Season ticket holders will now be able to get RedZone on their mobile devices for free.
Any devs here can make this available to all?
Free NFL RedZone on mobile for season ticket holders in works

The NFL is planning on making NFL RedZone free on mobile devices to all season ticket holders in 2013, according to a report by Daniel Kaplan of the Sports Business Journal via his Twitter feed.
The NFL is trying to make a push to increase the "value" of purchasing season tickets for fans, as attendance across the league has dipped the past few seasons. One of the reasons for the dip in attendance is the fact that the home experience has become almost better than the game day experience in the stadium for some people. With the availability of HD television and the RedZone channel, some fans at home have a better experience.
With the addition of RedZone on mobile devices, the NFL is giving fans a chance to have that same experience at the game on Sundays. Though, the next push should be stadium-wide WiFi with plenty of bandwidth, as cell receptions in NFL games is typically a pain.

You can watch it if you have Cox Cable or UVerse via the "Watch NFL Network" app. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't work in landscape mode for the HTC One or any other phone, just tablets.

Watching the nba today is a blessing no doubt, but I noticed that sprint has an app called nba mobile. Is that like Verizon nfl mobile and is there a way to crack it for our phones?
I'm living on a yellow submarine
Nope, service exclusive content. Not just the app is not compatible, you won't get the content.
Nba league pass app was cracked last season to watch and hear games live. Hope there is something this season.

The Sprint app to be used on Verizon? Besides, we would need root for it to work if that was true.
No the official nba app

Us people that ordered through BB have to wait till Sunday. There now don't you feel better. lol
I'm not sure if the extra 2 day wait was worth the $50 and a case I'll probably never use. Right now it don't feel like it.
That was my dilemma as well. Of course BB made it easier for me when I got up at 3 AM on Feb 5th to preorder and there wasn't an option to preorder on BB yet. Also, I'm not sure if I just overlooked it or what, but on BB's online orders I didn't see an option to keep my 2 GB of data for $25. I barely use 1 GB so I definitely didn't need 3 GB. That really sealed the deal for me. I didn't see myself using the flip case either.
Although I'm going to try out the AT&T live tv 7 day trial when I get my Note and see if it's worth the $10 per month. If I end up keeping it I will probably need the extra gig of data for $5 bucks more. We will see though.

I have an older Slingbox and I'm thinking about upgrading to a high def one. It really is great. You get all your channels that you get at home. If you have Sattelite or cable and movie channels it's awesome.
You should look into a Slingbox. It will pay for itself with a lot more channels, including all your locals.
That looks awesome, but it has a little too much up front cost for me right now. With getting a $300 phone, I don't think my wife would enjoy me spending another $330 to be able to watch TV on it. But you are right, it would definitely pay off in the long run. That is unless I got fired for watching TV at work, haha.

Also I wonder if we get that cool sample HD video that shows off the screen capabilities, like the Intl. Note has.
@ 9:30 she points out a speedtest result when "we forced the phone to HSPA+"...does this mean LTE can be disabled in the AT&T version? I remember reading that was not an option with the Skyrocket?
Does slingbox provide its own content to cable and local channels or is it working off an existing provider like a fios tv?

It just slings whatever channels you have on your satellite or cable TV over the internet to your phone.
It has these infrared things that hang in front of my satellite box that allow it to change my channels. It used to freak my kids out on Sundays when they were watching cartoons and the channel would change to football all by itself because I changed on my phone at work.
One great thing about these phones with the hdmi out capabilities and a slingbox is that you could be in a hotel anywhere in the world and hook your phone up to the TV and watch all of your channels, local, movie, etc.

I will ask her and report back.
EDIT: Lisa said there is not voice and data over LTE yet. When you make a phone call, the phone switches to HSPA+ and then takes a minute to go back to LTE after you end the call and that is when she did the speed test on HSPA+. There is not LTE/HSPA+ toggle on the ATT Gnote.
Thanks for the update! Hopefully a custom rom will remedy that sooner than later!
Okay so I'm just curious, what in gods name was Verizon thinking with this Latino based store. Which to me seems like a Verizon store with a play place. I think I understand where that thirty dollar phone activation fee is going to. They were making a big deal about this press event only to unveil a J-LO themed store? Not a new phone, or new pay plans, or anything important or interesting. Am I the only one who is just kinda wowed by this?

