Hey people,
I tried connecting my Jabra320 up to my Touch HD the other day. The headset should support A2DP for stereo bluetooth, which worked with my old Touch Dual, however, whenever I try adding the headset to my HD I can only see the hands free profile.
Anyone had any problems with A2DP or any ideas how to fix this?
I was thinking about getting a Sony Ericsson headset, but don't want to commit to the investment until I know that I can use the A2DP profile...
I'm using Dutty's v2.5 rom and the v1.12 radio.
Same problem with new duttys roms. It shows me both wireless stereo and handsfree but when i try only to connect A2DP it disconnects. Worked fine on older duttys roms.
I have Jabra 620s

You're getting a little further than I - I domn't see the 'Wireless Stereo' option at-all. Well I believe Dutty is releasing a new ROM soon. Hopefully it'll be fixed then. If not I'll mention the problem when it comes out - hopefully Dutty or someone will find a fix.
Thanks though for confirming I'm not the only one with this problem!
Hope you guys has fixed your problem. if not, let me tell you how to fix it.
I had the same issue before. now it works.
1. make sure your headset is power off and delete the connection on your cellphone.
2. connect your charger to the headset for 4 seconds, then disconnect it.
3. repeat step2 4 times.
4. after that, your headset will be reset. then, reconnect to your cell phone and you will see wireless stereo function enabled.
What I have discovered on my A2DP headphones (Philips SHB7100) is that when I power them on it will automatically connect but only with wireless headset (phone calls only) functionality.
What I have to do is go to the touchflo settings tab, select Menu> Bluetooth Devices and disconnect then reconnect the headset. Once I do that it connects for both A2DP and phone calls.
I also have a Jabra "Dogtag" headset and it ALWAYS reconnects with both automatically unlike the Philips set, so I suspect this also has something to do with the headset itself and not just the OS/ROM.
Can it be done?
When I connect via aux cable with my car nothing happens when I press previous/next on the car radio.
Thanks
Probably bc the standard 3.5mm headphone jack is only for transmitting audio, not to control anything.
This should be possible if you have a radio with USB input for flash drives or ipods but not over an aux cable. Perhaps you could try to find an aux cable with the track forward/reverse built in to the cable? I know I've seen headphones with it but not sure about the cable alone..
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I had an aux in fitted in my car and was told the next/previous would work. When it didnt they said it would only work on a ipod. Interesting comment about the cable - anyone able to confirm whether the headphones lead is different?
To be honest, with the swipe action on the music player, this doesnt really bother me as its easy to do this whilst driving. However, I'd like to switch to another music app given the random function doesnt work properly....
I definitely know where youre coming from, I've always used an ipod for music, but want to use my mt4g now (or try to).
I messed around today and here's what I've came up with:
with the aux cable (standard 3.5mm headphone cable) you only have control of the tracks on the device, not with the radio's controls. you might be able to find cable with seek buttons built in (like some headphones) to make it easier but I've never actually seen one.
If your radio has a usb input on it you can connect your phone via usb, mount the sd card (as if using mass storage on a comp) and your radio should detect and read it as a flash drive. going this route your phone will charge, but you'll ONLY be able to control tracks from the radio head unit and you wont be able to listen to Slacker Radio or Pandora or other similar apps via usb. another plus is that the processing is done by the headunit, thus you could use your headunits random function.
The last option (that I think is king) is if you have a bluetooth enabled headunit, the HD2 can stream audio over bluetooth (a2dp) to your radio. You could then pair and stream music, Slacker, Pandora, etc and maintain control on the device (I would prefer control on device and radio, but i dont see this happening) wirelessly. One huge plus to me is that you can charge it while keeping fully functionality with only one cable.
I cant find a cable with anything other than volume controls, but I wonder if either of these options would help

I've been using a BT Venturi Mini for about a year now and it works perfect. You can change streamed track/ stop start and it has no wires. So no mess, best investment ever. Plus, you can pick up calls/ voicemail via car stereo too.
Sound quality excellent, especially when you increase BT pool bitrate via HD2 tweak.
Perhaps if someone modded the headphones that come with the HD2 so that they go from 3.5 to 3.5 with the controls in the middle of the wire to use ?
I have a Jabra Clipper audio player to play my MP3's & streaming internet radio to my car stereo via 3.5mm jack. I also have my Moto BT headset that I use.
When I get a call the music is interrupted and I can answer the call with the Jabra Clipper and I can hear the call audio through the car speakers. The problem is my microphone on my phone is too far away on my car dock and people can't hear me.
So after answering the call I would have to go to settings, wireless, bluetooth and disconnect the Jabra and connect my Moto headset before I can take the call.
This is a pain and takes too long, is there a widget to swap paired BT devices? I cannot find anything in the marketplace.
Maybe a Tasker profile? I have Tasker but I haven't gotten any profiles to work yet.
I have a Droid X running Liberty 1.5.
Thanks.
I don't know if this will help, but can you not have both items paired and connected at the same time? My car has bluetooth for my phone for talk only, and I just added a Tunelink device to stream my music by bluetooth in the car. I've noticed when I get in the car that both will be paired, but only the car will be connected. So I have added a bluetooth widget to my homescreen, when I get in the car I will click on the widget that opens up the bluetooth settings and click on the Tunelink to connect it, from then on out both items are connected AND paired and both will work with no problems.
I initially had the HTC settings > Bluetooth shortcut, but then when Widgetsoid added the capability to choose bluetooth settings I changed to that.

