I got the AT&T update this morning to fix the HTC Media Link problems, and it downloaded fine, and then rebooted... but since I'm rooted with TWRP installed, I think it got into recovery and didn't know what to do. I rebooted, but I can't find where AT&T downloaded the update file. Does anyone know where the downloaded file is?

Same here, figured the updated was downloaded somewhere on the phone but Im not sure where. I know you cant do OTA with a custom recovery but Im not sure if I can install manually from the phone now, or wait until a custom flash mod comes out.
same problem
I was wanting the location of where it downloaded or a download link to just download again.
Thanks

I got notification of the update, which I wasn't expectimg since I have cwm installed, but I chose not to install it. It downloaded but I don't know where it went. How do I find it?
Thanks!
You should have an icon on your home screen that says "updates". Tap on that and see if you are given the option to install it.
Nope. No update there or anywhere that I can see.
You could try downloading it again. There are some links floating around here.

if you have cwm installed do not load the new uipdate see stickys
clockworkmod won't keep you from being notified of updates or prevent your downloading them. It'll just keep you from being able to install them via the OTA update process.
I have rooted HTC One, I noticed a new software update was released by AT&T, and I wondered if it I updated it, would my root be gone? I tried to update it and after downloading the update, my phone restarted and booted into TWRP recovery and I rebooted and there was no update installed. Are any rooted HTC One users experiencing the same problem? What should I do, should i just forget about the OTA updates?

Anytime you root the phone it changes the stock recovery so when the OTA tries to run it fails because the recovery needed to do it is the stock one. Just wait for someone to post a updated ota that works with twrp.
For the most part, updates will be baked into roms so you won't need to take the OTA

On top of stock recovery, you need to have all stock apps present on the phone. They can be frozen, but they must be there. The first thing any official OTA does it check the signatures of all .apks it expects to find on the device--if any are missing, the update will abort. I learned today that when you unlock your bootloader, several HTC-specific applications are automatically deleted from the phone and this will prevent the phone from accepting the OTA. You'll need to either A) replace those apks, or B) flash a stock NAND backup, flash stock recovery, do the update, then re-flash custom recovery and continue on from there.

I installed it and it worked great. I have a unlocked bootloader but I am not rooted.
AT&T update file name and location?
Same experience. If I knew the location and file downloaded through AT&T Software Update, perhaps I could install it through TWRP. Anyone know? Tried?

Many thanks for all your help.
One question:
I have an HTC One (ATT) - SW Ver 1.26.502.10, bootloader unlocked, rooted, bloatware erased.
If I flash CM 10.1 - does this include the latest OTA update.
Many thanks
Hello everyone, I have been looking for either a ROM or the stock ME7 OTA upgrade for my s4 I have been searching the past couple days and I haven't pin pointed which one I should attempt to flash to my phone. Just like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2376140, but I also found another place that claimed to have the stock update but I have no way to be sure it is what it says it is. Also I have rooted my s4 by flashing and downgrading. So I'm wondering on the link I provided would I be able to perform a flash just by using Odin like I had before, or is there something else that needs to be done.

The Darkslide ROM you linked to can be flashed in a custom recovery just like any other custom ROM. If you take the OTA you will no longer be able to flash custom ROMs. Search the forums for more information. The bounty thread in the general section would be a good place to start.
thanks man, i looked where you said to go and couldn't find it, and i got lazy so i said f it i will just install a recovery and try the rom and if all else fails go ahead and just remove everything and install the orginal OTA upgrade and then root it again just to have my multi window manager back. love that app.
i did the rom update and it works very well so far, everything went off without a hitch and everything is updating and all my apps are being reinstalled ...now just the long process of messing with all those darn settings, thanks again man:good:
So i recently just got my system update settings back after a minor mishap where the apk went missing. So the problem i am having is that when i try to download the 12B update since im still in 11C however the download fails. Have you done ANY modification of the system files (freezing) or did you bump (install TWRP)? If you installed TWRP, you cannot take OTAs and install them. You must be on the stock recovery.

Actually i managed to fix it myself had to go through a long 2 hour factory reset and reflashing using the flash tool just to get the update to work. But thanks for replying :good::fingers-crossed:
Currently rooted and on 5.2.7.3 but having issue with single sign on apps not working as well and NBC.
NBC saying that I need the latest software.
I unblocked the updates and let it do a system update, and rebooted and then it tries to get 5.2.7.4.
So it is updated as much as it can be as far as I know.
I think I can use TWRP to flash 5.2.7.4 and then magisk and still remain rooted if I read that correctly.
I just can't find this OS anywhere.
Can someone please help..??

If you unblocked the updates, the ota updater should download the update (bin) file to the box.
Wait until the update app says that the download is 100% ready, reboot into TWRP and take a look at cache partition for the bin file (with TWRP file manager).
PS: If you flash that update, root is probably gone, maybe you brick the box...
