I didn't flash it I'm still S-On I just ripped the binary and took the version string and posted it here. Thought it would be important to some users as the hboot is older than the current ones in our phone.
I'm still waiting for enough feedbacks before doing S-Off they could have side effects who knows... I already encountered an hboot issue(network connection dropping/signal loss) on my HTC Mytouch 4g slide with revolutionary and I'm very careful now

Indeed It ran fine on the DNA with sense 5 roms but unsure the impact it would have on the M7 in terms of rom compatibility

Is the DNA Sense 5 port a full port? Or still having libs from DNA? What about the kernel? If it's a full port it should be compatible.
Can't view the twitter account you posted it's protected Anyways where did the hboot came from anyways? It's source is also important in distinguishing it's compatibility.

Does the DNA & HTC One have the same partition layouts? If no I would suggest against using it on HTC One. Hboot is all about bootloader & partitions.
Only thing to take note when flashing hboot is
1. Kernel compatibility
2. Partition layout similarity of the original device.
I already tried flashing a eng hboot of HTC Sensation once in my MT4GS so I'm very aware of of hboots.

Hey guys,
I made a plugin a couple of days ago for RegawMOD Bootloader Customizer for AT&T's HTC One. With this you all can customize your 1.44.0000 hboots to your hearts content. You can change *** UNLOCKED *** to any thing you like. Change the .0000 in the hboot version to any version you want (purely cosmetic), hide or customize the development disclaimer (red text at boot), update build date/time, and show S-On instead of S-OFF.
You can download Regaw's program here and my plugin on his second post or here. Please thank @regaw_leinad for the tool that makes it possible.
If this does not belong here I am sorry, mods feel free to move.

That explains it then. I guess I should head over there. By chance do you know anything about converting T-Mobile htc one to dev edition?

Yup. Grab the proper hboot for your device from rumrunner.us, follow the instructions to flash it, change your CID to SuperCID and run the dev. Ed. RUU. Couldn't be much easier. (Addition: You must be S-Off prior to doing this)
(With that HBOOT you can also change the MID to Dev. Ed. and use the actual Dev. Ed CID too if you wish. That's how I normally do it.)
Dev Ed Info:
CID: BS__001
MID: PN0712000
Good thread on CID/MID inffo and RUU: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823
htc1guru.com also has most of the RUU files.
I've converted mine from T-Mobile to INT'L, GPe, Dev and back several times. That HBOOT above is a life-saver.
Good luck!

Not if you're T-Mobile.
They list the different HBOOTs and what device they are for. Not sure it really makes a huge difference, but probably good to stick with what device you have.
Compiled some links (working on my own "guide"):

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781 (GPe RUU zip files and instructions.)
Hope it helps.

100 percent personal preference. I *love* the sense 5.5 quick settings tiles, but also really like GPe.
Really tough decision for me on that one. Eventually went with GPE and an xposed-mod to change the default behavior of the tiles. (big fan of Advanced Reboot and Gravitybox xposed-mods)
I've gone back and forth so many times though that I've got it down to a 15 minute process. (Yeah, it's that bad...I can't stop....I need help...)
So I wrote a quick guide. Wanna test it? Let me know if it works/what steps I may be missing:
Prerequisites:
Must be Unlocked (HTCDev)
Must be S-OFF (Rumrunner / revone)
Windows 7 - Using WIndows 8 will mess you up. Don't do it.
(I should probably put the standard disclaimer here, but if they are unlocked and S-Off, well..their warranty is already voided, amirite?)
Download a modified HBOOT for your device here:
http://rumrunner.us/hboots/
Find the CID & MID info needed for your desired conversion here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823
(Example: Dev Edition - CID: HTC__001 and MID: PN0712000
Download the RUU file for your conversion here:
http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/ruu-file-downloads/
Or if converting to GPE, from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781
Now that you have everything you need:
Flash the modified HBOOT:
From bootloader/fastboot USB mode:
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip hboot_rumrunner_<XXXYYYZZZ>.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Change your CID/MID
Code:
fastboot oem writeCID xxxxxxxx
fastboot oem writemid PN07xxxxxx
Run the RUU executable ot (for GPe):
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip <name of GPe zipfile.zip>
RUU exe will reboot your device, GPe zip will require you to:
Code:
fastboot reboot
From here, any OTA's should be downloadable/flashable through the OS.

Yeppers. Well, for me anyway. Some folks reported better coverage/bars by flashing the T-Mob radio after, but...meh. Placebo.
Dev edition will actually be one step above your T-Mo edition since they are on 4.4 with Sense 5.5 already if I am not mistaken. I believe the Int'l edition is also on 4.4 and Sense 5.5. (blinkfeed can be disabled and the quick settings tiles can be changed/re-arranged)
Good stuff.

Does Firewater S-OFF method help us?
I think yes cause it talks about "qualcomm-based" devices. Anyone tried it? I will try in a few hours!
Tell me or consider this post.
Great find.
Unfortunately closed-source but supposedly works on all Qualcomm-based HTC devices. In theory it should work on our device. Please let us know if you achieve S-OFF without the boot vibrations that happens with Rumrunner S-OFF: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2630531

Like you can split an hdd in partitions and set them a size, name etc. also android has its partitions to work on: one for bootloader, one for kernel, one for system, etc.
Changing the size it means you can set to which partition you want custom size, for ex. you can change /system partition size to 1mb and you will not be never able to boot a rom, for example..

It has to be done outside the phone on a PC. You have to extract the hboot, modify the image, and flash it back to the phone. Back at my old phone, the HTC Aria, we got someone in our forums who wrote a tool for that. But I doubt that it'll be much use for us. For the HTC Aria, it was important to get CM greater or equal 9 running because system partition was too small.