Nice! I have a Jabra Clipper too! I say that because I have not seen anyone else with one yet lol.
Ever since I switched to CM7 I have been able to 1-touch enable/disable Bluetooth and Wifi among 10 other optional, additional buttons via the status bar. I hope this bar never goes away in future updates! Anywho you could check that out for managing your bluetooth connection quickly and efficiently.
All I can say in addition to that is clicking on individual bluetooth devices in the menu allows you to disable specifically phone / media audio. You could try disabling one or the other for one of your devices so that they both work independently. I'm not really sure how else to help you because of the unique situation.
Your best bet is to make your setup less complicated, by not using one or the other device, but I saved that one for last because it isn't what you're looking to accomplish.

I use Widgetsoid but I haven't tried 2, I set up a shortcut to BT settings on my widget so far. I'll try the new version and see if it works out. Thanks.

Prior to the upgrade last week, the widget would only turn bluetooth on or off. With the update last week it added the option to have it open up the bluetooth (or wifi) options. This isn't automatic, you have to choose for it to do this in the options.
I don't know maybe the phone won't automatically connect with two items at once. It's a hassle to connect each time, but after the initial connection everything runs smoothly.
I downloaded Widetoid 2 and loaded it, now I have an BT settings icon on my switcher.
I managed to figure it out without he use of a widget, under my bluetooth settings I selected my Jabra Clipper and unchecked phone audio. Now I can connect my Clipper as media audio and my BT headset at phone audio at the same time. Now when I get a call the audio switches from the Clipper to the BT headset.
Thanks for your help.
An amazing One click - Connect 2 Specific Bluetooth device for A2DP and Phone app:
Bluetooth Pair
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gnssoftworks.bluetoothpair
found it very useful for swapping bluetooth headphones between devices WITHOUT turning off Bluetooth entirely or going into the settings menu.
Example Use Case:
I have one Stereo Bluetooth headset with mic (two profiles - phone and A2DP audio)
I have one Android Phone and one Android Tablet.
Phone Profile is always connected to the Android Phone, but the A2DP audio changes depending on which device you want to listen to music from.
Normally, if you want to listen to audio from the Tablet when your headset's A2DP profile is connected to the phone, you'd have to first go to the settings menu of the phone, and disconnect the A2DP, leaving Phone Profile connected. Then go to the settings menu on your tablet and connect the A2DP only.
Then you'd have to do the opposite if you want to listen to audio from the Phone again.
Takes a long time.
With Bluetooth Pair, you can specifically connect or disconnect to a specific device and specific profile (phone / a2dp) by widgets.
So you won't have to turn off the bluetooth completely on one device just to allow your headset to connect another device. Nor do you need to go into settings anymore.
1.) Just tap on the A2DP device specific widget on the phone to disconnect, the A2DP Profile from the phone
2.) go to the Tablet, and tap on the A2DP device specific widget to connect the A2DP profile of the headset to the Tablet
Two taps!
You saved me From buying a new stereo!

Thanks a ton! This $1.50 app saved me from having to purchase a new stereo!
Just to let you know, this solved the exact problem I was having, over five years later! Thanks!

Headphone Connect - One Click Audio is a really simple app that let's you connect / disconnect to your desired bluetooth headset.
You find it in the play store if you search for "Headphone connect - one click audio"
I realize this is an old post, but I recently released an app called ShortTooth: create customized single-click shortcuts to connect to any paired Bluetooth device.
I use it to disconnect from my home stereo when I get into the car (parked close enough to still be paired), and reconnect to my home stereo when I get back.
You could use it to create two shortcuts:
* Toggle Jabra
* Toggle Moto
Or you can create two rows:
* Connect Jabra | Discconnect Jabra
* Connect Moto | Discconnect Moto
It has a free 14-day trial.
So I got the Thunderbolt on release day and the first thing I tried when leaving the store was syncing to my 2011 VW Tiguan. It did sync fine with the phone (handsfree) and phonebook. I was using it without issue until I decided the other day to try streaming media to the radio. Both devices showed that the mediastreaming was paired as well as the headset.
Long story short... it didnt work. No audio was streamed thru the connection. OK so fine. Except now when I connect the phone to the car it first connects the headset and the media streaming profiles and then disconnects the headset. It will not reconnect at all now. (Actually it says that it is paired but disconnected)
I deleted everything and tried to re-pair it to no effect. I changed the phones name as well. I have tried a battery pull from the phone but it will no longer connect the headset profile to the car or download the phonebook.
**UPDATE**
I was able to pair it and use my jawbone headset. Would still like to get the speaker phone working.
Any thoughts? Im in the car for many hours per day and this is going to make me crazy.
I have the Jawbone Jambox Big and love it
I listen to music via bluetooth
I also have awesome Desktop speakers, the Logitech Z2300's
I bought the jawbone bluetooth adaptor today for my computer because it is not bluetooth.
I wanted to connect them both the same time and maybe have my logitech speakers playing in one room, with the Jambox in the other or even the same room other side
I can pair them both...no problem
I can even connect them both...no problem
But If the computer is connected for music, the Jawbone has two options, phone and media, then it switches to phone
If I switch it to media/music, the computer switches to media or file transfer or something like that
Is there a way to connect both two my GS3 as I am BUT play music thru two sets of speakers
Thanks very much
