Firmware Dump for Coby MID8065 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I have recently made an attempt to root the Coby MID8065 tablet and flashed CWM. In the CWM package there was also a boot.img file, not compatible for my tablet (was though for MID7065) and now my Coby is stuck at the initial screen logo.
Would it be possible for some of you to send the boot.img file for this tablet model or the full, stock firmware dump?
Many thanks in advance!

No one?

Could you fix your problem?
Hi there!, I also want to root the same tablet that you have, could you root it?, if you could tell me how, I really appreciate it!!!

Hi,
No, I did not! I barely got hold of the stock image since no one on the forums helped. Other problem would be that the firmware for this tablet has not been updated in quite a while now and it is open to the latest found exploits and also found some games freezing the tablet (one example would be Despicable Me 2).

I am new to XDA Developers, so forgive the dumb question. What is CWM? I have a COBY mid8065 that is stuck on the COBY flash screen. Reset does not work. I cannot get it to be recognized with flashtools or Root.
If anyone can help. I would greatly appreciate it!

[Q] TWD_MID A13 allwinner Firmware & Recovery mode way

Hi All,
I have A13 allwinner 7" tablet installed and working perfectly android 4.0.4. Have plenty of question which i write below. Thanks for answer in advance.
1) Is it worth to update 4.0.4 to 4.1 or 4.2? Means is A13 processor is sufficient to work? 4.0.4 works perfectly.
2) I am unable to boot in recovery mode with combination of power key and volume key.. Which other way it can work?
3) Any CyanogenMod 10 (jellybean) working perfectly with allwinner A13?
Will keep asking question in further and disturb you..
I have to post a new thread because I could not find any answer of my particular questing in whole xda family.
I 've got the same chinese tablet.
Unfortunately there isn't any custom working ROM.
I found some but it reported that touch screen isn't working as expected

Yes I read some post about touch screen. But there should a way around here. I seen one a10 working jellybean perfectly.
I agree that there will be a solution soon.
A10 and A13 are different CPUS.
Also every chinese tablet has different hardware specifications therefore it's difficult to make a working custom ROM for all of these...

cm9 is available for a13 cpu.just search it

Hi,
Mind telling me which tree did you use? I'm not able to see an *.img file in any of those 3 trees, only a recovery folder from the Allwinner tree. Do I need to convert this into an image first?
Sorry been a while since I flashed a recovery image (using command line flash_image) on my Star A1000. I just bought a TWD_MID tablet and got the same problem (no recovery mode, only safe mode). Thanks in advance for the help.
therecis a better recovery at www.techknow.me anywayv in order to install the recovery you need to open a command window into the folder that you put the files in and thin you type " sh file name.sh instad of file name you type the sh that you have

BUMP. Anybody here please help?
Freaktab has a dev that's been working on the amlogic nextbook and has a slightly modded stock dump in zip format that might work. Depending on the build date of your tab wifi might not work properly.
(was on my phone earlier... a little hard to find and post links from there)
I can't remember if directly linking another forum from here is acceptable or not... so for now this is the best I can offer.
This is a link to a forum Shaunmt starting here at xda for the 8P12 tablet from Nextbook for root and rom, if you do a little digging around at Freaktab from the link he provided you should find the direct link to the root and rom page for the 7P12 tablet.

Good Luck.

[Q] Help on A13 Q88E Android Tablet

Hi guys
I'm following XDA forum for some years now, under a different nickname, and this is my first post.
Unfortunately this is a Help Me!!! post
This is the situation:
My son as a A13 Q88E board android tablet, and a friend of him, made some experiences with the device, installing CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.2. in it.
Now it's stuck on a neverending bootloop recovery.
I Know that i could flash a new rom, but the problem is that this one in particular ins't available nowhere. It's a Avery E700, similar to Navcity NT-1710, and others, actually they are the exact same thing, only diferent brands.
The solution that is rolling over the internet it's to flash a Mapan rom (MX713), but chances are that it will not work 100%.
I would like to remove the CWM recovery so i can boot into system again.
Somehow i managed to extract a rom dump of the installed original rom, but that's it, i'm stuck there, i can't restore that backup, and right now i just can't afford to buy a new tablet for him.
Is there any way to replace that CWM-based recovery?
Sorry for the log post, and i want to say thanks in advance to all help you can provide.
Fernando

[Q] E-ceros revolution clone (RK3188) need working firmware

Good day!
I wounder if anybody can help me here...
Few weeks ago I got a 9.7 inch tablet what is looks like E-ceros revolution tablet but not real one... (China copy without any description on the back lid).
It was very laggy so I decided to write tweaked rooted firmware for E-ceros revolution tablet. All specs where the same:
RK3188 CPU 1,6GHZ; Mali 400 GPU; 9.7 inch... All details(book photos and other) attached...
After I flashed the firmware("Ceros Revolution CT9716 Android 4.4.2 KitKat custom root firmware" or after failure the Q9white_update_FT5406_20130806.img) using RKAndoidtool 1.7. I figured out that forgot to make the backup of entire device, when tablet rebooted I see black screen(with back light) and computer show as usb device connected... But no image on screen...
Complete disaster it is a new tablet, never used and bricked...
I found that after firmware flash using adb shell I get root mode but not for long(for about 2 min., later tablet getting disconnected by it self) and after reboot no more root mode... Need reflash again...
In root mode I succeeded to get some logs(adb dmesg) and data about the tablet. (see .txt file attached)
Can anyone help me in such situation? I can donate some money if succeeded...
P.S: To make sure that it is rk3188 device I opened tablet and checked the chip on board...

Hi,
I have a firmware for a tablet like yours (i dont know if its a Revolution clone - Memup Elite 9716). Maybe you will be able to try the firmware at least.
I can't upload it now, but I'll probably tomorrow.

Dull ! I forgot about this post I made ... Sorry
My tablet is a Memup brand:
http://www.cdiscount.com/informatiq...9716-quad-core/f-10798010212-spelite9716.html
I flashed a "OMA" ROM on it (4.4.2 I think), and I have the original rom at home and I guess I can (slowly!) upload it on a server.
Is it the same as yours ? - no money needed, lol . But if I can help you recover this tablet it would be great.
Maybe you could try this ROM, the one I flashed:
https://www.dealabs.com/url/?e=AGfyxEyWcavcqyVJeRhZp7d5F8Z0KrLcgoS1mbga6vPZ1aLCP38R53nhHk/SlqhM
A procedure is included in English, in this file. I followed those and it's working.
I think that your tablet isn't bricked, as it's detected by your computer.
Some steps requires bootloader mode : https://download.chinavasion.com/download/Others/ceros_rev_firmware_install_9470.pdf

Hi,
Just FYI the model number he's asking to be rooted is a textbook NX 16A11264. The 11 inch 2 and1 android tablet 6.0.1. Your inspiration for him to follow in your link was for a (52060) which is a different model number. Just FYI. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks bigken1777
anyone have stock boot.img and stock system.img? its in a boot loop, soft bricked. can still access TWRP and BIOS but so far nothing seems to work.
