I've had my DNA for not quite a month now. For the first couple weeks I haven't had any issues, then last week suddenly my Exchange email gets stuck at updating. No one else at my company is having issues at the same time (android and iphone users) as me, a reboot of the phone doesn't alter the behavior at all. The first one happened after I had installed the Qualcomm Snapdragon battery app, I ended up deleting and re-adding my Exchange account and it worked fine for two days. After the second time I did the same thing but also then uninstalled the battery app. Now it's happened yet again.
I've noticed that I have to delete the account and then reboot the phone before I can set the account back up or else it seems to think the password is wrong. I'm a domain admin at work so I've reset my password there and have had no change either setting it directly in AD or using the change password option in Windows. Has anyone ever seen this or have any ideas as to why it might be happening? It seems to last about 2 days before it happens each time, give or take 12 hours.
Let me know if any further information is needed.
Thanks
This one didn't even last 2 hours....and before I set up the account I went in and deleted all the data from the Mail app first thinking maybe something had been hung up by the Qualcomm Snapdragon. I think my next step is to do a factory restore/reset. I don't want to risk using Moonshine until I know for sure it's not a hardware problem of some sort (I don't think it is really).
So I did the factory reset last Saturday. It's been working great and I thought it was fixed until just a few minutes ago when it suddenly hung again. As before I deleted the account, cleared the app data for Mail and force stopped it, tried to set my account back up and my credentials weren't being accepted. Reboot the DNA and then was able to set the Exchange account back up. If the pattern holds true I'm good again for another 2 days. I'm tempted to root and throw on a custom rom, but would love ANY feedback from anyone with thoughts or ideas before I do so as I don't see how it could be anything hardware related...but you never know.
Thanks.

Hmm, this is really bugging me now.
Hero has been running Exchange sync perfectly for a couple of weeks, but today it went AWOL and stopped connecting.
I rebooted the router (because I work from home and use the phone and laptop over wi-fi), but this didn't cure it.
Decided to shut down Outlook on my laptop (which was working perfectly anyway) and disconnect the VPN, then re-connect and see if my laptop would have the same problem as my Hero. Launched the VPN and it asked me to reset my password (usually due to our 90 day expiry policy) - okay, I changed the password and it connected fine, and Outlook appeared perfectly as it should. But the Hero still wouldn't connect, using both the original password and the new one (not that I expected this to change anything anyway).
The error I get (whatever I do) is "Authenticaion failed. Please verify username and/or password."
Got really irritated with this and deleted the account. Set it back up from scratch and still the same error.
Got even more irritated, remembering how the Hero seems to allow some people to only set up Exchange and Gmail accounts when they first set up the phone, i.e. during the "out the box" setting up stage. Figured I may have to do a factory reset, but had an idea ... download RoadSync and set up my account as usual ... same error even with this!!!! Aaarrgghghh!
All this after I've been signing the praises of the little Hero.
Does anyone have a fix? HTC can't help. My office say nothing has changed on Exchange. Any ideas?
Thanks
SC
Now fixed and working again.
Asked the office IT guys to change my password. It must have overwritten some kind of password corruption caused by me doing remotely, even though I've done it that was for the last 18 months.
Anyway, if people are having an Exchange authentication problem via Hero sync, it may be worth asking your IT people to change the password.

Here is my issue. When I read or delete an email from my phone, it doesnt reflect in gmail when I login. It still shows as unread. Whenever I get new emails on the phone, it will say I have 5, but I only have 1 because I already read the other 4. But I cannot see them and can only view them then from gmail online.
Never had this issue live past a *228 and reboot. I have cleared cache, tried reflash. Everything. Even went back to a working NAND and still same issue. I am using Aloysius v11 MAPS.
Any thoughts?
Well I guess no one has had this issue. I finally got it working so far after 3 reflashes. NO idea why this happened, but hope it never happens again.
I've experienced 4 or 5 so far since getting the phone yesterday. I rooted it, installed Launcher Pro, Tapatalk, Twitter, set up email sync for work, but otherwise I haven't done anything extravagant with it.
I've had 2 reboots today, goes to the red dual core Motorola core logo and then comes back up.
First time I was using speedtest.net app. Second time all I did was try to swipe my finger to unlock the phone.
Any one else?

