[Q] market problems

(solved) ok ive posted this once before amd didnt get a single hit on it...i cant seem to buy apps on the market ever since i changed from orig stock vibrant rom ,ive tried 3 roms now,axura,nero3,and now nero4 and still i cannot buy apps,,when i try all i get is "server error occured try again or cancel, and yes ive tried & tried again. has anyone else has this problem? any ideas on how to fix? ive tried alot of things but to no avail.
after much searching the internet both on and off this site i found the solution,,,very simple....i wasnt signing back into the marked the the same gmail account i orig. opened it in when i first bought the phone, what a bother
So im havng pretty much the same problem but a little different, i cant download any apps it says the download starting but never actually does.. and the notification on top never shows up when you click on my apps it like in a state of starting to download, but obviously doesnt, now this maybe my fault prob my stupidity i rooted my vibrant and deleted some default apps that what prob is my problem, so is there anyway i can restore to original? tyvm
Same here it started off with me not being able to buy adw ex. now none of the paid apps in the market. I've flashed, odined back to stock, did all the suggestions i've read about in the forums still the same error message.
I had this issue as well with paid apps. I went to google checkout, updated payment information and made sure it was associated with my google account. After this was done i've had no problems whatsoever. Hope this helps..

market apps not showing

just started getting this when i got to my market, press menu, my apps. anyone have this problem or know how to fix. i have tried clear cache, clear data, reinstall rom, everything i can think of. thanks for the help guys.
It might be Juice Defender blocking it.
i will give that a try, been using juice defender for awhile and this just started.
That started happening to me a few weeks ago. I was on Unnamed for a long while before it happened. Now it's happening on each rom I flash after a day or two. Not sure why, haven't really looked into it yet because it doesn't really annoy me. Yet. Just confirming that you are not the only one.
I also have tried different rims. Tried unnamed, icscrewed, and currently running turkbey v32 hellraised with DD 010212. All was good then it just started. Atleast I know its not just me.
Searching (not just i777 forums and XDA) will show you that this may be an Android/Google problem. Several possibilities:
1. you restored from Titanium backup - this breaks my market links every time.
2. you've flashed enough ROMs that your Google account is overloaded - it apparently doesn't "unlink" phone from apps from install version and after a certain point, it won't associate your phone to your apps any more. I suspect this is part of why restoring from TiBu breaks the links. And TiBu's "restore market links" does not seem to help. This has been reported to Google (not by me - more than a year's worth of people at this point) and they apparently don't care.
3. Just the general "market links disappeared" bug. It happens to people on stock, too.
You can create a new Gmail account and relink all the apps to that, but I don't like that as a solution. If anyone else knows more, please chime in!
thanks alacrify, hoping it can get resolved. without app showing i dont know when there are any updates.

I use AppBrain to keep an eye on things - it runs about a day late, but if you didn't have it at all, how would you know?
i will have to give that a try. guess no fix until google does something by the sounds then.
tried a bunch of things found in other threads on the site and nothing seems to work. anyone else have any suggestions

Phone freezing and randomly rebooting

I know there has been a few threads about this but I kind of know the reason to my problem but I'd like it resolved.
It's caused by an application from the GO Launcher EX people, Go Battery & Power Widget.
So, I know this is APP specific but I'm figuring that it's also phone specific as I don't see anyone else having this problem in specific with it in the past few months or updates. Last was march.
It worked just fine up until yesterday when it started freezing the phone with the screen on and the plastic LED thing underneath the menu buttons on my Xperia U, if it doesn't freeze it randomly reboots whenever it feels like it and I'm quite positive this will in the long run harm my battery, I might just be paranoid but I think that it has affected or overloaded a few of the LEDs inside of the screen I can now find 3 dead pixels, I know that ain't much but it's kind of annoying as you may guess.
So, anyone know what I could do to solve this issue without removing the program or if it's a compatibility issue with something else, any help at all would be swell - I would remove it if it were not for the fact that when it did work that it saved my battery quite dramatically.
Thanks in advance and thanks for reading my wall of text.

I just recently re-flashed my phone due to an annoying "update available" issue that wasn't removable, forcing me to create a backup, which I just now restored into the phone (It doesn't appear to be there now but the issue persist so now I'm confused as to what might be causing it)
Once again, I'd really like this resolved rather than factory reseting the phone and then start to re-fill it again.
Not quite counting the freezes and reboots, but it's well over 50 just today.
Hmm as u said that the problem existed even without go launcher so try logging when the screen freezes... We might see the problem there... Anyways I know you said you don't want to factory reset and stuff... But 50 above is harmful so I think flashing stock is a good idea
Cheers,
AJ
Have you tried removing the app itself to see that it stops freezes?
If so, then it is clear the app causes the problems. Then you should contact the developers of it, they shall have an email on google play.
If not, then I suggest you to go for a logcat and try to figure out what is the cause Sounds really weird and a stock reflash (without restore) seems to be the solution for me

I decided to re-flash it, went well and it's feeling healthier.
The problem was Xprivacy.

I had some freezing issues even without it, but I mucked about and re-flashed and now it feels better, but I'm still sure it was Xprivacy. Don't know why though.

[SOLVED!] Wrong password for Google account

Hello there!
Well, I installed MiniCM7 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415026) on my X10 mini pro device earlier this week (every requirement is/was met) and I loved it. It's really fast! I can customize almost anything! So I did it. But, after all that process, I remembered I had to sign in to my Google account. So I opened the Market app and tried to log in. No way! It always tells me that my password is wrong! But it's not! (I logged in with the browser and it worked...). So I cleared all the possible caches, cleared dalvik-cache, did a factory reset, reflashed ROM and gapps, tried other 4 or 5 MiniCM7-based ROMs and all of them simply don't allow me to sign in to my Google account!
Anyone has any idea about how to fix this? I really didn't find anything. Pretty strange! It can't be only with me lol. Right now I'm using MiniCM9 because I couldn't left my device without a ROM, and my Google account works fine on it, but the system in general is way more laggy ;x
By the way, sorry if this is already answered in any other place but I really really searched a lot and couldn't find anything similar ;/
No one? ;/
SOLVED!
You guys won't believe it! -.-
It was not a bug, neither an error. It was just me that had 2-step verification enabled and I forgot that to login on older Android versions I should use app-specific passwords instead of my Google account password. What a shame!
I spent so much time on it and it was just my memory that screwed me up haha

[Q] Problems with account on Google Backend?

Hey everyone,
Hoping someone can help. I am actually reaching out for a friend who is weird about reaching out for help.
So, he has a Galaxy S4 phone (Verizon) and a 2012 Nexus 7. On both devices his Hangouts app keeps crashing on him. He has tried wiping/factory resetting both devices and the problem persists. The odd thing is, if he signs into the devices with a different google account the crashes don't happen. This leads him to believe it might actually be a problem with something on the google servers with his account.
Has anyone heard of this happening? Any thoughts on how to fix the issue?
Thank you!
