[Q] jelly bean upgrade - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys.
This is my first post on the forum. I have a p7500 that runs on a 3.1 platform. Looks like there is a Jelly Bean upgrade available for the tab. Most tutorials online speaks about manual upgrade using a SD card. I dont think the p7500 has a slot, at least mine doesnt have one. How do i upgrade to Jelly Bean? I am not a great techie and hence would be really grateful for step by step instructions. There doesnt seem to be an automatic software update available either. Look forward to your replies.
Best,
Abishek

There isn't an official jelly bean update for us. The latest one is ICS. If you want jelly bean, you have to flash a custom ROM like CyanogenMod or AOKP.

[Q] Jellybean 4.1.2 or 4.2.1

I'm sorry but i'm kinda new to the android world, and recently i've acquired a Samsung S2. But i'm having some troubles regarding some stuff.
I've noticed Jellybean has already a scheduled release to february in Singapore.
I know that ICS is android 4.0.
My question is, Jellybean is 4.1.2 or 4.2.1 ? im kinda confused tbh
Jelly bean is both its android 4.1 up android 4.1 was the first jelly bean and 4.2 is the next version with a widget lock screen and better clock and keyboard

You could have answered this very easily without any effort yourself without creating a topic.
Just from a simple google search of "Android jelly bean" the first result very clearly tells you that JB is Android 4.1

XDA rule #1 is search before creating a topic.
Also, there is 4.2.2 to be released

XT910 GSM - how to get the Jellybean?

Every Fastboot I've tried ends up bricking it and I'm back to square one.
I'm currently on 672.180.41.xt910.retail.en.EU and want to get to Jelly Bean so I can put a ROM with TouchWiz on it. It's an Australian Optus phone.
What's the first step towards getting there?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
im not sure what are you trying to do but if u want to instal jelly bean 4.1.2 in the motorola razr xt910 gsm you need to read this thread

[Q] Waiting for the stock Jelly Bean update?

You may have already heard of the impending JB update for your stock S2, that is, if you're the "stock guy". But don't you ever feel you want new Android earlier? Are you considering to "prison break" your Android? Get to the polls and share your thoughts.
PS: The jelly bean update has only surfaced on few carriers/regions. This post refers to jb update via Kies or OTA.
^^ "prison break" = modify(mainly rooting/flashing)
The jelly bean update is out its xxls8 have a look around open your eyes you may find it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113489 also this isn't an ipone you don't jail break/ prison break you root and I'm fairly sure that you can just install the stock jelly bean ROM from stock recovery without root
What's the point of this thread
Never ever without root!
Terrible. Totally useless thread. Please don't do this ever again.

[Q] Specific 4.2.1 official firmware help?

New to the site, watched the video and followed instructions and couldn't find a thread close to what I wish to do per sey.
So here is what I am trying to do.
Last October I had the Armageddon 4.2.1 ROM put on my S2 GT19100 and its been ok but I have a few problems with it like video recording and such and I have been waiting for the official 4.2.1 update to come out in the UK and it seems it has.
So I am not really all that savvy with rooting and such but I'd like to put the official 4.2.1 Firmware on my phone now and I could do with some comprehensive instructions on how to do so as in step by step.
Some help would REALLY be appreciated.
Thanks.
i think you are waiting for 4.1.2. 4.2.1 update is never announced for S2 by samsung!!!!!:silly:
if you want 4.2.1 go here CM10.1
but you have to do all that root business... or download Spain official 4.1.2 firmware from sammobile.com
4.1.2 and 4.2.1 both are different versions of Jelly Bean.
or the other unofficial (leaked version) - i think was Arg version of 4.1.2

[Q] Jelly Bean for Newsmy Newpad T3

Hello guys
I may be posting this question on the wrong forum, but not sure where to put it since Im new here.
I know my way around Windows and PC hardware, but Im an absolute noob regarding installing ROMs on an Android tablet.
Im have the Newsmy Newpad T3 android tablet, bought from LightInTheBox.com, but I would love to get Jelly Bean on it. It's currently running Ice Cream Sandwich, I think. Its Android 4.0.3, which is working nicely, but I know Jelly Bean is somewhat better. My device has, according to the app named "SysInfoTool". an ARMv7 Rev 0 (v71) CPU.
Now, does one own a Jelly Bean ROM for this device? Or able to help me make one/find one and especially: I need noob instruction on how to get it installed. It's not just like inserting the Windows disc into your drive and begin installing, which I've done many times, so this is really terra incognita for me.
Best regards,
Michael N. Petersen, Denmark.
