True, although by default, the cards are exFAT if formatted in the phone. We really need more info from the OP.
Also, there is a possibility the card is fake (if it is not formatted to FAT32)...
Anyway, first things first, format the card in the phone to ensure it is exFAT

Think you guys for replaying to my post teally didn't expect that many members will answer so, thanx again
So I'll explain te problem with more details
First i put my sd card in a card reader then format it to exfat then i drag my vedio into the sd card (all vedio supprted by s3) i play all videos through my pc ( work perfectly) and pushed the sd card into my s3 and here the problem began .
Some of the vedios didn't work in the phone (currepted) and after return the sd card into card reader to see if the vedios work in the pc now the same vedio currepted in my s3 are currepted in the pc
And I'm ready for more info
Regards

Help me microsdhc card !

I have the problem same this:
" I bought a TF201 two weeks ago. And i inserted a Micro SD card 32gb Kingston to my device yesterday.
When i restart my tablet, it seems like okay when a notification appear in the screen "Preparing external storage..." , but the problem is here: the notification is pop-up in just 1 second then disappear.
And i cant enter my micro sd card. I go to setting -> storage and only see Internal storage 32gb.
Then i go to file manager and cant see anything about micro sd card.
I think the format of my micro sd card is wrong, or something wrong ? Cuz the tablet regconized something inserted in it so i can say there is nothing wrong about the device, isn't it ?" "
I using tf201 ICS .28 and have problem with sandisk 32G class 10. Help me huhu. Thanks for alls !!!
Hi, insert card into your pc or mac and check the card file system. If its ntfs, format it as fat32.

A MicroSD card formatted as NTFS should work with the Prime.
All of my 4 32 GB Class 10 MicroSD cards have been formatted as such and I have never experienced any issues with my Prime recognizing them.
Same here I have 32GB Scandisk class 10 microSD formatted with NTFS and no problems. I agree try reformatting the OS...I had problems with exfat or whatever it called

Have you tried another microSDHC card to rule out the possibility of a faulty memory card?

No ! my card is OK. TF201 accept card, in file manager show me microsd card as external storage, but when i coppy and paste data (ex: Grand Theft Auto III) it don't run.
And in "apps2sd" it show " The device doesn't have a real primary external storage, or the primary external storage is emulated".
I wan't use the card for install apps (similar card on Samsung galaxy ace S5830). Help me please ! Thanks for all !

How did you format the card? It is a known issue that ExFat Formatting on 64G cards will NOT work on the SGSIII and you have to format your card as Fat32.
Try and format the card on your computer as Fat32 and it should work.
It's because the 64gb sandisk is formatted by default as exFat, which is not supported by CWM
The only solution to this is to remformat the card, probably at fat32 as this is the most widely used but BACKUP ALL YOUR DATA FROM extSD FIRST!! as reformatting will wipe the card
Then CWM will recognise this as normal
Mind you fat32 does have its disadvantages, mainly that you won't be able t have a single file bigger then 4gb on it
eh more than 4gb? then whats point of having 64gb SDcard?
i didnt know that was issue with the s3 will there be exFat support in CWM? its really frustrating
Thanks for replies
It's not an issue with the S3 I believe, it's just CWM -no idea if it will be updated to support it though :S
The 4gb thing only means that any one file cannot be bigger then 4gb e.g. you couldn't have a movie file that is 4.5gb in size.
Really it's no problem to have it as fat32 unless you have seriously big files

It is unknown at this time if ExFat will be properly supported but I would assume that at some point it may be. Also, just in case you dont already know, The SGSIII is NOT capable of moving apps to the ExtSD card natively either so if that is one of the reasons you bought such a big card, I hate to "bring you down".
There are some methods to switch your internal and external SD cards to assist in this issue but you will have to search and read the threads to find out the methods.
Just so you know...
yeah i know that i just backup using appcontrol and then move them to exSD
thats quite helpful i didnt know all this else i'd have not given up my 32gb card its quite lame TBH!
cheers for the help least i wont keep formatting my sd card now lol

Cant tell if its blur from the camera or is that label printed at an angle?
Either way, its more important where you bought it, not its appearance. If its ebay then thats an immediate red flag.
Use h2testw.exe to test the card on windows. You probably need a card reader / phone that has usb mass storage mode.
This will tell you if its fake / faulty.
Essentially, fake cards are smaller (cheaper) but programmed to look bigger, so when you hit its true capacity, it starts over writing the older files.... hence these issues.
H2testw will tell you - http://db.tt/b1g0gTPZ

I had a problem with external sd card.
Phone could not handle the card or format and the same in windows and ubuntu.
So it look the card is dead and I wanted t throw the card away.
But it was not dead in my case , I put the card in my digital camera and format the card.
Now my phone windows an ubunto see the card and can handle it as a new card.

[Q] [Solved] Samsung Galaxy S3 External SD Card Issue

First of all I am sorry moderators if this problem has already been posted.. I tried searching for it and found some solutions that didn't work for me..
I have recently bought a new I9300 and I have a Sandisk 32gb External SD card that I would like to use with it. The card is successfully detected by the mobile but I am unable to copy files to the external SD card.. I have tried formatting the card via CWM via computer card reader both in FAT32 and EXFAT format but none of them worked..
16gb is not enough when you want to try different ROMS.. I hope someone has already solved the problem and point me to the right direction.
Thanks in Advance.
Solution:
So after a lot of search I found that many people have this issue regardinh external SD card in Galaxy S3..This is what solved my problem.. may be it would help you too..
I have 32gb Sandisk Card that apparantly seemed out of order because both S3 and laptop were unable to copy files in it.. I was using the sc card jacket that came with the card itself... .
so instead of just returning it to the sales person via mail I personally visit his office to abuse him..
as it is 1hour drive from here..
but when he chekd the card it worked just fine in there.. and I was like "this is not the same card you are using another one"
Anyway the card reader he used was 3.0.. I am sure many people know this but it seemed to work for me.. i bought the same card reader Lexar usb 3.0 card reader and the same card is working just fine.. playing all the files in the cell phone as well..
Still one issue left and that is I cant copy files within the cell phone via root explorer it says "operation failed due to low memory".. I believe I have to remove .nomedia file that is in there if viewed in the explorer but cant delete it may be permission issues.. anyone have any idea?
Let me know of this helped?

Unable to copy files within the cell phone(I mean via Root Explorer)..
copied successfully with the help of external card reader.. (to and from computer to external card reader)
is it still a faulty card? How can I make sure of it?
