So, as of recently, I can hear an occasional tick from my phone whenever I'm doing certain things, especially moving around files, and such. What can this mean?

The only "tick" I've ever heard is when using my camera. I can't imagine being able to hear any noise from the CPU/GPU.

I've heard it when I use custom kernels like arc reactor. It goes away if you disable the touch sound from sound settings.

Weird
Your ears must be much better than mine:thumbup:
Too much jet noise and gunfire over the years, I suppose

I'm always on Arc, so I can agree...partially. I don't have touch sounds selected, however. My audio is pretty quiet, so I know that the tick doesn't belong.

Mine would happen if increased the headphone gain from the sound control in init.d.

Has anyone figured out how to make this app work on miui? I live in a area where my data speed is horrible and while I'm at home I would love some faster speeds.

I'm running the latest MIUI and I use that app everyday at work and it works perfectly...how is it not working for you?
Sent from my MIUI'd 3VO (Finally switched)
Not sure. I selected htc and rooted aosp and selected reboot and nothing. What's your settings?
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D using xda premium
I would have to reboot and then hit «roam only» twice for it to take then the roaming triangle would show in the notification bar.
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D using xda premium
Well I'm glad it's working for at least some people...that's what I'd expect. I will say that it's not a perfect science with AOSP roms...I'll continue to look into this. Thanks!
I'm using the sane settings as you...what is it doing when you select roam?

I've tried those and still nothing

Can you check the contents of the log file in the about tab? This might explain what is happening.
I'm not calling anyone out, but be aware that pirated versions of the app will not work. It may not give you an error code, but it's not doing anything.
I just don't want the app to get a bad rep because it's "not working"
So, I was wondering if it is possible, through an app or a specific mod for a ROM, to change every sound. Like having specific sounds for when people text you, or the sound it makes when your battery is low or when you are roaming. I flashed to d3rpICS Bareback DM5.1, if that helps at all.
I've already looked on GooglePlay to see if there is an app that does that, but all i find is soundboards and stuff.
Yes, you can change almost every sound up to a point

I know, but I was wondering if there is an app that lets me do more. I figure I need to download a texting app to change the sounds of incoming texts from certain people, so I'll look into that. I mostly want to be able to change the roaming and low battery sound.
No app as far as I know but you can manual change them if you are rooted. Just to make it a little easier, you can change every contact to a custom ringtone, emails and text no, you only have one choice

I am indeed rooted, hboot 1.5 unlocked S-OFF. I'll give it a look, unless i have to go into the system files and whatnot.
Your sound files are found under system/media/audio
Also you will have to change the build prop too

build prop? I have no idea what that means, haha.
You, will only be able to change contacts that call you, when you mess with system files it's a different situation, basically the build prop is the main settings for the phone written in xml file

So I dial.out once EVO LTE rings it rings directly from the speakerphone
Is this normal or a way to change it in settings
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
I really can't understand what you said. Clarify please?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Simple...
Every time I make a normal call as soon as the person or whomever answers I can hear them on speaker phone
I look down on the dialer screen and it auto enables The rear speaker
Ifl I click it off call goes to Normal ear speaker
This happens every time I call anyone
And no I am not enabling speakerp phone prior to dialing
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Well in this case, I have no idea but I can tell you that is NOT the normal, stock behavior of this phone. Are you rooted, and do have any custom ROMs installed?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
No everything works fine elsewise
Brand new phone
Strangest sh** I've ever seen
Annoying to
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Weird. I've personally never seen a setting for that behavior. I'd bring it to Sprint of no one on here knows. They will either show you the way to change it, or replace it for you.
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Are you flipping your phone face down after dialing? Because doing that automatically turns on speakerphone.
Does anyone else notice the odd sound the HTC One uses when touch sounds are enabled. Not sure if the default sound is supposed to sound like a faint glass tap so wanted to get anyone's feedback. What does your touch sound sound like?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Yes mine is the same.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
Perhaps it's the standard sound. Kind of a strange selection, don't you think?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I actually enjoy the touch sounds.. I've been through many phones and this is the only phone with which I have left that option on.

It seems that the popping sound only happens on sense roms. It didn't happen when I was on aosp. Has anyone found a fix yet?

Sense ROM + Beats Audio= popping sounds.
AOSP+ no Beats Audio support = no popping.
What I'm trying to get at, it's a Beats Audio issue not a sense issue

More importantly its not a hardware issue.
