First update your system to 4.1.2 .
Then after update for root alone you should take a look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2116549
Download it and install zip through stock recovery (power+vol up+home when booting)
Search. Guides/tutorials stickied near the top of the General section. If you're having trouble with this, I recommend you leave your phone stock. This is the most often asked question here & has been answered tens of thousands of times, your situation is not unique & doesn't warrant this info being regurgitated for the Nth time especially for you.
update to 4.1.2 jellybean

Maybe you shouldn't ignore the posts you didn't like because they told you to search and read by yourself.
Like said above me: this question has been asked too many times, and the answers are already here on XDA.
Search on xda bro

Hi there,
- Have you tried to get to the Download mode ?
- Have you a JIG ?
- If so, just use ODIN to flash a proper stock ROM.
Yes, pick the laest official ROM from here for ODIN flash : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487

Why did you use a method from outside of XDA? When you posted here, I responded with google searches that would have only returned results from XDA. The first result for the root search (for me, anyway) should have been the root method for ICS that didn't involve flashing anything with Odin.

Can you please explain what do you mean ?
I'll very appreciate it if you could explain what you said
I am not sufficiently familiar with all Android device and the world.
1. CF-Root
2. install and use triangle away
3. Go into CWM recovery and wipe data/cache
4. Download ICS firmware for your region with checkfus
5. Flash the firmware with odin
6. Make sure you have the right CSC to receive future OTA updates.

1. Download the ICS firmware of your region
2. Flash it using Odin. Make sure re-partition checkbox is unchecked
3. Full Wipe - If it loops on the boot. Actually is does loop.
All the best

All Android 4.04 and 4.1 Stock Samsung ROMs can be rooted using the CF Root 6.4 method available in the Original Android Development Section.

Thank you! :good: I will try this right away!
You should also consider using CF-Auto Root if rooting is your only purpose or if you want to install a recovery by yourself
OP please search before posting. There is a ton of information on the forums, there is no need to create a thread asking something that is so widely available. It makes you appear too lazy to search and that will be looked down upon by more experienced members.

Hi, guys!
I just got myself a rooted Galaxy S2 and I wanted to get some tips and help
It´s rooted according to "Rootchecker"
My firmware:
Android 4.0.3
Baseband I9100XXLPQ
*version 3.0.15-I9100XWLPD-CL524746
How do I go about finding the official 4.1.2? I would like it to be pre-rooted. Is the versionnumber important?
I have tried KIES and OTA but it doesn´t find any updates... KIES tells me my handset is not supported.. :-/
Thanx for all help
Please have a (quick) search for the official JB-version, it isn't hard to find. Flash it with Odin, there are plenty of guides for it. However it won't be pre-rooted.

Yep, some devices still dont have an OTA for Jellybean. Just flash a 4.1.2 ROM in the developer thread for your GS2 and you are good to go. Always read before you flashing something.

Mate....you REALLY need to do some searching and reading before you touch your phone.
You ask for 4.2.2 firmware.....it doesn't exist....4.1.2 firmware is the newest.
You can get newer versions of android in custom ROMs.....but....
SEARCH READ UNDERSTAND LEARN......THEN AND ONLY THEN...DO......
some search suggestions.....
emmc brickbug
Odin flashing
kernel
Rooting
Firmware
custom ROM
Knowledge will help to prevent you from turning your S2 into an expensive paperweight. It's no good providing links unless you know/understand what you're doing......
