarding the official JB for the U/SOLA, Sony has mentioned that they are still actively testing the JB on sola/u.

Its safe to assume that it will take atleast 6 months to get an official JB update from sony knowing their delays. By then we may have a stable CM10/AOKP JB or maybe even a CM11 LOL.

I personally prefer a clean or stock android rom to a rom thats loaded with bloat and other filth by OEMs
on the freexperia google project home you can monitor the progress of the different builds for cm9 and cm 10
can't use outside links in the post because of the 10 post requirement but just use Google and search for freexperia
current this is the latest progress
CHANGELOG
FXP143
CM9.1
- latest cm 9.1
- first demo release (U,Sola,Go)
CM10.0 - M2
- latest cm 10.0

Yes I saw this, but I was looking for specific development for Xperia U... thanks anyway
would switch to cm9.1 as soon as they release it. fed up of sony's official release.
What's the word on hardware support? Would we get a fully working camera, FM radio, power management, etc?
I've been reading up on some of the current builds, and it seems not everything is working fine (then again there is an awful lot to read, so I may have missed something).

Hey xperia x8 users and devs,
I try to build a clean CM 10.1 on my PC
The CM 7/9/10 development thread seems a bit overloaded and I want to collect all neccessary facts, when I try to build CM 10.1.
What will be needed here?
- Manifest files for build a clean repository (which devicetree, display libs ...)
- Which patches were used?
- Kernel configs and additional kernel driver
What will be the aim?
- Get a functional CM 10.1 on xperia x8 with most of the hardware features
Builds for testing pruposes will be posted here in this dev thread.
This thread is aimed for development purposes not for whishes like "Can you make feature xyz working?". It is the main task to get most of the things on xperia x8 working like cam, camcorder, Bluetooth, GPS, WIFI , SD-CARD.

Some time ago, was trying to port the 2.6.39 kernel from ZTE for android 4.2
Compiled but could not boot, and t MSM shakira/delta board fully ported into kernel
something was missing.
and to make a compilation of 4.2.2 need legacy libraries for old binaries
and build using miniphone and not fullphone in the configs.
u can read from here
https://github.com/androidarmv6
rom boot, but need more power into kernel
So now that you have done?
i'm compiling jb 4.2.2 right now and i have so many error's , but i managed to fix most of them so let's hope.

guys this is DEV thread and not thank you or general discussion thread .
While we can't see any real contents (source, device config or prebuilt rom for testing) this project is THEORETICAL only, and we can't do more than talking about the NOTHING...
Without any concrete things nobody can help.

go there and see if you can help with something ..
https://github.com/androidarmv6
I saw this project earlier, and Daveee10 opened a discussion about the 4.2 development (it was in the last year).
But you have a working version, why NOT post is?
The users can post feedback, and more member will be join, if they can test it.
As I wrote earlier in pm, I'm not interested in the cm10+ development, especially if need to start it from zero. But I think more easy to make a group what working on one project, if the possible members NOT need to start everything from the beginning.
EDIT: this is not offense, just a suggestion.
