[Q] Is my phone's Baseband wrong? - HTC Rezound

I recently saw a thread about a new global update and one of the screenshots was this:

Which has a newer Baseband than my phone here:
I'm not sure if it has to do with the ROMs coming with different radios, or my phone is just off? If so, it could really explain some issues I have been having with signal and data. (Currently I only get one or two bars of signal and no data, as where with my old phone I could get 4g at home and always had it in town.)

You have older radios from the update to ICS about a year ago. Roms don't normally contain radio updates, you need to update them by flashing in hboot.

Well everything seems to have went through right, but I haven't noticed any signal differences... Oh well lol.
Edit: I'm going to wipe my caches and see if that helps any.

You wouldnt notice much of a difference switching radios unless you are really out of date. That could be caused by a few different things. Could be the phone itself, it could be the way the rom is reporting signal, it could be different things. Have you tried a different rom to see if it makes any difference?

I have tried Infection, Pacman and Tron, all reporting the same. Just crazy that with my old phone I would have 4g where this is lucky to get data at all.

Back when we first got ICS, many people had reception issues caused by corrupted radio partitions. To fix it, they had to run the ruu, then do a factory reset in hboot, before flashing a custom recovery. It's worth a shot if you are desperate.

Well I have signal enough to send messages, and in town I will get 3g, but i used to get 4g. Once I do the factory reset can I restore from a nandroid? And just to make sure, ruu is what you flash by putting on the root of your SD card and booting into hboot right? Do you have a link for the file I need? Thanks for all the help!

You should be okay to restore after the ruu because a nandroid doesn't affect the radios. I don't have a link, but there are several other threads with links in them.
