4G on my Gf's Galaxy s2 stopped working. It shows that it's on but nothing works.
What could be the reason and how do I fix?
Also, I upgraded her phone recently to stock JB and that's my only guess as to why its doing it. Just not sure why it would.

This phone will never hit Verizon Wireless. It does not have a CDMA radio. Only GSM/UMTS/HSPA which Verizon does not support.
Samsung may make a different phone for Verizon, but asking in this forum will not give you any answers.

What I meant to say is nothing should be done to this phone if you don't want to use the search button. This thread is not needed if OP did a simple search.
It cannot be rooted or unlocked without using the search button on these forums and reading the sticky threads that have been made sticky for a reason.

Hey, he waited a whole week to resurrect this thread with his erroneous info. Mad props!
These people are posting all bullcrap. dude i jus rooted + unlocked my sgh i777 couple of days before. Trust me its working perfect and it hardly requires 10 mins to root+unlock it. its a very easy procedure once you have the Odin 1.85 app and a pc and GalaxyS Unlock app by Helroz..you can find it at android market. its really an easy procedure.

Perhaps you should have bothered to read that this is the SGH-I777 forum before flashing, not the SGH-I727 forum? Flashing anything meant for I777 on I727 will kill the bootloaders and hardbrick the device. JTAG time for you - mobiletechvideos.com can probably help you.

You need a jig! google it. like was mentioned before mobiletechvideos might help you.
Next time don't be in a hurry and LOOK at the right forum. Its common sense, chief. You did something in haste and you're wondering why something went wrong!

Hello, my friend had an sgs2 and it will shut off by itself and then just buzz intermittently. He would have to do a battery pull to try to reboot it. This is a stock non rooted phone. Any tips from anyone? Please help. Thanks
