There doesn't seem to be an option to download the offline voice recognition packages in HTC Desire X Jelly Bean update. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks.

Thanks for replying Xpirt, Can you point to some? Also how do you apply the Zip since there is no option in the settings itself.

Hehe, Thanks for the guide but I had already read that one yesterday!
It says scroll down and select download the offline files but there is no option to download the files. Also read somewhere else that Google removed that option in the latest Google Search Update so I tried uninstalling the updates and checked, Still the same.
I will keep trying and post if I get any success!
Thanks anyways man!

Yes, It says the same method and that is if you have that option enabled, I have searched a lot and read almost every guide that comes up in Google. Found that there are many other people on other devices too that have this problem.

Try this apk: http://hczyzk.1fichier.com/en/
It's an older Google Voice that Offline works, I think.
Or this guide:
How-To for Working Offline Recognition:
-go to mnt/sdcard/Android/system/usr/srec with Root Explorer (or a File-explorer that can link Folders)
-long press on en-US (or the Voice you've donwnload) folder and choose to link it
-go to system/usr/srec and link the folder here
-after u restart the phone it work!

I tried both but doesn't work.
Researched a lot more and found this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173381 the OP seems to have got it working by downloading the package files and using them in the folder, Tried that too but still no use.
Do you know any source to get the Language files? Like a direct download link from Google?

Hi,
I also faced this issue but now its resolved. To resolve this issue
1. go to settings->language and keyboard->
2. change the system language to english US and reboot.
3. after reboot change the voice search option to english us
now the offline voice search works but it sucks.

Still didn't work for me. The Google Typing option is greyed out and set to Automatic.
Did you reboot the device after changing the system language to English US ?

Which is the more recent version?
Looks the same to me. If this one stays in the market (unlike the last), that might be a better option for people who want it via .apk and not via flashing.
Does it support gesture typing in non-English languages like Dutch?

If you already have LatinIME or GoogleLatinIME you may have to delete it and move the new one and fix permissions and reboot.

Wouldn't that be a question for a thread/section that actually has something to do with your setup?

I think we was talking about 4.2 Keyboard, this is not a question about my setup (i put my config parameters for help to understand my situation), this is a question about the android 4.2 keyboard, I told about the xperia S if one has an idea about it, but if that's any inconvenience, sorry for the question if inappropiate.

you could try to extract the app from a Samsung rom or use the search function , I remember there is a threat with all the apps to download.
not sure if it will work as it might as well require the Samsung framework.
---edit: 5 seconds search: Link (though for the AT&T SIII, give it a try)

if it needs the Samsung framework (which I think it does), then no, if it does not need it, then yes. You could try it yourself, download the apk, install and see if it gives a FC.
[XPOSED] BLUETOOTH TOOLKIT
Thanks to Bluetooth ToolKit you can receive any file via bluetooth, choose how to be notified when you receive a file, Materialize different parts forgotten by Google... All this in an adorable and sugary graphic! (now 2.0!)
All changes are on-the-go, and don't require reboots.
You need to make a small in-app purchase to unlock all the functions.
Some features:
Receive any file type through bluetooth, with total control. Even files without any extension!
Decide in what way you will be notified when there is an incoming file
Open the list of files after reception
Set the discovery timeout to infinite (only for old devices)
And more to come...
FAQ:
Which Android versions are supported?
Android 4.0 to 11 (12 to be tested but should work)
What is Xposed, EdXposed and LSPosed? Which one should I use?
I strongly suggest to use LSPosed if you can. It is very well made and directly tested by me, if you have an old device you can use the original XPosed. EdXposed should work too.
I beg you to accept my translation!
Sorry but I don't accept community translations anymore, anyway a big thanks to all the original translators that you can always find in the "info" section of the app
Available languages:
English
Italian
Screenshots:
You can find them on the store!
Notes:
The app is also available on the old XPosed repo and the new LSPosed one.
Starting with version 2.6 the old unlocker is deprecated and doesn't unlock the app anymore. But don't worry! You can apply for a free code here.

If you want ALL the files you can check the first checkbox, for more accuracy you can select what you want in the list.

Does it support 4.4.4? Because I installed it but it's not visible in drawer, yet it's present in installed apps.
