Can someone help me, I'm bricked to "Security Error".
I have the P769 Tmobile phone and Windows 8 x64. I can't figure out for the life of me how to get any of these tools to one get my phone back in working order and two rooted with boot loader unlocked. I really just wanted to put kitkat on this thing.
Yes I have read the guides...several of them
I can access sw download mode by the way.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hey,
yesterday i was in the same situation - brick phone with "security error".
I found here on xda a solution in thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36351786#post36351786
You will need a stock LG rom and and files described in link. It works
I was recently given an LG Optimus L9 P769BK and decided to try and unlock the bootloader and root it. Most of the guides (such as: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2584997) suggest flashing to V10G_00 first before flashing to the EU V20B_00. I was able to flash to V10G (from V20H that was already on the phone using "LG Flash Tool 2014") but now, no matter what tool I use, I am unable to get ANY ROM to flash to the phone.
Methods/Tools used and the results:
1)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
1a)Result: The software that is launched in Step 10 crashes before doing any updating
2)http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l9/general/p765-unbrick-using-lg-flash-tool-2014-t2950433
2a) Using CDMA + Diag or Emergency: Goes to 10% of SW Update then fails with an error saying to remove the battery and try again. Doing this does not resolve the problem
2b) Using 3GQCT + Diag or Emergency: Can not connect to phone. Reseating the connection and power cycling the phone does not resolve this.
3) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748384
3a)Using the LGP769_20121004_LGFLASHv1350.dll and a bin from V20B_00 it freezes around 570 seconds with a write error. The phone no longer boots outside of SW Update Mode.
The phone will now only boot into SW Update mode.
System:
OS: Windows 8.1 64bit
Drivers: LGUnitedMobileDriver_S52MAN314AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.14.1
Any thoughts on what to do next?
UPDATE: The LG Flash Tool mentioned in 3) no longer sees the phone. After following the steps mentioned in the guide again
UPDATE2: Reinstalled the drivers. Method 1) still crashes, 2) same results, 3) still not "seeing" the phone when connected.
UPDATE3: (using Win 7 machine). Method 2) gives an odd "Can not connect to server error" when tried. Method 3) gives a write error on "Failed to Write OMAP" (ill get the exact line in a minute)
UPDATE4: Ignoring the error (aka NOT clicking the box) from Method 2) allowed the phone to flash with no problem
Only the very first v10a had an unlockable bootloader. And the first couple of v20ies or all of them. I unlocked and rooted with v20c, later versions could have locked Bls.
My phone actually has an encrypted bootloader so no ROM will work
I have no soldering skills so I ordered a 910k cable and will do the unlock with it.
Hi guys !
I'm currently trying to unbrick my F600L in bootloop since I tried to downgrade from 20q update.
I founded out later that the V10 has anti rollback feature but it was too late.
Now i'm looking for a kdz or anything flashable to restore my system...
By the way I always get a " invalid command response" error with LGUP while flashing "system" do someone know how to fix it ?
I tried to reset it with LG Bridge but il always fails because the detected software version is the 20q which is the latest... Is there a way to force the restore or update with LG Bridge ?
I tried recovery error fix too but it doesn't find any error...
software update (korean version) stuck at 21%
I have the same problem here. I tried to get back to LL Firmware F600L20n while my phone was on Firmware F600L20q. I used LGUP but it always got stuck at 21% percent on PC and 13 % on LG V10 F600L. And it also showed error codes 0x2000 invallid command. Please help.

How did you unlock the bootloader?
I was attempting to return my LG v10 to stock and managed to softbrick my phone. I was wondering if there were any step by step guides on how to undue the softbrick. Also, LGUP can see my phone but when I attempt to select it I get "model # unknown". Any help would be appreciated thank you!
managed to follow this guide and it fixed my softboot. GUIDE
Edit: I wanted to link this to the main Optimus L9 Security Error thread but didn't know how, any mod is welcome to do that for me ^_^
Hello XDA!
I recently acquired a LG Optimus L9 MS769 from my sister to use temporarily until I can get a new phone. Before bringing it to me, she tried swapping SIM cards with my mother's to see if that would work (without doing a reset first), which caused it to boot with that infamous Security Error screen. I have tried following just about every thread that I can understand in search of a solution, however I'm sort of stuck due to my limited knowledge in the all-things-android field. Also, I am aware that this sub-forum is for the P76x models, so sorry if I'm asking for help in the wrong spot.
I started with the most obvious suggestion, which was to try using the LG Mobile Support tool with my phone in S/W mode, with hopes of gaining access to perform a hard reset (hopefully that is the correct terminology). Within the driver selection window on the LG Mobile Support tool, there are three separate drivers for the USA MetroPCS model MS769. I tried running to tool with each of them one at a time, with the same result each time. Sometimes my phone would sit in S/W mode and the tool wouldn't detect a connection, so I would try from the beginning again. When I get it right, the support tool detects my phone, but says first that it is fully up to date with version V10F, then once it fully connects the tool tells me "Only wireless upgrades are supported on this phone." I even tried again using a fresh Mobile Support Tool and drivers straight from LG's support website.
Now, there are plenty of guides out there that explain in the most basic ways imaginable for how to flash stock firmware on my device, but all of them that I have read assume I have access to the device in the first place. There were never any alterations done to the ROM so I presume version V10F was the last OTA update MetroPCS sent the Optimus L9. My goal is to have an accessible device that I can hopefully install my own MetroPCS SIM-card in to, converting it into a working phone. So, I don't really mind if you tell me the only way I'm going to unbrick this thing is by loading CWM or CyanogenMod or w/e. I have no preference over a stock ROM or a custom one. As long as it won't re-lock itself when I insert my old SIM I'm in the clear.
Any help, links, comments, or hand-holding through this process will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your time,
Gale
