Audio sample rate? - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Does anyone know how I can test a mod I did on the phone? It has definitely cleaned up my audio in a big way but, id really like to check it to see. If its all working I have a very simple mod to convert audio on the phone to 96000khz.

Maybe use the digital audio recording app from Audio Evolution, record a sample and look at the properties of the file when done. There is an another app by the same developer that allows recording from a usb audio interface that does the complete digital routing test as well. Hope that helps. Fyi..you may need the usb host mode cable and a compatible kernel to work.

[Q] Can SGS 2 Record line-in sound via headphone jack?

Does anybody know if the SGS2 can record sound via a 3.5mm input into the headphone jack?
It would seem a strange feature not to include. I haven't been able to find anybody else asking this question before.
I would like to know this as well!
Have you found a working solution?
Yes it works with Audio recording apps provided you have say a headset with an in-line mic.
Couldn't get it working in video with CM9.
Your experience may vary.

How about just for recording? I would like to attach it to a line out on a mixer to record mixes while DJ'ing. Would this be possible with any app?

Audio recording

Hey all, my prime is coming in soon and I can't wait to use it.
Does anyone know of a line in recording app that uses the headphone jack to capture the audio? I mix sound using sound boards and would love to capture a clean signal directly from the board.
I did a search but came up empty. If it had a clean ui and worked well, it would be worth paying for.
Thanks for your help!

How's the microphone on the Prime ?
It was really bad in the original Transformer I'm curious to know if they improve on that. Can someone test it ?

I recommend either use Equalizer with +2 -1 +1 +1 +2 on the equalizer. If you want really good sound however, visit RockoDev's thread with the Beats Audio drivers, and flash the 6.27 version to your phone. The sound is very good, I would not recommend to use an Equalizer with this driver, it's already optimized.

thans a lot...i'll try that
I normally use some combination of stock audio effects (under settings >sound), dsp manager (copy to system >apps, change permissions to rw-r--r--) and the equalizer built into play music app. I play my music as loud as possible at work.

Get a headphone amplifier that has eq options if you want good sound.

i use SK PRO Carbon... and i found best results using rock equalizer just changing the 10 KHz freq to 8 and 3 KHz freq to 7
I'd suggest looking at the output and the quality of the files you're playing back as well. Get a nice pair of headphones (audio technica, akg, beyerdynamics, sennheiser, etymotic) and a decent amp if you need it. Equalizers and other software effects can only take you so far in terms of improving quality.
Also look at the format/quality of your source. Try higher bitrate/lossless formats as they make a significant difference depending on the genre.
Personally i find the poweramp eq to be more than sufficient for my listening.

I installed BEATS audio yesterday, but still sound is far from ideal in comparison to my old Samsung Galaxy 3... I don't know... in Razor music (even FLAC) sounds to me like it's washed or like i am listening inside bucket. hehe...
A lot people says many good words about razor, but i am dissapointed personally with quality.
Headphones i use are Sennheiser hd202, mostly listening good quality compilations.
Does any one else feels the same or similar way as me?
p.s. I am using PowerAMP player
Try dsp manager....worka good on mine...

There are several types of sound effects in the stock firmware. Please review sound settings, perhaps several of them are enabled which distorts sound.

I have xt912 but sound is probably similar. I always hear hissing/static on every song.
Tried replacement phones, different headphones, to no avail.
Something in hardware or software is amiss.

This might be due to a physical damage to or lint in audio out jack, which is very common. Reviews didn't show anything particularly wrong with RAZR audio:

Bluetooth audio settings

Currently using rooted s3 with aokp jb with siyah 1.8.with stweaks, and playing with the audio settings whilst playing music streaming over Bluetooth to my Bose soundlink, I cannot notice any difference?
I've since found out Bluetooth bypasses the dac, so doesn't effect it, how do I manage them to have an effect over Bluetooth?
Cheers in advance.

Are you streaming bluetooth audio through a headset or to a pc ? If there is a option .. does changes you apply from the recipent bluetooth device affect the audio ? O:
It's streaming to a Bose Soundlink speaker. It's got no options to set sound on it.
It needs to be done on device streaming the music... bah.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Did you try connecting directly through a cable or something ?
Maybe the application only applies effect on the device and it doesn't change the orginal defaults of the music .
Yeah, it's because Bluetooth streamed music bypasses any dac within the kernel unlike headphones or speaker on phone.
I was hoping there may be an app which can intercept the Bluetooth transmission and amend with audio presets.
