Its been a week since MD3 is out. Ive been using it since. It has best ram management compared to other JB roms (as mentioned by Deadsol in his review)
I am just curious like many other out there, that why there are no custom roms based on MD3. Does this update has any development issues ?

Presume devs prefer newer build E over build D and 4.2.2 over 4.1.2 .
Build 4.2.2 being the future releases .

Agreed !
But ME3 is still a leaked firmware. So MD3 still rocks

Just saw that the source code for JB has been released and I was wondering if that means we should be seeing some Note optimized versions soon. Any opinions or matters of fact?

ive been reading around, some DEVs have droped development for ICS and started working on JB.
so yeah any day now you will be surprised to come here and see a JB ROM =)
cant wait !
I hope so! ICS seems so boring now that JB is a reality lol. I'm pretty excited too.

While I'm not a a dev, I believe that a JB rom will only be released once the ICS Kernel Source is released. Due to the supposed similarity between ICS and JB, the ICS kernel source will enable building a JB rom for the Note quite simple (I would suppose).
So, expect them around the time the ICS Kernel source is released. When that is released, we will also be getting official CM9 builds.

Sounds about right to me. I would LOVE to get some vanilla JB on my Note!

My hope for JB (and the ICS kernel source) is to get a little better battery life on this otherwise great phone.

Bump
The CyanogenMod team is "actively working" on a CM10 ROM for the I717.
It's in the OP of their CM9 post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28889254.

Yeah I had v1.5 Emily and it was awesome. I'm sure a JB rom by them would be sick.

just wait! It will come when the devs are ready to release it. Enjoy some delicious ICS in the meantime.
I'm sure it will be a better version of some branded JB upgrades, but my concern is how good will the S-Pen be supported?
hi guys. Which one is better ? ICS or JB. I can't select one !
Of course jb
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
But JB is not stable enough ?
the official update will be,ics wasn't also when it first came out
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I'm asking now. I now JB will be more good. But I mean Leaked JB vs ICS ?
even leaked JB is nice.....i dont see anything that would make JB so unstable by your words
what it is that you think is unstable in these leaks. YES the official will be better.....but i dont see the issue with the leaks right now.
None is better. You have to decide for yourself if you prefer mature, less buggy software or brandnew updated features
Jewlly Bean is undoubtedly the best ever Android release to date
I dont seem to see any new leaks even though previously they have been coming thick and fast?
yeah, quite surprising that leaks are stopped for the moment on li8

Why do u need to create a new thread for this there is a special jb discussion thread mate ur thread is gonna close pretty soon........

LI8 is latest, not LI9. I added my 1-star vote to all the others.
Faryaab is now working on his SuperNexus ROM.
i got a s3 software version 4.0.4 know should i upgrade to jellybean 4.1.1 or should i upgrade my software to some thing else sorry for my bad English people i hope i get help
If you are happy with current rom, I don't see why you need to upgrade unless is OTA update from Sammy. Enjoy your phone.

Maybe on April ?
Who knows?
Once if the galaxy s4 is out globally, Samsung keeps an eye on s3. But still, it takes a month or two.

You mean G4&Xperia Z P V3.0? Yeah, it's really cool, I have used it for more than 10 hours...
Indeed, if you're looking to be on the cutting edge in terms of Android Version, you should definitely go for custom ROMs.
Some Stock-base ROMs (like Revo HD or Omega) are already running latest 4.2.1 leaked firmware from Sammy.
AOSP Roms are practically all on 4.2.2 by now, and some of them are extremely stable and fast (running Temasek v83... just out of this world)
If you're all about official OTA upgrades, then I wouldn't be too sure about April, they usually announce firmware upgrades a good month before release. That's what happened for ICS on S2, which is approx. equivalent to 4.2.2 on S3 in terms of product lifecycle.

I think so too
I think that Samsung will release 4.2.2 for Galaxy S3 only when Galaxy S4 will sell a lot. For now,I think that first we get 4.2.1.
why release 4.2.2 when they can release 5.0?
I think that Glebun just burned my head... lol. But I must say that I am totally agree with him.
uhm, what?
i think in a couple of months "if" we get it at all