I seem to be having some random reboots as well. I haven't rooted it yet because it was doing this and I wasn't sure why.
Did you add in an email account as a "Corporate Sync" account?
I was thinking that this was causing my problem and deleted my work account which I set up as a corporate sync account.
So far I haven't had any reboots but it's still to early to tell if this actually fixed the problem.
I had 3 random reboots and 4 random freeze followed by a random reboot.
not too happy atm.
I've had the phone since 9am PST, and no reboots.
Exchange your phones.
I just started a thread about this. Had one random reboot today.

I am using corporate sync.
I just did a reset and will see what happens. I also have a second Atrix for the GF and I will see if she has had any reboots. She also uses LauncherPro but doesn't use corporate sync.

Had mine for 4 days. No reboots and not rooted.

It would be nice to establish if this is a wide spread problem. I don't want to get another rebooting phone. I would like to establish if this should be permanently returned.
Fortunately I'll by watching the second unit I have closely too.

Yeah, removing the corporate sync account didn't help me. It just rebooted on me then when it came back it froze and then rebooted again hahah.

Are you using launcher pro?
I used the phone all day yesterday no reboots. Today I installed launcher pro & it rebooted on me after 7 hrs. So Launcher pro seems to be the culprit?
I reset the device, loaded all my apps except launcher pro and it hasn't reboot yet in 4 hours. This was after initial root.
GF is still using Launcher Pro but hasn't reported the issue although she hardly does anything but make phone calls on it.
Will check back tomorrow.

Anyone with reboots using Advanced Task Killer by RECHILD?

Nope. I am using the default stock launcher and don't have Advanced Task Killer installed. The device isn't rooted either, I was waiting until this got sorted out first haha.
When I first saw this yesterday I thought I did something weird and did a factory reset. It seemed like it worked but then it started rebooting again. This morning it must have rebooted at least 8 times when showing it to other people haha. There was one time when it froze and I couldn't do anything and holding the power button wouldn't shut it down, I eventually had to pull the battery. There was another time when it rebooted and the red led was flashing for a while but it eventually started up again.
After that I deleted my corporate sync email account and I thought that worked but then when I got home it started doing it again.
Please let me know how your phones do.
I just had it happen to me for the First time. Didn't do it until after I rooted (could be just a coincidence) I was plugged into USB and connected to Moto Media Link. I have Advanced Task Killer and some other apps installed but no launcher. FYI I'll track whether this keeps happening or not and when.
I have noticed some random reboots as well. Not rooted but do have Advanced Task Killer installed as well a few other random applications.
I will keep an eye on it the next day or so and reset the phone if it doesn't stop.
Probably should remove Advanced Task Killer don't really need it with the Task manager installed.
I ended up going to the ATT store and they gave me a new phone. So far I have had no issues and I haven't been able to make it reboot.
On the old device I was able to make it reboot by just opening apps one after another and in a few mins it would reboot or freeze and require a battery pull. If it didn't reboot after a few mins I would shut it down, start it back up and just start opening apps again, eventually it would happen. Without doing this process my phone would reboot about 8-10 times a day when using it.
When using the same process multiple times on the new phone it hasn't rebooted once so I think it was just a bad phone.
Running LP and only had 1 reboot in 2 days. I will say it sure is laggy on LP though...

Hi there fellow S6 edge owners.
my version of Samsung S6 Edge is Hong Kong's G9250, only got this phone two days, ago, I used to have an HTC One m7 and always rooted with custom roms, but seems like Samsung has done a great job this time, I am going to stick with stock rom for now.
Strange things happened to me after I purchase from the store and with the helpful staff from the samsung store helping me setting up this beauty. Not long later after I walk out of the store the Following message from Security Log pops up: "Unauthorised actions have been detected. Restart your device to undo any unauthorised changes"
So I restart my phone, thinking it's no biggie, but the message would reoccur any time in between 30 to 2 hours, or when I am updating and installing apps as a new phone. I didn't transfer any old contents, nor having install any apk manually. The rom is stock as it can be.
So I factory reset it, and the same message would keep popping up, I scan my phone using the security app and no threats were found, but I had to restart my phone to make the notifications goes away, I start to suspect there might be something wrong with the rom itself or the kernel, so I decide to Factory reset it in under 6 hours of purchase, after booting on and signing in, the message would come up again!!
So I took it to the store, and asked them have they seen this? One of the manager said you need to cleared the app preferences and clear the credentials. I also updated the security policy myself. but still no luck. So they gave me a new one, with in 20 minutes of setting up, the message "Unauthorised actions have been detected. Restart your device to undo any unauthorised changes" Comes up again.
I am just wondering if any other is experiencing any similar issues? This is getting annoying.
same issue
Im having the same issue with Australian stock.
I too am having the same issue on Australian stock. :/
I'm having the exact same issue with Hong Kong stock. Tried everything from reinstalling to clearing the app preferences.
Has anyone found a solution to this annoyance? I don't like these notifications popping up every 5 minutes!!
If youre rooted, Use TitaniumBackup and freeze "SecurityLogAgent"
it'll get rid of those popups

