Hello all,
my mom just got a Galaxy express i8730. Before that, she had a Desire HD with custom rom which had many different smileys (yellow ones). Is it possible to get these with standard texting app. and Samsung input method? I tried sending a smiley from my phone (Lumia 920 which has yellow ones), but they simply turn into these 8-bit looking black "android smileys" on her phone. She wants the yellow ones...
Installing a seperate app. doesnt really help since it usually requires the other end to also have the app. to be able to see the smileys.

Hello everyone,
My fiancee is running an aokp jelly bean rom on her sg2 att. Now here is the question. She really likes the rom but .... go figure...she likes the text messaging in the original the best. She liked how her sent messages where in a blue bubble
(the text in the conversation) and the response was in a yellow bubble if you follow my drift. How would i go about chaning that. Would I just have to find the messaging apk and remove it. Than install with another. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!
Try Handcent in the Play Store. You can make your messages look ANY WAY you want.
Sent from one bad ass, highly modified, Samsung Galaxy Note using the BEST in mobile apps, XDA-Developers!
Hey everyone,
So I'm on stock, rooted Android 4.3 on my Verizon Note II. I'm having an issue with the Samsung keyboard - when I try to use a special character (!, @, #, etc.) I often accidentally choose the accented/foreign one instead. This happens a lot and it's very annoying.
I noticed these steps somebody posted for the Note 3, but it looks like it will remove the special and accented characters.
Is there a way to just remove the accented ones?
Thanks!

By default android only supports google or other android makers emojis like samsung, htc etc so it cannot "see" BB ones and only a select few ios ones.
Change to a messaging app that supports other emojis eg I use gosms pro (even though its free) as it supports something like over 800 emojis (including displaying ios ones)

I hope somebody know what's the problem and could tell me
Thanks
I recently purchased HDC S5 Spark for my brother. I am having the exact same issue as you. White text on white background. Another issue I have is the caller ID picture does not show when I dial and receive calls at all. Any idea?