If you read this whole thing, you'll see that Verizon doesn't own the stores. They are just doing business with them. The stores are Viva Movil.
LAS VEGAS — Jennifer Lopez unexpectedly took the stage at a Verizon Wireless press conference Wednesday to talk about Latinos and wireless service.
“As modern Latinos we do things differently, including how we shop for mobile devices,” said Lopez.
With that in mind, she's launching Viva Movil, a new wireless store and online presence designed specifically for the Latino community. Lopez will serve as the Chief Creative Officer for the company and is also the majority shareholder.
Verizon will be the exclusive wireless provider for Viva Movil, but it does not own a portion of the company.
SEE ALSO: Jennifer Lopez to Premiere Music Video on Twitter
“Latinos love social networks and we’re super active online,” Lopez said, noting that Latinos spend an average of 1.5 hours more online than non-Latinos, and they enjoy sharing their online purchases with friends.
Viva Movil customers will be able to make purchases on Facebook. On both Lopez’s and Viva Movil’s Facebook page, customers will be able to select a device to buy and Verizon wireless plan and make a purchase. The company will have an online store presence as well.
Plans will be the same Verizon wireless plans and pricing currently available in existing Verizon Wireless stores.
Viva Movil will also have special retail stores designed specifically for Latino customers. Stores will feature an entirely bilingual staff and will offer play areas for children who accompany parents to the store.
The first store will open on June 15 in “a busy New York intersection." The specific location wasn’t named, but Lopez drew a square in the air — so Times Square is probably a good bet.
Stores are also expected to roll out in other big cities, such as Miami and Los Angeles, later this year.
You know what I learned from this? J-Lo don't know how to spell. It's MOBILE lady!

Folks who are getting the Galaxy Note 3 on Sprint who aren't being scared off by the FUD being spread in the triband thread, here's our own discussion topic!
Now that Sprint has officially announced the Galaxy Note 3 launch on October 4, let us discuss! It's kind of strange they haven't set up pre-orders yet. This leads me to believe they probably won't. With a little over a week left until the launch, it appears that those who order online won't be able to get it until October 7th/8th. Also heard rumors that Sprint won't have the pink option or 64GB version available. It sucks but oh well. At least 32GB is the base model this year!
What color are you getting?
Are you getting the Galaxy Gear smartwatch too?
Accessories?
-I'll be getting black, since white has LED light bleed.
-No Galaxy Gear
-I have two bumper cases (clear and white/black) and a crappy S-style tpu kickstand case with a few screen protectors. I'm not sure If I will get the flip cover yet.
Are you guys excited? I sure am!

I bought my SGII Epic 4G Touch through them back in 2011. I bought it for the same price as directly from Sprint while convincing them to give me a discount equal to the activation fee (~$36) - essentially to "waive" it. I also accumulated some best buy reward zone points
Best Buy is a fine option when purchasing on contract if you can find a deal. I'd probably look elsewhere for off-contract and full-retail purchases, though.

I have been doing a time analysis of how (email, calendar, social media, video's & gaming, music) and where (location) I use my phone the most etc..
I have come to the conclusion that the places where I happen to use my phone the most and during its most intense use of bandwidth also happens to be the places in which I have access to great wifi signal. I know this isn't how most folks use their phones but its really how I use my phone and when I don't usually have a great signal. I just pop out my mifi and I am having a great signal once again. Is it irritating that Sprint dropped the triband? Yup and Yup. Is it a deal breaker for me to go to a slower and smaller phone? Nope and Nope..
The things that I am more interested in hearing about is
What Dac are they using for the audio processor?
Can I use usb 3 as a digital for my audio amp?
What will the transfer speed be on my USB3 HD which is running a 500gb SSD
Battery life
Has anyone been able to use a 128GB sd card in the unit, and have it recognize all 128GB?
What screen protector works best in direct sunlight.

