Question: Ultimate HD - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi, i was using this Xperia Ultimate HD™ ROM 3.0.2, and I Find this ROM amazing but I'm having issues with my Neo V, I have seen feedbacks that they can play HD games for real and not to mention the NFS MW, I'm testing roms over and over and i had this NFS MW, then i tried playing it on NEO V but unfortunately before the 2nd race it crashes from time to time.
I even flashed a stock .587 firmware and unfortunately, still same crashes occurred.
Any suggestions for this? I mean im using the Suave Kernel, the kernel is fine really.
I even asked the ROM developer jade about this and asked me the same thing but not lucky enough for me.

I guess you have a thread called Xperia Ultimate HD Q & A.. why to make new thread for a common issue??! Or use this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2276094
Its better to post rom related issuees in the respective rom threads..

I think it's not the best ROM for games like NFS:MW...
Use GB for games such as this.

Superb Ram Management with UHD 4.0
I am seeing pretty good RAM managament and very good gaming performance with Ultimate HD 4.0

Hi
I am using mt11i Xperia Neo V
I used to play ninja fruit(fruit ninja)
So I wanted to tell that almost all custom Roms be it Ics,Jb or GB
Every Rom plays that game pretty well!
And if you're not convinced with Ics,you can always remember this secret
"Sh,GB custom Roms or even stock Roms are best for gamers "

Basically all GB ROMS are best for gaming...be it normal games or HD games....

Which kernel do you prefer?

Hi everybody!
I'm using ICS 4.0.4 ( Xperia Ultimate HD 2.0.2 ROM ) on my neo v.
I'm playing games like BackStab, Fifa12, Hot Pursuit, Dead Trigger and more. I know, for games is GingerBread but I love ICS
Whoch kernel do you prefer for hard games on ICS?
I have Alliance 1.5 now. I want to have long battery life and best options for games
Sorry for my English ;D
Thanks!
Odp: Which kernel do you prefer?
Oh ok, thanks
Try Sauve v6

have you tried JB?
why don't you try JB for gaming?
Isn't it good?
pardon me, i am new about these so might not be right.
Using Neo V @ 1.6 GHz with Fusion 4.3 JB Kernel Super Jelly Bean 2.0
Gaming seems nice. Still now played most wanted, ran smooth with little lag at the start up but nothing after the main menu, just like playing it in Note. Battery is awesome. Mine is lasting like 18-20 hours with moderate usage. (Its been 1.2 years)
JB ROMS are only for the looks and features but if u want to play HD Games then u better Switch to GB ROMS......the best kernel for GB Rom is Night Elf 10 Experimental Lite.......Governor: ondemand I/O Scheduler:sio.....
You will get best battery life and awesome Gaming Experience

Right now I have installed NOVA 3, HAWX HD, Temple RUN 2, FIFA 12, Asphault 7.
All are running smooth with just a few glitches at startup occasionally.

Jb Rom would lag in long run,you don't get much ram available in Jb Rom usually
Been there,done that hence saying!
Gb remains the best for our model atleast!

lupus+vengeance
I would suggest lupus kernel either for ics or jb,
and vengeance kernel for ics. Lupus is more performance-like kernel and vengeance is a balance between performance and battery.
Using search will guide you to their perspective pages.

GB or JB For Neo V?

I've tried a lot of GB and JB ROMs presented here on XDA. Very early on I decided to skip ICS, and so I cannot comment on ICS ROMs.
All of the JB ROMs I've tried (I have tried most but not every single one available here though) have given me problems one way or the other after heavy use. The common problems I've encountered are apps freezing, phone hanging and freezing and random reboots. My greatest fear is the phone closing down on me when I need it most. A reboot will solve all problems but don't think this is ideal. I'm trying out 1 last JB ROM (16 hours till now) and so far it has not displayed the problems I mentioned.
I really like the looks and functionalities of JB but I think I will have to return to GB if I want a 100% stable phone. Would like to hear comments and advice from those who have experimented with both GB and JB on their single-core phones. Thank you.
Jelly bean runs 100% smooth on my Galaxy S. No bugs what so ever. We even have 4.2.2 jelly bean now.

He wants to know about Neo V not galaxy S
Anyways @OP I'd not suggest any Rom in particular as you've tried many
But GB ROMS are supposed to be smoother atleast on our device and you may very well know the reason why it is so....
According to me, frankly such threads have no point as people state their opinions and support or favour a particular Rom and often some people go against this and results in an ugly quarrel! So next time, just avoid it and take these tips or advices on a casual note!

