Have you tried to reinstall the firmware using SE Updater?
Reflashed the system.
Thanks man.
OMG ! I didn't see this thread earlier installed this crap the same and now I am reflashing.
Somehow I messed up my stock browser. I upgraded the stock browser with GSG tools and now its FC’ing on me. It aint working on bionix v 1.3.1 anymore…. Is there a way I can reinstall a fresh copy of stock browser.
While searching, I found system dump for vibrant posted by wesgarner
HERE
I pulled the browser.apk file and installed the stock browser. It installed correctly but Now I cant find it on my phone. There is also a browser.odex file. Im wondering If I need to install that too in order for stock browser to work. Im a noob and not so technicaly
Can someone help me on this.. thanks...
p.s
Just flashed bionix V 1.3.1 and I don’t wanna flash it one more time. Because I just spent a lot of time restoring my home screens and other settings manually.
Would appreciate it much.
use root explorer to push the apk to /system/app then use it to set permissions to whatever the permissions are on the other apps there

Pushed browser.apk to system> app using root explorer, then used rom manager to fix permissions, rebooted.......it still isn't working! :-(
Sent from my Samsung Vibrant (Bionix-V 1.2.1) using XDA Premium app
Open root expolrer long press browser.apk and then click permissions and check all under boxes under read (the collum to the left) and the very top box under write. uncheck all the other boxes it should look like a knight's move in chess. Then reboot
If that doesn't work work extract the browser.apk from the bionix zip it should be under /system/app and do the same thing
If that doesn't work then the only thing I can think of is to install a 3rd party browser or reflash

I've just tested it on my X10-mini CM6-1.0.2, and AFTER a reboot, it work perfectly!

It's working, but sometimes it fc (miniclip.com --> first game) on MiniCM7-2.0.3
impressive. it's really a good new.
it works on MiniCM7 (i'm using 2.3.4 Gingerbread Remix10 XL v3.3)
thank
Is it a stand alone player or just a browser plugin??
I'm on MiniCM 1.0.2 installed your posted adobe flash player and a swf player apk, but cannot run a swf file.. so what did I do wrong??
you should try Gingerbread because it won't work on Froyo
Just installed on MiniCM 6 v1.0.1 (Froyo) and it's working
Just install the apk and reboot phone, no need to install anything else
The only problem: not working with opera mini
Worked for me, but weighs a lot and lock the navigation! Uninstalled!
Using MiniCM7 2.0.3.
Works fine as a basic browser plug in (stock or skyfire). Nice to see.
Games (mini-clip) and video crash. Skyfire handles video fine on its own anyway.
Doesn't work by me on stock, Skyfire and Dolphin Mini browsers - sites with flash videos on them either only load and get stuck on loading, or the Dolphin browser even restarts itself when I try to play video on it.
I'm running it on Xperia X10 Mini with CM6-1.0.2 on it.
Nice attempt, but it seems there is a lot of work to make it working on ArmV6!
Can't get it to works on my phone..
But these files are work: http://www.4shared.com/folder/KzLl7sQT/Flash_keur_x10_mini.html
It's pumakkiotto's methode:
- put the lib files in system/lib, all chmod 644
- install the apk
- restart, and now you have stand-alone flash player

Hi moedjs,
Do we need to copy everything?
- system/lib/libflashlite_jni.so (644)
- system/lib/libflashlitepackage.so (644)
- system/lib/libflashliteplugin.so (644)
- system/app/FlashPlugin.apk (644)
- system/app/FlashSVGPlayer.apk (644)
Thanks
Sry for the stupid question, guys, but what's that 644? Number of permissions or what? And when it is permissions, how do we give them in Root Explorer?
Thanks for the info and for sharing the files!
PS: DanielFran, nope, u need to copy only the lib files, the .apk files are installation files, that should be opened in the installation manager.
Half works, it runs on my Mini (MiniCM7 2.0.3) but it tends to cause reboots.

644 permissions is the most basic ones you'll ever come across. It means RW, R, R ( Read-Write, Read, Read), like this:
XXO
XOO
XOO
Where the X is a marked/ticked box.
I've tested with CineX (Streaming for TV-Shows, based on FlowPlayer). And sometimes a stream starts. But i'ts very unstable and slow.
But a great progress so far!
moedjs, that player also doesn't work by me on X10 Mini CM6! Sites with flash video content say I need flash player to view the movie.
Nice to hear that
Working on minicm 6! yeay!
Sent from my X10mini using XDA App
well, it depends on how you define "work"... xD

Yeah, definitely! If the lack of the warning message in sites with video content "U need flash player to play video" can be called "working", the constantly crushing browser while loading the video says NOT WORKING AT ALL!!!

Hey!! maybe you already solved this but AFAIK the only solution is reinstalling android... nevertheless you can download Dolphin which is better than android stock browser... and if you are having trouble with other applications like voice recognition that needs browser.apk you can do the following:
1. Download Dolphin but do not install.
2. Go to your /sdcard/downloads folder and rename the Dolphin aplication you downloaded as "Browser.apk"
3. Copy it and paste at /system/app
4. Reboot and enjoy!
PS: you must get root in order to do this.

It's not the only solution
He's doing something wrong, OP did you do this:
1. Copy browser.apk to /system and set permission to 655 and move to /system/app
2. reboot
Or do the following commands in ADB:
1. adb remount
2. adb push browser.apk system/app
3. adb shell chmod 655 system/app/browser.apk
And if you get FC's try to fix permissions in CWM
Has anyone tried to reinstall the stock asus Keyboard app?
I know it's the "keyboard.apk".
I tried to install it via root explorer by moving it to /system/app then giving it all permissions and rebooting. But it still won't show up.
Any ideas?
The stock keyboard isn't inside Keyboard.apk; that only contains the shortcuts for the Asus dock keys. The Asus Keyboard is inside XT9IME.apk.
**Edit**
Never mind I found it on this old post. You need these files:
Needed for software keyboard:
XT9IME.apk
/system/lib/libjni_xt9input.so
/system/lib/libjni_xt9kcm.so
/system/usr/xt9
I yanked these out of the revolver rom and put them in place with root explorer.
Now I'm good to go. Thanks agentdr8.

I know this is an old post, but it's the only thread where I found someone was able to successfully install the Asus keyboard on a custom ROM. I have the files you listed, but I'm unable to copy them to the required folders. I tried with a regular file explorer as well as a root explorer. I am running CM10.1, rooted of course.

So I found another thread which included a file called asus_keyboard.zip which I simply needed to download and install from recovery mode, but after doing that when I select the Asus Keyboard I just keep getting the error message "Unfortunately Asus Keyboard has stopped". And it keeps popping up every 2 seconds until I disable it. Any ideas?
Here's where I found it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542502&highlight=keyboard
