[Q] how to root xperia sola (android version2.3.7)

Can any body help me to root my xperia sola having android version 2.3.7????
Rooting gb requires unlocked bootloader ( havent seen sola gb rooting topic yet
I suggest u to upgrade to ics n root
Since rooting will let u manipulate the device by urself so there is no point in staying at gb

Rooting ics is much easier than gb.Just a number of clicks and you are done.

Root without unlocking bootloader for ICS

Hi guys, I have Xperia sola upgraded to ICS...I would to gain root permissions, but my smartphone is in warranty. I read somewhere that is possible to gain root permission on Xperia sola with ICS without unlocking the boot loader (unlocking the bootloader I would lose my warranty, right?) so I would root permission without lose my warranty. I found a procedure that explain how to do this (but for the Xperia U), the procedure is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1925084
Can you tell me if this procedure unlock the bootloader or not?and you know if it works with Xperia sola ICS?
thanks and sorry for my english
Use Bin4ry method to root.. It works in all 2012 Xperia devices...

1) The disadvantages are that you will loose bravia engine and you will void your warranty. The only reason you should unlock your bootloader is for installing custom kernels.
You can relock your bootloader via flashtool. This way you will have your warrranty back but you will not get back bravia engine as far as i know because you will loose DRM keys.
2) The rom you are using if for all bootloaders. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to boot system
3) You can unlock your bootloader even if you are on a custom rom but i suggest you to take a backup and install the stock firmware.
4) My opinion is that if you don't want to install custom kernels, cm10 or cm9.1, just leave the device as it is now mate.
5) Don't mess with things that you don't know because you may regret. Unlock bootloader only if you want to install the custom kernel or cm9.1 or cm10.
6) Here you will find a tutorial on how to unlock your bootloader: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
Should work on xperia go also.
Didn't make a separate thread as I got the same doubts.
I am using Xperia sola , rooted with stock ICS.
I want to eventually use a stable JB ROM.
I am not worried about losing warranty.
I want to know about the DRM keys.
Is there a way to backup or save "DRM keys"?
And then restore them when I want to relock bootloader?
