As far as I know: download a stock sammy firmware and look into the rar file, firmware should include a kernel.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I guys, I too would love to only the kernel... in my case, the JB kernel from yesterday Kies file...
It's the boot.img that is inside the tar file, isn't??
What should I do to flash it via Odin?? Just extract it and put it inside a tar file without any compression (only store it) ??
Can this be true i need to flash a rom on my phone but the kdz way is way to long and complicated.
Is there a flashable way to install a stock rom on l9 p769?
or a way to install a kdz file thru and if yes any link plz :/
i have CWM recovery so i wanna know if there a way to flash it thru here.
There is, and a believe lelus made a flashable version of a jellybean ROM. I'm not sure where it is, try searching the development section for it
Could anyone link me to a guide or give some steps as on how to extract just the baseband from an ftf file and create a flashable zip?

Were you ever able to make one? I'm getting issues with data on tmobile with my Z2 on all non-stock roms. I'm clearly missing something but haven't found jack on the subject yet. Nobody's even responded once in weeks. This is bizarre.
No the guide didn't work the same for z2 ftf files unfortunately.
Does anyone have just the kernel for stock TMobile G900TUVU1DOB1 or can anyone explain the easiest way for me to extract it from the Odin tar?

It is the boot.img that is in the tar file.
Should just be able to use that and have the kernel image that shipped with the new version.

Hope this helps.
I got what I needed, Thanks for the help.
Hi,
I have some issues with my stock rom for L70 D320n and i want to reflash it. I have tried to flash a custom recovery without success.
I've tried to download some of the stock ROMs from the official website but the links are not working for some reason. A clear example would be this one:
http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW382906432109876543213/D320n10c_00.kdz
The page stays blank and tried to access multiple .kdz files on their website having the same result.
Can anyone help me with a link for a stock ROM?
Thanks so much in advance!
Cheers!

You want to extract that zip. I don't know it contains firmware in .Kdz format.
