Hi there I'm running my mobile on latest root box version. I face a strange my phone storage automatically gets full. Even if delete some files it actually occupies the deleted space. This thing is not happening with my external card. Is this a virus problem? Please let me know

Are you playing a game called "Wild Blood" (it had a bad habit of making huge save files which ate up a lot of my memory) and have you tried clearing cache, cache files are generated every time you use certain applications, for example Chrome browser may generate more than 100mb of cache data .

My crystal ball says that your applications and games are using it.

You clearly missed the tongue-in-cheek aspect of my comment, so allow me to put this into a clear question for you.
How do you expect any of us to know what is taking up space on your phone?
Try checking out the folder LOST.DIR, also check for backups: ClockWorkMod, TitaniumBackup, also check out the Android/Data/ folder for any left over game data.

You're very welcome. If you search for "Folder Size" in the Play Store, it'll tell you what folders are the biggest, etc.

Look in folder "downloads" you probably will find a lot to delete there

OK so basically I went from gingebread to jellybean by going to ICS in between. Whilst on ICS I noticed that the internal SD card wouldn't mount and in recovery it showed all of the file folders that there should have been but nothing in them. Now I'm on jellybean its the same. Is there any way to get it back to normal without going to stock?

check in file explorers for EMMC that will be your ext sd, if it shows up that way, look for an app on xda called RemountSD that will make your ext sd be shown as ext sd instead of emmc

I just get this.
OK what's happened is that the two files that I put on the external SD card are in download and nothing is in the external SD card file. I just need my internals back.

Update: I can't take a screenshot of notifications but that other screenshot I took, in notifications under the screenshot it says SD card is currently in use and shows a USB symbol although my phone is charging from a wall socket.

Try...from that screen press favourites, hopefully your get this (screenshot)
then press the phone icon and hopefully your get (2nd screenshot)
from there hopefully your find all your stored ext sd files in the emmc folder. If that is the case the i would recommend finding the RemountSD apk on xda, it saves alot of confusion finding your files

from there press the phone icon and you should get my 2nd screenshot appear (root folders etc) the emmc folder should be in there aswell

This is what I get. There was 2 lines more but thy were nothing.

Only thing i can suggest is if its nothing is in your extSD folder in that area then as a long shot, try fi ding and using the RemountSD app, do a search on the xda forum, it should be easy to find, once its installed tell it to remount and hopefully that will solve your problem and everything will be found on ext sd
this is the link to the app, hope that helps

Thanks for the help but the apo didn't do anything because I think the locations are wrong. I'll try reverting back to stock gingerbread or ICS later...

No probs, hopefully someone will be able to help out more, i've not used any JB roms yet, if your looking for something custom but close to ICS the neutrino rom is quite good, comes with the remountsd aswell, i've not had any probs so far over the last month or 2 using it

Try ics sd binder first and see if that helps

Can you access it from recovery, mounts and storage and back them up to a pc. Not practical but at least you might salvage your pics.
Also I used ICS SD binder with no problems, you have to change the file path from emmc to extSdCard though otherwise it won't find it.

Apparently all it needed was a factory reset/wipe data.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Edit I was wrong. Basically I wiped and rebooted into f1 pure gnex rom. Went into camera and behold my 500 pictures were there but all blank. I then rebooted again and they all disappeared.

Transfer any apps you can to the sdcard seems like the obvious move, and I think there's a few apps on the market that will clear the cache for you

Hello there,
I flashed Jellybean firmware using Mobile Odin and the phone works ok, apart from not letting me access App info properly. It shows size, cache, data, as "computing" then closes to home screen. Any help on what the issue could be?
I've cleared data /factory reset the phone. It showed correctly, but when I restore apps using Titanium or uninstall/install apps regularly, it messes up.
Thanks in advance

Update:
Going into recovery and clearing cache partition or dalviche cache didn't fix the issue,
I uninstalled apps using Titanium Backup, then restored them about 10 at a time, only with a few I restored the app data with, rest just the app. It messed up once, I uninstalled a few apps, then reinstalled them again same way
Was working fine after this
However, I downloaded a few apps of Play Store. Same problem started again
And help
I have about 7GB internal memory left on the 16gb model

Also don't know if this is relevant, but when I used to restore Nandroid backups, it always messed up on restoring data.
Boot, system, etc restored ok

I have a problem with system storage memory. I don't know why its full all the time, sometimes I can't install apps because it says insufficient storage. Whenever I uninstall application it gives me more memory but when I update apps it takes away memory.
Does anyone know how to fix or somehow free this system memory storage?
I attached screenshot of the about screen on settings from my phone and screenshot of the storage.
