Here you go:

I'm looking at returning my phone to exchange it for a different one. I have already rooted and unlocked the phone. I saw mentioned that using the S-Off method, it was possible to put the phone back in a unmodded state. Is there any directions on how to do that? Did see anything looking through the forum.

Shouldn't this be in Q&A, not Development?

Guess that depends on how you see the categories defined. Since this is concerning low level work on the device and other topics about s-off are present in here, this appeared to be the place to ask, as it has been with other forums for the other devices I have used on here.

The Android development section is only for devs to post Roms and mods specific to their device, and for users to comment and thank those devs. Q&A is for all questions, whether or not they have to do with "low level work"

I would define this as a post that doesn't belong in Development. OP...please post in the correct sections. Questions are for the Q&A section.

Sorry no one answered your question and just posted about where you posted but here you go.
Download this filehttp://www.filefactory.com/f/b6eb73c80cc97030/ and make sure you have adb debugging on and start the file. I am not sure if it relocks the device bootloader though. Do not unplug it until it is done. Here is a decent looking video walk through of it. WATCH IT FIRST at least http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wYVB9mq8Ws
You have to relock the bootloader, then run the ruu. Did you unlock via HTCdev or LazyPanda? If you did it via HTCdev your bootloader will say RELOCKED but everything else will be stock....

I used HTCdev but if I relock and then use LazyPanda would that remove the RELOCKED when restoring?

I'm not sure but as of now the LazyPanda project has been suspended until they work out all the kinks. You could try when they get it back up and running but either way if your trying to get it back to stock to return it, relocking the bootloader and running the stock ruu should be enough.

I am trying to do the same thing (relock and go back to stock) so I can exchange the phone. I am on flex360's Stock plus Goodies v1.5 and when I relocked the bootloader, the phone got stuck on the bootloader screen (showed relocked) and wouldn't reboot. I had to unlock via adb to get the phone to reboot. Any idea why it got stuck on bootloader after the relock? Do you think I need to be on a stock rom to relock, and if so, how can I flash the stock rom? Like a bonehead, in my excitement to get a custom rom installed I forgot to create a backup.
I am rooted with locked bootloader. Can I flash a custom recovery? I can't unlock bootloader because I took the ota.

Hello, I'm running the stock rom right now and I use to be rooted. I did the OTA update without reading up on it and lost my root. I'm trying to get a custom recovery so i can get the jellybeans rom. but everything i try to root it fails.. I've tried the casual and exynos abuse way and both fail. Is there something im doing wrong or im missing? Thanks and good day.
Yep you need to read a little. In original development there is s method to unlock your boot loader which must be done to flash a ROM.

Check the root and unlock guide stickied in general section. And yes FreeGee app will unlock bootloader, but unless something has changed phone must be rooted first. Look for CurrentRoot.bat for 20j.

I've rooted the phone months ago when it first came out using the root sticky guide. After getting the OTA JB update her root stayed. Am I safe to use the app? Don't want to end up with a brick. I'll post on the freegee thread and see. Thanks!

You are safe. Just make sure to do the sbl unlock in freegee.
