So I'm not sure with the technicalities with this, but with the new Google edition being released in June (http://www.androidcentral.com/htc-one-google-edition-official), does this directly mean that AOSP support and troubleshooting for the Sense version phone will be greater/more improved/easier?
Not saying that it isn't good now, just wanted to get an experts (or more knowledgeable) take on how this could effect AOSP development for the original HTC One. Thanks guys!
The kernal source they will release could help out aosp development, absolutely.

Do you have sources for it?
I also love. I will put a link to their forum this evening if anyone wants more information. Personally my English is much too brief to learn more before I go, I spend an awful lot of time trying to understand everything here.
MIUI on Hero would be nice!
At HTC Desire,Nexus One forum etc,I saw ported MIUI ROMs!
I have asked incdoes for the sources, is there a dev that could build something from them?
Hm,it`s a unique ROM,made by Chinese/Japanese community,or I´m
wrong
http://miui.com/
would love miui, too. looks and sounds really great
I think someone i the CDMA hero forum have the source for MIUI i hope some good rom cooker makes this possible
I would love to see this on my hero, I hope that devs once cm6 will be final will look into it
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App
The Rom has been translated in English, French and Italian and even Cyanogen said he would love to work with Omomo and the Miui Team.

I know it's based from AOSP but many people suspects it's got some gingerbread stolen codes in it. It has not been fully open sourced yet but Rodigezstyle said he read it in a Miui Online Report. Some parts have been open sourced, like the FM, and shared with the CM team (CM now have radio for Nexus)
There is no Hero version. But more important i don't know which kernel is needed, if it needs a .34 kernel then back to this thread :

Just did a quick google, and come to find out it's zenulator's rom and he's wanting everyone porting the rom to different androids to put source link and credit on their threads.
Here's the link to his code:
http://code.google.com/p/zen-droid/downloads/list
And here's the link to the post he put up about credit (and a badass vid of the ui!)
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/zenulator/84360-rom-zen-miui-v2-android-2-2-miui.html
And here's the official link *hint* use google chrome to view, so you can just hit translate to read it!!
http://www.miui.com/index.php
also.. read some of the forum. Damn those folks hatin' on us westerners/english folk (on translation anyways)
Dunno if that can be ported yet because 2.2 JUST became stable for our hero, however I can't say it's at all impossible because he has the source posted. I would be interested in seeing this myself.

First off, I am extremely sorry if this question has been asked before regarding the Thunderbolt. I searched these forums for a good hour and couldn't find anything related to the subject.
I was just curious now that HTC has released the source kernal, are there any developers out there planning on porting stock, vanilla Froyo or Gingerbread to the Thunderbolt? If so, let us know in this thread!
Maybe we can make this a hub for all related Vanilla Android TBolt activity.
Thanks in advance.

CM is working on a 2.3 rom and their roms are pretty stock android
I don't think I've heard of any pure vanilla AOSP ROMs but, for example, CM7 based on Gingerbread. No sense mess. I figure that's what you're after.
EDIT:ckochinsky125 beat me by a minute....

One can only hope....However, mine are not that high....
Personally I would be extremely gratefull for anything up to date that does not have the Carrier IQ rootkit engeneered into the underpinnings.
I cannot put to words how dissapointed I am with HTC for enabling AT&T to stuff this spyware in the FroYo 2.2.2 RUU ROM "update" along with making it more difficult to "Root", then distributing it when AT&T did not have the guts to distribute it themselves. In a move that would seem to be to limit their liability shoult the bovine scatology hit the radial oscilator.
Not to mention, just how secure is this purloined data? I am reminded how easily reporters in Mexico were tracked down within minutes and decapitated in the street by Zeta gangstas for negative reports.
Of course it is just paranoid thinking that they were privy to the reporters gps locators and who called emergency services. Isn't it just paranoid thinking?
Well I have to finally break down and ask for a little help with this patchrom stuff. I have been unable to get anything going no matter what I do and what little there is for guides is on the vague side. It does not matter what phone you have been able to get it to work on as long as you have made it work.
I am on the Htc Evo 3d and wanting to do an ICS patchrom with sense. There was an active dev who did the ics rom till he moved on to jb but he did not use patchrom. What I am looking to do is update the ics version from sense 3.5 to sense 4.1. Now you might wonder why I would even care which sense base was used since this is MIUI but a quick look at my work and you will soon understand. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1819904 This is not your typical MIUI rom but a MIUI rom with Sense running on it also. So the sense base update plays into the fact that I add all the sense goodies back into the rom so that it is a hybrid rom. It has all the joys of the MIUI customization along with most of the Sense goodness.
Well any help anyone is willing to give would be greatly appreciated and if you are also on a Sense rom then I would be more than willing to help you bring this to your phone also. As of this moment the 3vo is the only phone to have this unique rom but I would love to share it with more than just the 3vo users since it is an elderly phone quickly losing users to upgrades.
Thanks
whats up guys, sorry if this has been answered. im looking for a new rom to use on my rezound. i was hoping someone could point me in the direction of something like miui or similar, something completely different than sense, how ever stability is important to me. i am currently running business sense (sense 4), the latest build. the phone is not a dd i just play with it and use it at work for music and such, i do how ever sometimes use it for photos so the camera working is a must!! thank you!!
CyanogenMod 11 in original development is being regularly maintained. Also check out AICP in the standard Android development forum. Personally I keep going back to Tachyon 1.2 even though it is nearing a year in age I get best battery life and no heat...
There is no "best" ROM, only what is best for you. In fact, "best" ROM threads are not allowed on XDA, as it just causes arguments.
You are best off to try several and see what works best for you. I am under the impression that the camera issues are mostly taken care of, so just try some and see what you get. Omni and AICP would be current choices atm, until @IAmTheOneTheyCallNeo finally releases the next Tachyon version.