same problem here as well
So, I was faced with the same problem as you all above. I did a bit of research and speculate (I'm still not 100% on this) that this security bug is linked with the keyboard Samsung has preinstalled on the device. Try disabling it, using another keyboard, or just disconnecting it from any network it may use (mainly to update your dictionary regularly.)
What I did exactly:
-Reboot phone into recovery, wipe cache partition, factory reset.
-Start up phone, security threat came after a few minutes, before anything was installed.
-Restarted phone through security to reset kernel
-On startup, disabled keyboard and enabled swiftkey. Scanned, result: secure.
-Enabled keyboard, but disabled all features. No problems. Scanned, result: secure.
-Enabled features one by one, no problems yet. No problems. Scanned, result: secure.
-Reset keyboard settings. Scanned, result: secure. After a few minutes, security was triggered.
As I said, this may or may not be related, but this is the first time I've been seeing my phone as secured since I bought it.
I read somewhere that the problem is known.. and should be fixed in an update...if you are rooted you know what you have to do
Had the very same problem which disappeared with the update to 5.1.1. Have a couple of colleagues who suffered as well as the update cleared it up. Unfortunately from what I've read 5.1.1 kills the prospect of rooting without triggering Knox... Should have done more research before rushing to update...

Hello guys!
I work at a smartphone repair shop fixing phones both hardware and software issues. A customer came in yesterday, they just bought a Galaxy Core Prime from T-Mobile (SM-G360T). The same day she was partying, setup a password to unlock the screen and couldn't remember it the next day.
I told her I could remove the password however she would lose pics & docs since we had to do a factory reset.
A few hours later she came back in and showed me this weird loop the phone is going thru. It asks to setup a Wi-Fi and enter her gmail account. Upon entering the gmail account it goes back to same screen to accept terms, enter Wi-Fi, etc.
I concluded this is the copy of Apple's iCloud lock, obviously, albeit it seems filled with bugs. If that is the case then what is the website I can go to remove the lock - same thing as going into iCloud.com and removing "Find my iPhone" - that would remove the lock for android? Does google even allow removing of this feature online?
I have checked email/pass the information is legit, all the email notifications are there.
My other alternative is download a different ROM (since I can't find the T-Mobile one, seems it just came out - SM-G360T) and try restoring via ODIN, however, I'm not sure it will work since I've done a factory reset, thus removing USB Debugging.
Help me out if possible guys, thanks in advance!

If it was her Google password that was reset, you must wait 72 hours before factory resetting after changing the Google password. That's what this sounds like. Try entering the old password or wait 72 hours.

The password was never reset though, she had the same password before even purchasing the phone. Does that 72 hr thing still apply? I'm just confused as to why there's no place to deactivate this like in iCloud's "Find my iPhone". I can access the account, have searched all settings, I even get the notification email when I login from the phone itself, but it just goes back to terms, wi-fi, enter email, repeat. LOL
I'm guessing the T-Mobile variant is brand-new as well (SM-G360T) since I can find many other ROMs but none for the G360T.
Oh well I'll wait til the 72hr period or ROM shows up, thanks for the help :good:
Hi I hv a similar problem I forgot my pin on my galazy core prime so I did a hard reset. Then on log in I couldn't remebber my google password so I changed it via laptop. But it wont let me log in still. I can access google account on laptop etc what is going on please help
I need help I have factory reset my Samsung galaxy core prime and I keep going to put my Google account in but nothing it keeps going back saying please enter a email that was recently linked which I keep doing and nothing it's just keeps going back can u please help
Galaxy Core Prime Looping Hell
The phones keep looping back to the login screen beacuse of a security feature put in place by samsung. We must contact them directly and submit proof of ownership ( proof of activation or copy of receipt) in order for them to disable this security feature. The number to call is 800-726-7864.
you can remove that device from this account.
