Gmail on phone not syncing with Gmail - Droid Eris Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Here is my issue. When I read or delete an email from my phone, it doesnt reflect in gmail when I login. It still shows as unread. Whenever I get new emails on the phone, it will say I have 5, but I only have 1 because I already read the other 4. But I cannot see them and can only view them then from gmail online.
Never had this issue live past a *228 and reboot. I have cleared cache, tried reflash. Everything. Even went back to a working NAND and still same issue. I am using Aloysius v11 MAPS.
Any thoughts?

Well I guess no one has had this issue. I finally got it working so far after 3 reflashes. NO idea why this happened, but hope it never happens again.

Email stops working after ~15 minutes - anyone have this problem?

Since flashing my phone last week, I've had problems with both my work email (synced through an exchange server) and Gmail. 15 minutes or so after being turned on, email no longer works. Although Activesync claims it is connected to the exchange server, it won't sync and manually pressing "sync" does nothing. Gmail won't send or receive email either, and if I click the menu button I see "Stop Send/Receive" as if it is syncing but if I click that it just says "Disconnecting...". The only way to fix this is to soft reset the phone, at which point everything syncs just fine when it starts back up, but 15 minutes later I have the same problem. Internet works fine....running dcd 4.1.2. I've reflashed several times, done a hard reset....nothing seems to fix this. Anyone experienced this issue and know how to resolve it?
ou try reflashing just for the hell of it? And which ROM/Radio did you flash it with?
Yeah I reflashed several times. I was using dcd 3.3.4 when the problem started. I've done hard resets, reflashed, upgraded today to dcd 4.1.2 to see if the problem would go away, but no luck so far. I can access the internet, but the email syncing just seems to stop working after a few minutes and I'm forced to do a soft reset to get it to sync. Perhaps not just an email problem, as my weather program (Pocket Weather) can't seem to connect either when the email stops connecting. Any ideas?
Oh and radio version is 3.42.50....

[Q] Gmail won't sync even after clearing cache

Hey guys,
A couple of days ago, I had an issue where the sending tag would stay on the mails when trying to send something. But apperently it did send the mails, but since it was stuck in sending it would never receive. So I went to clear the cache data on gmail and the storage, and when I started the app it stays on "Your email will appear shortly" and stays on "waiting for sync", the account info says account not sync.
Any ideas on what to do? I can't reinstall the gmail app, since it won't let me uninstall it.
Have you tried a basic step like turning off and on the sync?
It usually work for most cases.
Strange thing, I turned off the phone, took the battery out, and it kinda reset, because even the clock went out, and worked. I had done that before and didn't had any effect.
Thanks anyway

[Q] Exchange issue on stock

I've had my DNA for not quite a month now. For the first couple weeks I haven't had any issues, then last week suddenly my Exchange email gets stuck at updating. No one else at my company is having issues at the same time (android and iphone users) as me, a reboot of the phone doesn't alter the behavior at all. The first one happened after I had installed the Qualcomm Snapdragon battery app, I ended up deleting and re-adding my Exchange account and it worked fine for two days. After the second time I did the same thing but also then uninstalled the battery app. Now it's happened yet again.
I've noticed that I have to delete the account and then reboot the phone before I can set the account back up or else it seems to think the password is wrong. I'm a domain admin at work so I've reset my password there and have had no change either setting it directly in AD or using the change password option in Windows. Has anyone ever seen this or have any ideas as to why it might be happening? It seems to last about 2 days before it happens each time, give or take 12 hours.
Let me know if any further information is needed.
Thanks
This one didn't even last 2 hours....and before I set up the account I went in and deleted all the data from the Mail app first thinking maybe something had been hung up by the Qualcomm Snapdragon. I think my next step is to do a factory restore/reset. I don't want to risk using Moonshine until I know for sure it's not a hardware problem of some sort (I don't think it is really).
So I did the factory reset last Saturday. It's been working great and I thought it was fixed until just a few minutes ago when it suddenly hung again. As before I deleted the account, cleared the app data for Mail and force stopped it, tried to set my account back up and my credentials weren't being accepted. Reboot the DNA and then was able to set the Exchange account back up. If the pattern holds true I'm good again for another 2 days. I'm tempted to root and throw on a custom rom, but would love ANY feedback from anyone with thoughts or ideas before I do so as I don't see how it could be anything hardware related...but you never know.
Thanks.

[Q] Gmail password problems

I have an Orange HTC Titan, running on 7.10.8107.79 (cant install the most recent update, thats another can of worms!)
Its recently, i.e. the last few days, started to have problems with the built in Gmail app. I clicked it, and immediately get a message to input my password; i do, but it comes back, ad infinitum.
I read somewhere that removing it and putting an 'other account' app in would clear it, which it did, but it didnt seem workable, as it seemed to have other problems downloading emails as they arrived. So a day or so later i put the Gmail app back in and it worked again as per normal.
Until this morning!
Clicked the app this morning and im now getting the same message, asked for my password constantly. My password is correct (ive checked!), so im at a loss.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve
Try installing this update, then try updating the OS again.

MMS not working!

Ok, so I've had this issue more than once, but MMS had completely stopped working, sending and receiving. The last two times it stopped, I figured it was because I cleared all data for the Samsung messaging app, and the only fix was to reset. And this was after owning the phone for only a few weeks. This time it's been fine for awhile, but suddenly stopped again, and I didn't delete the Samsung messaging app data. Any ideas on this issue so I don't have to reset again, I've done so much since the last time I reset, it would really suck to have to setup everything again.
Here's some basic info so far:
I am up to date on OS
I've been using the Samsung messaging app since last time I reset
I've tried restarting
I've tried *228
I've tried the Verizon messaging+ app, after issue started, but no change
