Rom s2 compatible with s2 plus? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I want to know if it is possible to go a s2 ROM to install on Samsung Galaxy S2 PLUS.Are compatible?

Maybe if you flash rom then a compatibility kernel but 1% that it works ... you shouldn't do that in case it failed you could have a brick instead of sgs2

New to s2 and rom manger works??

Hey i am new to the s2 world and i was wandering if rom manager works on s2. Cause rom manager brick my galaxy ace.

Better stick with cwm-manager or the recovery that comes with your kernel. Rom manager`s recovery isn`t fully compatible with the S2 at this point.

From your kernel info you are presently running ICS 4.0.3 firmware UHLPP.
to root your device (the easiest way), visit this thread: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719

Technically no but you can flash CM9 and CM10 via Odin without been rooted. Although, your phone will be rooted after flashing the custom ROM

Dual Boot Resurrection Remix JB and Stock Rom

Hi,
I'm not sure this is the place but i'll go ahead and ask.
I'm running the resurrection remix and would like to use dual boot with stock, I found allot of threads about dual boot but I'm not sure cause I want the stock rom to sync with Kies is it possible? Since I'm replacing the kernel?
Thanx.
Erez.

Yeah. It will work. have a look at those guides, I'm sure you will find them helpful
As I understand I will run the stock with siyah kernel (or it won't recognize the 2nd boot), will it connect to the kies software?

Why are you reluctant to try and see for yourself? All the info you requested has already been provided
I don't see any reason why kies should not see it, although that's dependent on the Rom itself.

You will need to make nandroid backup of RR, flash stock Samsung fimware, flash Siyah, clone 1st ROM to 2nd, flash RR as 1st and restore data of RR.

hey,
FYI i have read both of them and a few more which all say the same more or less,
Did not find anything about flashing 2nd boot as stock, i agree that one should search and try finding the answer alone.
But sometimes ppl ask after trying to find it alone, and instead of educating me if u know the answer why won't you just write it?
some ppl like being spoonfed...
thanx anyway i now on the right way!
Erez.
Success! Running the resurrection remix as primary boot and stock as secondary! All that for restoring some things from kies!
Thanks for the help you all!

Don't ask for rom recommendation, it's against xda rules.
Try them for yourself instead.
Search and read for links.
