Post-Root+Flash unique error. - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. I rooted my metro pcs gs3, and had some problems. I now flashed a rooted stock rom and all is well.
Besides for the fact that I can't use the factory reset option. I'm no pro, but it seems the phone doesn't know what to restore from. It resets then freezes on the metropcs screen (after gs3 screen).
Is there any way I can fix this problem?
It doesn't cause errors in normal life, but when I went to reset to flash another rom, this happened.
PS: factory reset from restore mode doesn't work.

Wrong area to post, I know. I can't find a metropcs gs3 forum though.

There is a thread stickied in one of the American s3 forums if I remember as I directed someone to it a while back

Root question

I want to root my amaze 4 G strictly to get rid of bloatware and I want the Google now app. Reading forum after forum and post after post all I see that you lose data service is that going to happen if I just root my Amaze. I'm sure it's a stupid question and somewhere in here it's been answered already but I'm unable to find it.

1. There's a Q&A Section.
And B. You only loose data if you flash a ROM that has data not working.
Thank you, I've been reading that we can't get data because of HTC holding back codes so I'm trying not to screw this thing up

When you root you will lose ally the data you had stored on your phone. If you just want to stay stock rooted you'll be fine with data connection. A few roms are still works in progress (cyanogen mod 9 or MIUI) don't have data working perfectly yet, but that only matters is you flash new roms onto your phone.

[Q] Roms etc. Help

I recently purchased the galaxy s3 and am quite happy with it, put adw launcher pro made a few tweaks got the jellybean update and am satisfied with everything it does.
My question is what is the need for flashing new Roms or rooting the device? What is the purpose and benefits?
I'm new to all of this and would love some briefing!

You would be better off asking here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1708
This forum is for International Galaxy S3 I9300, not I535 Verizon. Anything you do from these forums can brick your device. Good luck and welcome aboard!
I appreciate the reply, I tried re posting this post on that thread but it said the forum is closed. Do not many have the samsung gs3 for Verizon?

S3 doesn't keep settings after a restart

My s3 doesn't keep settings after a restart and basically has never been 100% at it. Eg. Ring tones will revert to default, default application settings get forgotten. Phone has been rooted before but actually isn't right now.
Running 4.1.2
I have done a factory data reset.
Any thoughts?

Really? The s3 q&a and troubleshooting forum is the wrong forum?
Since the phone has been rooted im hesitant to send it back. Its actually also had the screen replaced.
Still hopeful someone has better advice than tell me im posting in the wrong forum. This place used to be friendlier than this im sure.
Just saw the link for the lte specific forum. Will repost there.

Not if you have I9300 yes its wrong if you have I9305 really .
Btw, what forum would be a better place for me troubleshooting question?
The I9305 forum Q&A logically .
You had two bits of advice ignore them both or not .

Thanks for the advice. Already took one of them... other one; not sure how my warranty would hold up with being rooted and a screen replaced... sad face.
Considering a cyanogen or perhaps liquidsmooth rom that I've just seen a bit about.
My concern is that even a new rom doesn't wipe or refresh all the parts where things like default settings might be kept during a restart. So hoping some advice comes through in that regard perhaps.. but not in this forum.

Instead of spending time here, head over to the forum specific for your phone model & carrier.
In general, most samsung phones (including your model) can go back to the stock state using odin.
Do you know how to do this?

You do not need 10 questions to read any existing threads, or (if needed) ask a question in a Q&A forum. Questions do not belong in Development forums which is why the 10 post rule is in place.
