[REQ][UI][GB/ICS/JB] Xperia Pro Stock UI - Xperia Arc Themes and Apps

Hi guys!
I need stock ui's (frameworks) mod of Xperia Pro. These ui's can be GB, ICS or JB. I want these ui's for the Keyboard letter case visibles. All custom roms ui's don't have case view, only stock roms ui's have this.
I can't make own ui. If you can not give me these ui's flashable zip file, show me how to export ui from stock firmwares....
Sorry for my English.

It's under /system/apps/SystemUI.apk

Not working any custom rom.

Grab SystemUI.apk from /system/app... That is your System UI.

I tried this, and not worked in Gin2JellyBean Rom. Maybe other files needed?
Edit: I took stock GB's SystemUI.apk file.

SystemUI.apk is just the status bar not the whole OS UI
framework-res.apk holds the thing you want

Oops... Looks like I read the thread wrongly.
Framework-res.apk can be found in /system/framework

Thanks guys! I will try it.

I tried with as:
First, copied framework-res.apk from official Xperia Pro's ICS firmware to my desktop.
Than I downloaded this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147958, and opened zip with 7-zip and replaced rom's framework-res.apk file with stock file.
After than, flashed modified rom's zip, everything completed successfully.
After flashing, I rebooted my phone. After reboot, the animated boot logo not gone for 10 minitues. So my phone not booted successfully.
The result is fail

It will not work because you are trying to use ICS framework on JB :silly:
The two are not compatible with one another.

[Q] UOT Kitchen & CM7

I'm trying to change the status/top bar of a CM7 theme using UOT Kitchen. The first time I ever attempted this was last night. Followed the instructions step by step; everything was good. But when I flashed it, nothing changed.
My question is, when uploading files to UOT it says for GB Rom's upload the framework and system apk. For CM7 Roms just upload the theme apk i.e. Cyanbread. Seeing how CM7 is GB thats where I'm confused. Should I upload just the theme apk or the framework and system apks? Or should I upload them all?

I read somewhere else that UOT might not be updated yet for 2.3.5 Gingerbread like the latest AOSP roms are running.

I only theme out my framework-res.apk and my SystemUI.apk. The SystemUI.apk is the stock look that you get on Gingerbread without any modifications. If you unzip if with 7zip you'll see what I mean. I've never flashed it into a live/booted rom. I modify my files pngs mostly and let the kitchen do the hard work (the files I still don't understand), then replace the SystemUI.apk and the framework-res.apk into the CMupdate.zip file. There is probably a more preferable way to do it, but I don't switch themes a lot (and the theme chooser doesn't theme everything I need anyway)
I know this way will work as I've gotten my edits into these today/yesterday

Transfer of Custom rom themes

I would like to transfer the theme from one rom to another. I will be transferring Scott's Developer edition theme from his Cleanrom Developer edition to a stock deodex'd rom. Is there any way to do this? I have little experience with themeing roms but I can follow directions pretty good.
isn't cleanrom pretty much a stock rom?

it can be as simple as pushing the specific apps into your phone but it isnt most of the time...
devs make loads of modifications and such so usually isnt as simple
but id suggest you check out tutorials about themeing and the intro to themeing thread

call me crazy but I *think* the blue theme from the dev edition is actually a skin defaulted by the ROM, called blu bugaloo or something? see if there's an apk in /system/app for that ROM, put it into the same place for the ROM you want, it should just show up in your skin options, apply it? you could also ask scott, he's a good dev and quite helpful

Yes that theme file is part of it but I dont think it changes everything. I have asked Scott and he has been helping me quite a bit, but I don't want to bug him either . He told me to ask on his forum too but I already had this topic open...

the skin is basically fusion.apk, to get any other themed items from a ROM, you could pull out these and use them in your new ROM:
/system/app/SystemUI.apk
/system/app/Rosie.apk
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
/system/framework/htc.resources.apk
/system/app/dialer.apk (only if the dialer is themed)
/system/app/phone.apk (same ^^^)

This has worked for everything but the GPS icon. The icon is still stock and visible even when disabled. Scott's rom has replaced the GPS icon and made it invisible when GPS was turned off. Any ideas?
you can replace the gps on icon with one that has been made transparent, but without being able to use pc at the moment cant tell you where its at. i think in either systemui or framework-res