I guess I want to know what most ppl are using on their single-core cpu phones. So I welcome any and all comments. I've not had much luck with JB ROMs but it seems most developers here have moved on to ICS/JB. There aren't very many current GB ROMs available apart from Codename (as far as I know). Even Codename may end at X (current version) according to Emann. I'm still trying out one last JB ROM and if that doesn't work out I guess I'll be going back to GB.
AW: GB or JB For Neo V?
I have a Neo and using FXP 207 jelly bean with fusion kernel v4.5 (480p version)

Downloaded the xperia Z theme
Ive deleted unnecessary apps from system and ive flashed the gapps in light version (only 30 mb not 88mb)

It runs very smooth and i can play games lag free for example temple run 2 and asphalt 7
And battery life is also good ( for me 11 hours medium usage )

Agree. I am using latest thedarkdefender cm10 build with fusion 4.5 kernel and the phone runs very smooth. cm10 is my daily driver for about a month now and I never had any big problems.

I had been trying out my last JB ROM for 2 days and I was really liking it. I did a lot of travelling yesterday and all the time I was playing Subway Surfers. The game ran smooth the whole time and I thought the ROM was to be a keeper. When I got home last night the battery only had 30% remaining. So I charged it while I had a bath. After a couple hours it was fully charged. So I removed the charging cable and thought I'd resume Subway Surfers. For some reason the game was very laggy. Rebooted the phone and the game was still very laggy. I always seem to have problems with JB ROMs after a few days of use. I know a lot of people have gone weeks on JB ROMs and their phone are still smooth and fast. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Anyway I have now gone back to GB.
Hard luck mate,my 4th day on the Aosp Rom polish blood by Mike
And still things are fluid!
No lags encountered so far! Best I've used so far I can say
Sent from my Xperia Neo V using xda premium
I also think that Mike's Polish Blood is the best JB ROM at the moment. Unfortunately, my Neo V doesn't seem to like JB of any flavor.
Am also on AOSP JB polish blood, its my 5th day & its still running super smooth, no lag at all.. Best JB ROM available for Xperia neo V..

For the last 10 days i have been using KangXperiaProject with my Neo V
With Fusion 4.3 kernel.
Whoever uses their latest build (milestone-r2) will not regret it.
Excellent battery (i once got 6hrs of screen time!)
Excellent performance (no need to overclock)
No, and i mean NO lags.
No bugs.
Plenty of free ram, I have always ~120mb free, and i have viber, swiftkey, weather widgets, nova launcher etc...
All that is lacking is HDMI and 720p recording, for which i dont care!!

I've gone back to my "big" wife - Codename. It does exactly what I want it to do. And no surprises.
But thanks to your post I've been reading up on the KangXperiaProject thread. It does look like a great ROM and I'm beginning to get the itch to try it. For the time being, however, I need some stability.

Q. Gaming ROM for XPERIA Arc/ArcS/Neo/NeoV

Hey guys! Its been quite a month I have tried so many ROMs for My Neo V for the purpouse of gaming nd social networking, I often use Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, GTalk nd Maps (Latitude) for social networking with games like Temple Run/2, Jet Pack Joy Ride, Angry Birds, Racing Moto, Rail Rush nd Skater Boy.
I have seen after using more of social networing apps some games lags much mostly Temple Run nd Rail Rush nd ROM got slow as well.
So guys I want you to share ur best experience for gaming with social networing on any ROM for the devices XPERIA Arc/ArcS/Neo/Neo V

By far the most suited rom for me is
Omega 3.4 by theumad for Arc/Arc S.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836818
For Neo/neo V not ported yet but its easy to port nd this is what I did
Before playing heavy games I use a task killer to free up RAM nd then oftenly game play is very smooth with this ROM, a recommended ROM with Lupus Kernel for ICS..

XtremeSilencer has done a really gud job who r game intensive
Try his ROMs
Atomic GB 5.0 almost perfect ROM for everything u need except battery. .
Nd u can also try His SlimBean 2.5 ROM based on CM10 which is a Jelly Bean ROM for Arc/Arc S. ..
The best ROM in ICS suited to my taste is Omega 3.4 for Arc/Arc S.
But my recommendation is Atomic GB if u dnt care about battery life....

try super jelly bean with lupus jb v5 kernel
Well I guess this is not best rom for games thread. I think you just asking for suggestions am I rite if yes then
Codename x (gb)and ice cream pureness b14 (ics)and i-scream 13.1(ics) is my suggestion. Never tried atomic gb though..all fly for me in games and apps. And I have many instant messaging apps installed whatsapp, facebook messenger, viber, picsart etc and all games u specified in op + some small games for my friends as they feel my phone is best for games unlike theirs is galaxy s, xperia arc s with bloatwares etc. All are high end phones with dual core or single core(ofcoursely processor greater than 1ghz) bt still games lag for them for me they fly very smooth
Sent from my MT11i using Tapatalk 2
The ROM's u have mentioned tried all of them up to the latest update but for me they didn't work up to my satisfaction..
