For the new CM10.1 Nightlies for the Samsung Galaxy S4 VZW, invisiblek mentions to use a compatible recovery. Can someone confirm TWRP 2.5.0.2 is compatible? I've previously only used CWM on a GNex with CM and am new to TWRP.
Compatible. I used TWRP 2.5.0.2 to factory reset and flash cyanogenmod and gapps.

My device was run CWM 6.0.3.6
How could I do to upgrade onto 6.0.4.3? No official thread I found about it.
I use from this thread

It's not work (may be because it officially to Galaxy S III)
Because I can't install Omni ROM Kitkat with older CWM. :crying:
Hopefully someone can help me. I am very new to flashing custom roms. My device is a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8010). I have managed to flash it with cm-10.2-20140323-NIGHTLY-n8000 has Clockworkmod Recovery 6.0.4.6 complained that my device is a GT-N8000. The fact is that the factory rom reports the device has a GT-8010 so this has me confused. Also I seem to have no memory left on my device. So I am considering flashing cm-11 UNOFFICIAL but Clockworkmod 6.0.4.6 won't flash it and comes up with an error. From what I have read I need to have a recovery that supports Andriod KitKat 4.4. So hopefully someone can educate me on:-
Does the Clockwordmod Recovery set the device type? ie GT-N8010
Is there a Clockworkmod Recovery that supports CyanogenMod CM-11 UNOFFICIAL?
Is there a step by step guide that I can use that does not require odin or the like to install CyanogenMod CM-11 UNOFFICIAL?
Thanks In Advance
I am using OMNI ROM 4.4.4 KITKAT on my Galaxy S2 GT-I9100. I want to install ICS ROM CM9. I have TWRP 2.7.1.0. Is it ok to flash CM9 using this TWRP version or should I install CWM. Please guide me how to use TWRP to install this ICS version. I have read ICS versions require different Recovery Modes due to different Bootloader. Is TWRP/CWM back compatible i.e does the latest TWRP/CWM capable enough to install all previous versions of ROMs. Also guide me how to use TWRP as I am comfortable with CWM.
Hello.
I'm currently using the PhilZ Touch recovery on my I9300, unfortunately I'm experiencing some random problems, so I would like to flash a new recovery. Can somebody recommend me a good, supported custom recovery for Galaxy S3? I use Android 5.1 ROMs if it changes anything.
Thank you.
TWRP (latest ver.)
I agree:thumbup:
TWRP from Google Store. And I can recommend you the Resurrection Rom latest build 5.5.4 with 5.1 gapps!
I stick since months with RR

I don't know if these threads are allowed (since ROM discussion isn't) but TWRP is love <3
CWM or TWRP. CWM is not supported anymore. TWRP is easy to use and in my opinion stable. I use it too. Don't want something other.
1 annotation: there's no developer atm, so we've to use the last official 2.8.6.1 or @Naveed Abbas' builds, fe from here.
But it's for sure the most recommendable recovery.
TWRP works very good!
I recently came into possession of a verizon galaxy s4 with mdk bootloader, cyanogenmod version 11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-jflte
