Well, I'm trying to unlock the bootloader in the official way, but I have to install packages in SDK, but if I choose all, there's a bunch of GB I have to download (I have a slow connection), so what I can check and what not?
Here's a screenshot:

By the way, I have stock ICS .54 ROM and I'm trying to flash a custom kernel for install the experience ROM.
Thanks in advance.

Just Follow this link: http://androidlegend.com/how-to-unlock-bootloader-of-sony-xperia-u-st25i/
There's no other way.
It took just 5 mins for me to download the package and unlock the bootloader.

First download latest Flashtool 0.9.8.0. and install it.
Download SEUS and flash STOCK rom with it (or via Flashtool). That will install and Stock kernel. After that, root your phone again via Flashtool( new one). Than choose kernel to flash, and rom...

You are choosing what to do. No need to unlock bootloader again if you unlocked once. But you must root your phone again after install fresh Stock Rom. I always, when get some unexplained error, flash Stock rom with SEUS and after that I root with Flashtool (latest version), and later install custom kernel or rom I want.
I am on FXP CM7 and I flashed amin kernel.
Now that my USB is not working how can I flash other kernel or get my USB working again?
If I flash back the official ICS/GB tft, will UNLOCKED bootloader be LOCKED again?
Please tell
THanks
No.
First of all its not a tft but a ftf file and if no your bootloader will not be locked again by simply flashing the ftf file.....

Dont worry bro. Search for relocking the bootloader post here and follow the steps. It will not be sorted by flashing generic ftf. Needs a little extra stuff. Not allowed to post link else wud have posted it here.

Works like a charm. If you have used experience rom then its basically the same thing. Main difference seems to be the faster load time for apps and few cosmetic tweaks here and there. The extra stuff is as posted online...like stamina mode etc. I have managed to root it by flashing ics thp kernel method. Its all smooth sailing for me now. Led works as it should finally and i hear ppl report camera fixed etc.
Its definitely worth flashing if u don't wanna wait for OTA update.
...and here is why

Just use flashtool to root your phone and install xrecovery, it's a matter of pressing two buttons in flashtool and follow the instructions.
I had tried several times but recovery didnt intall
whenever push back button, it would stop at SE boot logo
So i ask ftf file..

In that picture you posted it says you have to install xrecovery to install that firmware, lol
And by the way, it's an outdated version with probably the wrong baseband to isntall other roms succesfully.
What steps did you take to install xrecovery? Flashtool is not known to fail in that department.

If you can't get into fastboot, try going into download mode and try flashing stock ics with flashtool.
Well had the same problem...was able to fix it by deleting and reinstalling google adb drivers from SDK

The screenshot clearly shows the fastboot drivers are not installed for the device. Reinstall drivers. They might be in flashtool/drivers directory.