I tried copying the systemui from Scott's rom to the stock rom and flashing it, but it doesn't make a difference. I verified that the same images from Scott's rom are in the rom I just flashed, as I can view them with root explorer. It still shows stock though.
The three custom image files for the gps icon in scotts rom are:
stat_sys_gps_acquiring
stat_sys_gps_acquiring1
stat_sys_gps_acquiring2
However, the rom is ignoring these files and instead using:
sym_gpsone_0_sprint
sym_gpsone_3_sprint
sym_gpsone_0_vzw
These three files are the stock white sense crosshair icons.
This is a view of the files from SystemUI.apk res\drawable-hdpi
The three blue icons are the ones I want to use.
That was small, here is a bigger version:

if you have 7zip you can open the apk with the images you want, copy them to your desktop, rename them to the name the new rom uses, then paste or drag them into the new apk (opened with 7zip), by the way, I think/hope you're off one png name, no way is a sprint rom using a vzw png lol
I was wrong, it is only using two files:
sym_gpsone_0_sprint
sym_gpsone_3_sprint
One is GPS active and one is GPS off.
I dont think renaming it is the issue. I have tried copying the entire systemUI.apk folder from Scott's rom over to the stock rom, and it still does the same thing. The default icons are also present in Scott's rom, just not used.
My next question is, what file (XML file?) references these files?

-trust me, pull the 3 images you want out of his sysUI using 7zip
-rename from stat_blah_acquire_0
to sym_sprint_gps_blah_0
-repeat steps for other pngs
-open up new rom sysui with 7zip
-paste in renamed pngs
-push modded apk to phone or flash it

[MOD][ARC] Framework-res.apk MOD (re-compiled with JB animation framework files)

Hi all,
this is my first thread in this forum. So I'm really sorry if this not giving you any useful thing
So I went to this thread recently: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29899481 started by ZN6, and found that the jellybean animation is interesting.
I tried to compile his files to a working framework-res.apk so the animation will work in our device.
After using the new framework-res.apk, the animation almost have no lag or stutter, especially in homescreen.. this is really different from stock, just amazing in my opinion. Suitable for people who wants some refreshments to the UI smoothness without flashing the entire ROM
I've attahced the CWM flashable zip below. Please give it a try and feedback, this MOD is tested on my ARC, KTG kernel, and KA21 ROM. I think this framework will works in any stock based deodexed ROM
CREDITS TO ZN6 for the SOURCE FILES. PLEASE GIVE THANKS TO HIM
**DO A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING**
**I will not take any responsibilities for any bootloops **
I'm downloading it.
Might try.
I flashed it... but.. i'm not seeing any differences.
I'm using Xperia Ice Bean rom.

You framework folder needs to be entirely deodexed or odexed. It can't have some files odexed and other not, like Apps folder. the phone won't boot. Krabappel words And if that is from the SSPeed ROM, the system is really unstable, so the phone won't stay up too much... I could try, but I would need to have the entire framework folder so i could test on my phone.
Hope his files are from the 1.58 fw. Don't know if there is any incompatibility with an older ICS fw.

Oh god... I found both tutorials once (Re-odex and add reboot to power menu) but now I can't find any of them
Could you share your entire Framework folder, I want to see if it could work on my 1.58 fw... I'm not sure, but, still. Maybe with it fully deodexed I can try, and it will make it easier. I also could do the 30 volume step mod
I think Sony should create a "Expert Mode" on their JB firmware, where experienced users could activate some nice features, such as enable Reboot in power menu.

So I was tinkering around on the KA12 SSpeed rom and created the reboot button for the power menu. So I'm not entirely sure if it will work on the stock rom since it's not deodexed.
But attached is the modified android.policy.jar. I had reused an existing icon as I couldn't recompile framework-res.apk.

Do you have an android.policy.odex file there as well? If so, that means you can't use this, since it was created on a deodexed rom.
But, like I said, I have it working krab's KA rom so I can't really tell if it will work anywhere else.

For a quick fix while you wait...try the quick reboot app from the market - tiny little app, reboot, reboot into recovery etc - works well :good:
Do you know how many times you could have just turned your fone off and on normally by the time you've done all this?

Use notification toggle from market to add toggles and reboot from notification bar, its free and customizable
Hit thanks if it helps

You can install any keyboard you like Just install the apk or copy over the apk & needed libs to your phone (app in /system/app and libs in the corresponding directory ) and set permissions 644 to get it working
Searching here would give you access to many different ones Reply here if you are looking for one in particular
