Head-phones use to work fine with HTC Evo 4G LTE - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Hello All...
Before the JB update for the HTC Evo 4G LTE.
My apple headphones use to work just fine with this
incredible phone.
Now after the update it doesn't even recognize it!
How can i get to fix this issue to use my Apple Headphones again?
I already have a pair of bluetooth headphones from Plantronics.
They work fine but sometimes all you want is to plug and play.
Can anyone help me with this issue.
Thanks
Android Version 4.1.1
HTC Sense version 4+

Have you tried plugging your Apple headphones into a different device to make sure they are working as they should? On that note, have you tried plugging in a different set of headphones into your EVO to see if they work?

I've had this issue before with my car aux cable and a replacement was the only fix, but I remember somebody tried this:

Check it out and good luck!

[Q] [DEV REQUEST] Bluetooth stacks

I know the devs here are working feverishly on new roms but I have a small request that I know sounds like I am asking a lot. It appears the bt stack in the 3d is kinda screwy. What I mean is when you connect to bt stereo its static and when trying to connect to the bluetooth of my GM car it doesn't want to stay connected and wont connect right. I am curious if someone can pull the bt stack from a known working like the evo or the mytouch 4g (both htc phones) and try that out. Just a thought and could help a lot. HTC acknowledged there is a problem but blames it first my car (which every other phone works perfectly on) and my bt speakers (which every other phone works fine on). So it doesn't look like their going to fix it.
My phone works great on my stereo headset, and in all the Hyundai cars I work on (for calls and for streaming audio). Dealing with blue tooth complaints on the cars I work on, I will say that one phone model will work when another won't. So it may be compatibility issues between your phone and car.

That's why I need the by stack from a known working phone thrown in heh. By hardware is the same for the most party but software can be different.

Also for WiiMote
I too would like to know if it's possible for someone to bake in a new bt stack because WiiMotes don't work on the 3D and that's a major part of why I wanted the device (MHL + Wiimote = portable entertainment system)

[Q] Issues w/in line mic on headphones

This is a problem I had wit the MoPho (love the nickname). I can't get the inline mic to pick up sound when Im on the phone and get noa response when trying to control music playback with apps like Winamp. I have some Apple Headphones and they did good with my EVO 4g but I get nothing with the MoPho. Tried to get help on Motorola forums but no avail. Anybody have this same problem or solution?

HTC has a similar headset jack as Apple, ditch the HTC and/or Apple headset, as those will not work.
Sorry,
deedscreen
PS - WE ALL LOVE THE NICKNAME, (now that's one bad MoPho!!!)
I solved it with an app.

Did you get the Apple iPhone earphones working with the Photon?? Please tell me what exactly you did! I installed the app but they still don't work I plug it in, and I get sound from the earphones but the mic does not work, nor does the buttons! They worked nicely on my EVO 4G but not with the Photon
That app didnt work for me either. I really would like to stick my phone in my pocket and talk. Im always holding it with headphones in. Disgusting

Bluetooth crashes when trying to connect headphones

I have a pair of Motorola S305 headphones and they absolutely will not connect to either of my Flyers. One is running LeeDroid and the other Cool Honey. The tablets see the headphones but will not connect. When I try to click on the headphones under "Paired Devices" I get "The application Settings has stopped unexpectedly"
I am pretty new to Flyer ROMs so I am not sure if this is common or if there is a known fix. It is a major issue as my fiancee uses these headphones to watch video on her commute.
Any ideas? Thanks

Anyone?
Bumping this up..
LeeDroid 4.3 fixes the BT *audio* issue but not the BT *phone* issue (if you're using it as a phone at all).

Nope, not using it as a phone, just as wireless headphones.
I don't have the tablet in front of me but IIRC one of them IS on LeeDroid 4.3.
Could you get a logcat of the moment settings FC's trying to connect to the BT headset.

Yep will do tonight.
I have S305 headphones too, and I just got my daughter's Flyer back from HTC with stock Honeycomb. I will try to connect my headset and let you know.
No connection problems with stock rooted Honeycomb here. Connected fine, was able to adjust volume, skip tracks, and pause using the headset controls while listening to Google Music.
I have also learned not to mod the Wife's electronic devices... that is why she now has an iPad and iPhone 4s and refuses to let me touch them. She used to have an Evo 4G and called me from work one day because her "customized" phone was in a bootloop and I had to walk her through recovery to flash a stock rooted ROM. She was not happy that day!

What to do with my 3D?

I moved from the state's to Germany and am trying to find a good use for my 3D running Viper Rom since its Sprint CDMA and doesn't work in Europe. I currently have the HTC One X quad core.
I was kind of hoping USB OTG has been hacked to work on it so I could run it as a small pc (monitor mouse and keyboard) or something, but I could not find any info to get that working (searched and searched).
Its not worth me selling since it has a bad esn and only would sell for 100 USD or so. Then minus eBay and paypals fees. Bla bla... Too much work cor not enough pay..
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance!

OTG works fine on the Evo 3D if you use a kernel like ButteredToast that supports it.
You might also look into GrooveIP that uses Google Voice and works pretty well over WiFi and the international calls are pretty inexpensive over GV.
If you really want to use it as a mini PC there is a thread here that discusses how to run Ubuntu Linux on it.
And worse comes to worse, you can download some 3D movies over WiFi and connect it to a 3D TV via an MHL/HDMI adapter.
I plan to keep my Evo 3D's around for a while after I upgrade for these and other reasons, and the development for it is still pretty active for this device.

Ok, I tried the buttered toast kernel. What Rom do I need? Does that link point out everything that's needed?
I was going to try the google voice thing, but I couldn't set up a phone number since now I have no US cell number to confirm a text or something like that. I don't remember exactly because its been a little while since I tried it.
Thanks for your input!

The OP of the OTG thread has most of what you need to get it to work. Make sure you use an OTG adapter that will let you supply power of use an active USB hub since the Evo 3D doesn't provide power to the OTG device(s).
You can get a new US phone number from Google Voice when you sign up and it doesn't have to match your cell phone. GrooveIP will be able to receive calls on that number in addition to making outgoing calls.
Good luck!

Strange headphone jack issue

Hello,
I am having a strange issue with my headphone jack on my HTC One. I normally use Samsung headphones which I received with my galaxy s3. All of a sudden, they stopped functioning with my phone. I tried using them on other phones and they work fine. Also, all other headphones that I have tested on my phone function normally. I tried using an app called soundabout to get the Samsung headphones to work and I was successful. I don't mind buying new headphones, but I want to be sure that there is no underlying problem with my phone. I don't have much knowledge regarding how headphones are detected by different devices so I don't know where to go with my troubleshooting from here. I'd appreciate any insight on this issue.
Thanks
