Final Version
Lumos version 1.0 FINAL
has been officially released.
Most notable new features:
- stability/performance fixes
- Relative Exceptions (see FAQ)
- exceptions that prevent device sleep
- support for simple command-line services (see FAQ)
- support for QVGA / HVGA displays
- fixed issues and detection of defective light sensors that never report 0
- automated handling of built-in auto backlight related issues (may require restart after installation to apply fix)
- some ability to identify missing HTC drivers and offer a solution
Please note you can freely update over RC2 version and keep most of your settings but you will lose all per-app exceptions due to compatibility problems.
Also note that some new features may appear in English as they are not yet translated. Fixed translations may be released in the future if there is demand.
Download the new version in first post.
FAQ is in second post and is being updated if you have any questions about the new features.
Thanks!
For me, Lumos the #1 app that helps me to save battery. I use this curve in my HTC Herman:
(the image was taken with my previous ROM, 6.5)
Unfortunately, when I try to configure the exeptions, I get an error and the program quits
(ROM energy last build WM6.5.x)
Best regards
insauser you should be proud to be the first to discover this bug.. even before I did (had to borrow a WM device as I have none with light sensor)
The crash only occured if you tried to add an exception with empty window name, I found no more bugs so I uploaded a fixed version just now. Basically I made it so that you can't use the ADD button before you fill a window/class name.
This seems like a frankly awesome application, but I have to ask, is there any possibility that it could be made to work with other drivers than HTC?
If you want to take that as your little personal project I am willing to share the source code and give maximum support. I have no (modern) WM device for testing as I dropped the flag and moved into the green robot world

=========================================================
Question:
By active display, does it function like the stock one (you pick up the phone and the screen will light up itself)?
My answer:
Yes, partially.
Pocket Mode works perfectly - I have tried many ROMs (Gummy, LiquidSmooth), but this has the best implementation of Active Display.
You need to check the settings.
Diplay will light up when:
- any notifications arrives,
- you pull it from the pocket,
- you move your hand about 5 cm above proximity sensor (upper part of the phone)
Motorola uses the gyroscope and proximity sensor, this AOSP Active Display uses only the proximity sensor.
(I need to say that no 3-rd party app can work like Motorola Active Display because it is somehow hard-coded in the framework and in my opinion in the kernel as well.)
Thanks. By active display, does it function like the stock one (you pick up the phone and the screen will light up itself)?
nice glad to see some more development
So what did you change from the original ROM? Anything?
Nice !! :good:

This "Active Display" hasn't got breathing option, only the redisplay notifications, and the minimum value is 1 minute (too much. Optimal is 4-5 sec), so this active display useless for me
Yes, it is what I wrote already = this free AOSP Active Display uses only the Proximity Sensor, not the Gyroscope like Motorola AD.

?? Gyroscope sensor and Breathe notifications option is two different things...Dynamic notifications program (Active Display clone) has breathe notification option, and doesn't use gyroscope sensor.
Video record just can set to CIF or QVGA,
Does any patch can fix it?
I'm going to try this. Keep it up, Dev.

So, would this not work for Verizon? I ask because my volume buttons don't work and if the ROM doesn't boot up I won't be able to get back into recovery. Haha

The active display doesn't work frequently, and I need to reboot to fix it. Maybe after the screen turn off automatically.
And I can't use head phone. There is no sound.

the stock rom has sensors such as flat_up, flat_down, stowed...
are those available on cm11 and/or this rom?
Great work man, keep it up

[AOSP/CM/HTC][LP-MM] Gesture Unlock with Custom Shortcuts
This Xposed module enables gesture unlock for Lollipop and Marshmallow devices . The gesture unlock is highly customizable, from changing colours to visibility, error messages, background, etc. You can even hide the emergency button.
What's more, you can use gestures to directly open specific shortcuts from the lockscreen, for example use U to unlock, W to open WhatsApp, M for email, etc. These shortcuts don't have to be just apps, they can be anything on your device, like Direct Dial, open a specific Contact, etc.
The module is pretty self explanatory, and will prompt you to set a pattern on the lock screen, because that is what it replaces. Other than that, there are no specific instructions to use it.
The only caveats are because of the way Xposed works.
A. Your gestures will be visible to any one or any app on your device. No root required.
B. You need root to restart the keyguard after changing the gesture full screen option. It is not mandatory, you could manually reboot if you require. All other changes will be reflect automatically, but not this one.
Download : http://repo.xposed.info/module/me.rijul.gestureunlock
Source code : https://github.com/Rijul-Ahuja/GestureUnlock/
Compatibility :
I personally test on CM13, and I will support CM12.0, CM12.1, AOSP 5.x and 6.0.x and derivatives. HTC support is limited unless I find a tester. Support for other OEM ROMs is absent beyond basic working functionality.

FAQ
My ROM already has gesture unlock, how is this better?
The module has a lot of customization options, like, gesture colours, gesture visibility, text visibility, show gesture correct or incorrect, show or hide emergency button and text, and even full screen gesture. You even launch custom shortcuts directly from the lock screen.
Does this work with screen off?
No, that is device specific and I can't implement it without having a device in hand, and even then, it is beyond my abilities.
Module does not work at all
Give me logcat, SystemUI.apk or any other lockscreen.apk which your device uses, I will try to implement it.
Some features, particularly emergency button related, do not work
Give me logcat, SystemUI.apk or any other lockscreen.apk which your device uses, I will try to fix it, but if it gets too difficult to manage because of your OEM ROM, it will not be done.
I am stuck on the lock screen, please help!
Long press the gesture view 3 times and draw a gesture. Your stock pattern will be restored.
CM / HTC / Xperia / TouchWiz support?
Works on some HTC, Xperia and TouchWiz devices and not all features work properly.
CM is supported before 20th June nightly I believe.

working well, thanks so much
Hi again. I disabled the knock code module as you said and it worked. However, i noticed that there's something wrong with the gesture entry. I feel like it's not working as it should. Sometimes the gesture gets recognised from the first attempt sometimes it requires multiple attempts. I don't know if it's something from my side but the gesture entry feels so laggy and not working properly.
Great work. One thing, it just feels a little slow.

Try reducing the minimum prediction score? I didn't face this at all. A little more information will do good.

Great work. One thing, it just feels a little slow.

What feels slow? Some things may lag because of the automatic preference reloader, try a reboot?

I mean its slow as compared to knock code, it takes a bit more time to unlock, haven't tried reboot just did a keyguard restart. I'll try doing a reboot.

Turn off show gesture correct?
I think there is a lag when using custom shortcuts to unlock, but not when unlocking normally. Is that what you're talking about @Tyaginator?
EDIT : Cannot reproduce any longer after reboot it seems?
Now THIS is what I was looking for :3

No i was talking about normal unlock only, it's just minor. Currently i'm back to knock code coz I've kinda habit of that and maybe i feel it slow coz i'm too quick in unlocking via knock code. I'll keep on checking further updates.

No, it doesn't
Thank you so much for creating this module!
I have waited too long for this! ?
The full screen gesture does not work for me. I tried a full reboot instead of just restarting the keyguard but still no luck. Also, there is a little "t" missing in "Directly show gesture entry" in the "Gesture Settings" section.
