cant update to jb, need stock kernel! - HTC Desire X

So i finally decided to update to jb . at my first try, i flashed a stock recovery from this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2076675) then i download the update and install. but installation stops halfway, it gives me red triangle then reboot by itself.
what can i do to fix this?
so i had to flash twrp again and restored a nand backup of ckpv5 from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210619), done with restoring nand backup i proceed, went to fastboot, conect my phone to pc. and i extracted the STOCK_recovery.img_Installer.zip from here again (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210619) and i clicked on Install Recovery.img then it says done. then i reboot.
so of course im back to pure stock, not rooted. then i try to download and install the jb update again. the same, it stops halfway and gives me red triangle. then i wonder whats the cause of this. i already restored a fresh nand backup, no root and flashed stock recovery.
then i just remember i flashed nexus_prime custom kernel before. then i go to settings>software information>more>then it says my kernel version is [email protected] #2 SMP PREEMPT, and its true, nexus prime kernel still applied eventhough i already restored a fresh nand backup. this means even i already restored a fresh nand backup and flashed a stock recovery, why im still using nexus prime custom kernel?
so the reason why i cant update eventhough i already restored a nand backup and install stock recovery, im still using a custom kernel of nexusprime it just wont go away.
so how to use stock kernel again? pls help...

I think so, just try to make the update.
After update you have supersu, but no root. I read here somewhere that you must flash supersu again after update to have root

[Solved] Problem with nand backup of JB

Hi guys! Today I wanted to get back to my JB nand backup, but the only thing I get is a black screen.
I've made a backup this way:
1) Unlocked bootloader
2) flashed nexusrecovery
3) Made a backup
Now I try to get back to JB backup. so I do next steps:
1) Restore backup in nexus recovery (OK)
2) Install stock recovery
3) Restart
4) Black screen
What am I doing wrong? Maybe wrong recovery? The faster you answer, the bigger THANK YOU you'll get

U have to flash the jb optimized recovery.

[Q] Need help rooting/installing custom rom

I've unlocked the bootloader of my Desire X, but whenever I try to install Android revolution, it gives me a bunch of errors saying the file couldn't be opened, any rom I stick on the SD has trouble being read by Nexus recovery , I've tried 3 other SD cards. Also after I rooted the phone, I still can't give applications such as Titanium backup root privileges because it says it couldn't find the root binary?
I've got Nexus recovery installed on stock 4.2.
I've also wanted to try other recoveries, is it as simple as flashing a new one through fastboot or do I have to do something else?
I really need help, so I'd be grateful for any you can offer me

If you are on stock 4.2, you also have HBoot 1.25, so maybe you can't install these roms because your HBoot it isn't 1.24 or lower.
Try to re-flash stock recovery, then flash neXus' again.
Or maybe it can be kernel stuff, did you flash the attached boot.img?

Look in the 'Desire X Original Android Development' Section for a TWRP recovery for JB hboot. It's working great for me. You can flash it the same way you flashed the NexusRecovery (fastboot)

Yeah. You can just flash it over the NexusRecovery. You never have to go back to stock.
Okay, I just flashed TWRP over my current recovery.
I've tried to flash Sense revolution and it just fails through TWRP, why is this?
Wipe the phone and try again.
Maybe It can be because of MD5 verification. Only happens on that ROM?

[Q] help! cant upgrade to jb!

ok before i was on ics stock. then i upgrade to jb and i dont like it. so many bugs. it is an early jb build btw.
then i downgraded back to ics by installing a jb hboot twrp, and restore a ics nand backup by ckpv5. then 3 months later which is today, i want to upgrade back to jb.
so i install everything back to stock. both stock recovery.img and stock boot.img installed. i used the files from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210619 at post #1 there are
STOCK_boot.img_Installer.zip - [Click for QR Code] (3.58 MB, 609 views)
STOCK_recovery.img_Installer.zip - [Click for QR Code] (4.32 MB, 622 views)
and just simply press install recovery.img and install boot.img command via fastboot. ok so all done everything is stock. stock kernel stock recovery and stock ics rom, but jb hboot.
then i go to settings and check for update, and i downloaded the 4.1 jb upgrade and it says ready to install then i press ok to install it. then my phone shuts off by itself then i didnt really pay attention to my phone for about 20 seconds then my phone reboots, i thought to myself wow it took this short amount of time to upgrade to jb? then after phone boots my phone are still on ics!! i checked an update again from settings and it ask me to download the updates again.
what should i do? i already changed everything to stock, recovery and boot (kernel) to stock. what else i should do?

You already updated to JB before, so there is no need/you can't to do software update again (with ICS boot.img and recover.img but your hboot is JB), just simply restore your JB Nandroid backup
Then only do software update checking if there is another update for your CID

You're definitely using a TWRP recovery made for JB hboot? @GtrCraft, did you put the right boot.img inside the zip?
Also, you can try flashing a custom JB kernel of your choice.
@dansou901 I believe so, flashing this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2344254) work like a charm (except for the rom that hasn't got any wifi, ...)
How can i check to be sure?

For booting that ROM a CM kernel is needed. As you have installed one (if it works like you said), you need to install a JB Sense kernel (just pick one from Original Android Development section). Then reinstall SuperSense and you should be fine.
I'll give that a go and let you know
@dansou901 , i've used this boot.img (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337389) because i've already been able to flash that rom as well.
but now i can't seem to get rid of my previous custom rom. i've done a factory reset, i wiped everything there is to wipe, i've flashed the above boot.img and supersense but it's still another custom rom on my device :s

That's a CM kernel as well. I told you to use a Sense kernel. Use this one for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483489
and your recovery should work again as expected. Btw, which recovery did you install? Please give the link.

That one's made for ICS, if I recall correctly... Don't use it. Use this one instead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2099513 But be sure to use a JB version.
After changing my recovery, finally i was able to flash the custom rom. I used the boot.img you gave me, but is that going to affect some of the features in the rom?
And i would like to thank you allready

No, it's not. You can however choose the kernel yourself as I said... But keep in mind that it has to be a JB Sense kernel (just read the OP of the kernel thread carefully, then you'll know). For recoveries, keep this in mind.
