cm 7.1 alpha 3 infinite loop - HTC EVO 3D

Hi
Unlocked (JuopunutBear)
Shooter S-OFF
HBOOT-1.58.5858
RADIO-1.09.00.0108
Boot to recovery
Wipe system, boot, data, cache, dalvik
Installed cyanogen_shooter-ota-eng.toastcfh.zip
Reboot
It goes to the cyanogen logo going around and around then reboots. Sometimes I even get to see the lock-screen for a second before it reboots. I've tried wiping data/cache again from the recovery, I've tried installing unofficial versions 9 and 10, nothing works. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Okay it seems that I can't flash any custom rom. Only stock works. I have jbear hboot, is there anyway to rollback hboot without bricking my phone?

Boot into fast boot and then do a HTC relock. Download the ruu for your software version and run it. All in boot loader. That'll put your back to stock.

unless you achieve s-off you will need to separately flash the kernel for that ICS based ROM. You can flash the kernel manually using fastboot from a computer
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
or you can use a kernel flasher or you could use 4ext recovery (just make sure you select that you have S-ON when it asks).
I highly recommend 4ext recovery. Once you try it you wont go back

Stuck In Bootloader

So I wanted CM 10 on my phone, I used Flash GUI app, and flashed and tried flashing it through twrp. It reset, somethings didnt install properly couldn't catch what it didnt install. I read some misinformation online (or misinterpretation on my part) and wiped cache + davlik data. So now when I restart it goes to HTC screen then a black screen. I can still access bootloader, but I don't have a recovery file now to go off from or have no idea where to go from
I have HBOOT 1.15 with S-ON, 1.22.651.3, any ideas, or suggestions?
The kernel install didnt take. I'd highly suggest doing it via fastboot and not the app.

[q] please help- virgin mobile evo v 4g stuck in bootloop

I have an evo v 4g on virgin mobile, which is an evo 3D. I had rooted the device and installed the midnight rom. All was well and eventuallly I got bored of that rom and decided to switch to the stock rom. Everything was still fine. Then I decided to install the "king kang" rom. I didn't read the tutorial very well. It warned me not to install if I was on HBOOT 1.5. Turns out I was and I got stuck in a boot loop. I was able to boot into fastboot and then enter teamwin recovery. I attempted to wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wipe all (factory reset), and then flashing the stock rom again. No luck. Still had a bootloop, only now it shows the virgin mobile logo until it restarts. I have also tried doing the wipes and then restoring from the backup I made before installing any roms. Can someone please help me figure this out? I am S-ON and have HBOOT 1.57.
Think you might have to flash the stock kernel after returning to stick ROM, at least I did it to fix a bootloop.

You'll have to flash boot.img through adb with fastboot commands.

Could you give me a list of steps I need to complete for me to do this? I've tried doing my research but it didn't help. Wouldn't flashing the stock rom automatically flash the stock kernel?

[Q] Bootloop on JB ROM Flash

Hello. I am rather new to the Evo 3D. I just finally got it HTCDev unlocked, and it is still S-OFF. I am on h-boot 1.50. I tried using 4EXT recovery to flash both Dirty Unicorns and PACman, but both result in infinite bootloop. I have tried wiping everything: cache, data, and dalvik. I tried from both TWRP (loading it from fastboot) and 4EXT, both with and without Google Apps. Any ideas how to help?

Your Hboot is the problem. Downgrade to 1.49.0007 and you're good to go

How can I do that? I haven't found any resources for it. I can downgrade to 1.40, but that breaks fastboot when I do it. Should I try an older RUU?

Here is hboot 1.40 Download
download it and rename it to PG86IMG place it on the root of your SD card and reboot into bootloader (holden power + voldown)
It will load it self and say upgrade hboot just follow instructions on screen from there.
That should then the JB room to boot if it keeps bootlooping wipe data factory reset one more time.
*After your done with it delete the file from the SD card using a file explorer or by mounting the SD card to your PC so that when you need to use recovery it doesnt load it self again.

Thanks, but I already solved it. While downgraded to 1.40, I flashed the 2.08 PG86IMG. From there I simply used the wire-trick to get S-OFF, flashed the Revolutionary 1.40 hboot, and now enjoy PACman.

[Q] Cant boot any rom

I am have some issues booting any rom, i hav an unlocked bootloader, hboot 1.93.0003, emmc-boot and s-off with cwm touch recovery. I have tried with both speedrom and android revolution roms. They both instaled but they never boot up pass their boot animation screen, plz help
1st flash 4ext touch recovery using hasoon's AIO toolkit for amaze.
2) wipe /format
- wipe chache + delvik cache.
- wipe all partitions ( except sdcard )
3) install from zip.
- choose file to flash.
And then your Rom will work fine...
Hit thanks if I helped you !!!:thumbup:

Greetings from Florida,
Don't use Clockworkmod recovery, it's bad.
Use Hasoon's toolkit to flash 4ext. It's much better.
You also need to be Super CID and have the ICS firmware installed.
Once you have that settled, go into 4ext recovery by either holding volume down and power, and choosing recovery, or reboot from hasoon's toolkit's menu.
Choose format all partitions and then flash either ARHD or SpeedRom. I also made some Roms that you might want to try out.
Please press thanks if this helps.
Best regards.
Wipe that sucker!
Then update to ics!
Then do everything you did, all over again.
