[Q] Flashing / Downgrade / Upgrade - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I want to ask about upgrade or downgrade os or we know is flashing. I do flashing with odin for device Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P7500) with default os is ICS 4.0.4, I do this because my project requirement is testing application which run in os HoneyComb to JellyBean and I flash to HoneyComb 3.1, and my problem after I flashing again to ICS 4.0.4 with odin, I can't update firmware in setting and via kies, it's show message Your device's current firmware version is no supported to update firmware. Can tell to me how to solve this problem, thanks before

Hi, dear friend!
Try flashing back to STOCK ROM using the application "Odin"... there are plenty of guides out there on how to do this, but if they didn't help you, tell us and we are always here to help
If you want to test your application on different versions of Android OS without this much difficulty, you can try some of the many android emulators for PC...
GOOD LUCK

Download HC firmware from www.sammobile.com and flash via Odin.

[Q] Unwanted Information stuck on homescreen of SGS2 GT-I9100

Dear All,
My SGS2 GT-I9100 cannot be upgraded using Kies, it says firmware upgrade for this device is not supported. Currently my S2 is on Gingerbread. I manually updated to 4.0.4 using Odin but strangly there is this unwanted information stucked to the homescreen regarding my CSC and everything. Another user on this website also had the same problem and he posted a picture as well. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1876539)
I have done everything, flashed many different countries versions of android 4.0.4, cleared every memory, fixed the "/efs/imei/keystr" but in vain. The information is stucked there. However, when I flashed 4.0.3, the unwanted information was gone. Can anyone tell me why I can't use Kies to upgrade my phone or why is this information there? Any help with this guys?
Thanks
Yasir

YB-GB70/CW/XEG aka Samsung Galaxy S Wifi 5.0 DAB+

Hi guys,
I bought this device from a German online-shop. It's still on stock 2.3.6. Afaik this device is not rootable with superoneclick. I'd love to root it or flash a 4.+-rom, but do not know what roms and/or kernals are compatible. I do not even know if you consider this as a international or Korean device. It's 8GB and does have a physical home button. I use the DAB+-radio quite often and would absolutely not like to lose this option when flashing. Can anyone enlighten me on the options and pro/cons? Thanks in advance!

Go to the first link, follow the instructions there and if all goes well, you'll have a rooted Galaxy Player. Once done, you have to flash cm9 in your Galaxy player before upgrading to 4.3. Click the link, go to page 8, there's a step by step instruction that the ROM Dev wrote for someone who wants to go from 2.3.6 to 4++. And I'm not sure what's a DAB+ radio is but when I flash a custom ROM, the default radio is missing afterwards. Hope that helps.

Superoneclick does not work with firmwareversion 2.3.6. Losing digital radio is the main reason not to flash a firmware that doesn't support this. Is flashing a (rooted) kernal affecting usability?

looking on wikipedia that phone came with ice cream sandwhich 4.0.4 so if it never came with gingerbread you wont be able to put it on there as the firmware doesnt exist - also you want to run at least android 4+ for most modern apps to work - so you really want the latest firmware you can get
all offical firmware for that phone can be found
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ - type in the search box GT-S7560 where is says search device here (not the search box at top of page)

Flashing the original firmware via Odin does not factory reset the phone (unless specifically stated in the thread containing the files). It just overwrites the bootloader (depending on the firmware and phone), recovery, system, modem, etc.

Hi
How to re install my S2 with Jelly bean . Planning to install Kitkat in my S2 can you help with any good Download and install links. Its good to install ??? please suggest Thank you .. I will check your website
I'm confused on your goal. You want to install Jelly Bean or Kit Kat? There was no official Kit Kat for your phone, so it will have to be something custom like CyanogenMod, SlimKat, etc.
The latest official firmware for your phone would be here: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9100 - Just make sure to get the one for your region.

or any other custom or stock rom.
after all, i need to rooting the device to be more flexible
can anyone give me some help ??? rookie here...
thanks in advance
The device is already rooted, you just need to download any custom ROM you want, reboot to recovery, and flash your desired ROM from there.

first of all thanks for your answer.
If I understand properly
therefore, I'll have not any problem because of 4.4.4
that is correct ?
Yes, that is correct. The device is already rooted, with custom recovery, which means you can just reboot to recovery, wipe everything, and flash any desired ROM you want.
@@[email protected]........No disrespect intended, but this is "flashing 101" basics stuff........
The fact that you are asking it, tells me that you don't have the experience needed to do this comfortably.....
That's not a problem though.....we all start from the bottom, and learn as we go.....
But that being the case, i'd advise that you don't do anything to your phone until you've read, learnt and completely understood the processes behind the flashing procedure. It's best to understand what you are doing beforehand, rather than trying to figure out what went wrong afterwards.......