just so you know. I havn't had a problem with best buy increasing price for products but if that is the case, they price match with the carriers. they also give you the lower price for pre-orders. for example if you order an item and its fairly certain it will retail for say $50 and then release rolls up and it is $60 they will sell it to you for the $50. you may just have to mention it to the employee checking you out but the managers know whats up.
Can't link to BB price match due to new user =) but google "Best buy price match" and it will be the first link
I have had to mention the PM once and the employee just had to get the manager to sign off on it which he had absolutely no prob doing. took maybe 2 min after I had mentioned it. then the lady behind me did the same thing because she was there for the same product for her son I would assume. I'm not sure how advertising for the G2 is in the rest of the world, but I just flew into Jakarta yesterday and they had about 4 tall, thin billboards advertising LG and the G2! Much further down the road was a single Samsung billboard for the Note 3. I'd have to say that the impact wasn't as strong, maybe from non-repetition?
Beyond that, I have heard some great deals such as getting a $100 voucher and free Bluetooth headset. The bonus is that it seems to be cheaper than what prices I have seen for the US.

Wow you're trotting Asia now eh? haha. Oh btw, Indonesians prefers Blackberrys and iPhones. Samsung is the minor.
Here in Singapore, everybody wnats the best. Lol. You can see the queues here upon launch of a new new device. Lol.
I get my G2 when they first launch in Jakarta, not the pre order. They offering cashback from voucher advertised in newspaper for IDR 500.000. Free bluetooth HBS 730, shopping voucher IDR 1.000.000, Line,s Doll and free data for 6 month. If paid with credit card from famous local bank for 12month installament, you get free 1 month.
Pricelist IDR 6.799.000, I pay 5.799.000 + bonuses.
Today they still doing marketing roadshow, give same bonuses but no cashback.
Sorry info using IDR currency, you can convert it in to yours.
Btw, they launched on 28 sep 2013.
And now have after sale marketing promotuin, G2 owner can give the testimonial to their website and will get G2 Flip Case, power bank, USB OTG and shopping voucher.
So..Wish me luck.

@m0ngstr0us - I live in Asia at the moment. Indonesians do prefer Blackberry's, but I've been watching the slow switch to iPhones and Androids. A majority still use Blackberry for work, but it seems like I meet a lot of people that are using iPhone or Android as their primary now.
@gaindauz - Kamu punya link untuk setelah iklan promosi? Can you provide the link for the after sale marketing promotion?
Hot damn look at all the stuff they bundle in Jakarta! I got mine from America and they didn't throw in nothing and I had to fight like hell to get them to price match Costco. In fact, I had to fight them to even get them to sell it to me because they said they had none in stock when their computer said they had 5 but there were none in the case. Even though I told them I stopped in the day before launch and the clerk showed them to me... They insisted there was a mistake and they had none so I left until the afternoon and they miraculously had them when I returned.
I get invited to live in Sweden, Australia and Canada by friends all the time and it's about time I took them up on that. This country needs an enema.

Thanks! There is also a competition from the LG Global site here.
@xyltha - Agreed. I think the US is too saturated for them to market like some companies do here. I have not heard of Samsung doing this, but they are the number one choice here for Android, so LG is trying to get a foothold. When I lived in CA, I always purchased second-hand phones just so that I could get a deal.
Anyways, check the link if you want to enter the Global competition.

I never said they were. If you re-read my post, I said cell phone manufacturers, not android phone manufacturers. My point was they are 3rd overall out of all cell phone manufacturers. My second point was their small amount of market share doesn't come close to samsung even after adding in dumb phones and windows phones. In the grand scheme of things, while they may be 3rd overall or 2nd behind Samsung for androids, they still have a long way to go to really become a true competitor.
I'm glad that marketing is still going strong. My last phone, the LG Nitro, never had any commercials or any sort of advertising. The dev community reflected that. I'm glad to see this device getting a good amount of dev support.

@TNT321BOOM - That sucks. I was never really into phones until the S3. I decided to see what all the rage was about and got lucky that the one I chose had a huge dev community. LG is doing better, so I expect them to start enticing more devs to come.
Seen quite a bit of advertising for the G2. Pleasantly surprised. This phone deserves to be considered by most people. It's a very solid device.
