[Q] Upgrade Advice

Hi Guys,
I'm due for an upgrade in a few weeks time and I'm currently on a Samsung Galaxy S2, I don't really want to go to the S3 as I don't think it's enough of an upgrade. Is there something else I should be waiting for?
Cheers
No matter what you buy, never consider a Motorola, especially one with a locked bootloader.

Bump.
Upgrade due in a week, would be great if I need to hang on for the much rumoure new Nexus?
I believe the HTC One X is supposed to be being re-released state side with a quad core. I would definitely be holding out for a quad core.
Speaking as a nexus one owner who went to a galaxy s2 I'd highly recommend you hold off for the next nexus. You'll love being a nexus owner for many reasons. Trust me...

That is the top dog. LG has a quad core out as well, but I have a hard time recommending an LG.
Hi guys, Thanks for the replies.
I'm thinking I might wait till the next Nexus line up I'm just concerned on when they'll be available as I don't really want to wait till xmas before my new phone, whens the likely release date for the UK is that info out yet because I can't find anything searching on the net.
Butchr - I'm similar whilst the LG looks good, it's an LG

Android Phones under $150

Hey guys. Recently toasted my old HTC Inspire 4G in the washing machine JUST after the warranty ran out. It's kind of aging anyways; the volume rocker fell off, man, milennia ago, and the charger port has to be tweaked for several minutes due to accumulated pocket lint.
Basically, I need a new phone and I'm on a limited budget (rather, my parents are, because I'm underage. Hoping to get it for Christmas.) and I need the best phone that I can get for less than $150. The biggest thing I'm looking for is a good modding community.
pls help :C
I was gonna say the Pantech Burst but since you requested a good modding community, i wouldnt recommend it even though it has root. google search for some. i know that the HTC HD2 is a very good phone with a good modding community but it is old and has old hardware.
You can go for Galaxy y or galaxy pop. Galaxy y has a big modding community and android gingerbread And it is in your budget. Galaxy pop doesnt have that big community but has better screen size and quality.
Both phones are under $150.
Hope i helped .

[Q] Whats smartphone has the best development community

Hey guys!
Im going to get a new contract soon and was wondering about what phone to get. The Galaxy S4, HTC One, Xperia Z or Nexus 4 look like the best choice to me.
The question i now have though is how are the development communities for these phones? i have the Nexus S atm and im guessing the n4 has the best community? How are the other communities though? Are they similarly good or maybe even better?
Help is hugely appreciated! ;D
Thanks!
Greetings!
Those devices have its own forum here, so you can check by yourself the status of the developments (but yeah, surely the Nexus 4 have the best support).
Go for nexus 4.
Will be getting 4.3 update first. And it has the best development community. :good:
surely the Nexus 4 have the best support ....
ok thanks! that'll keep my conscience clean! ;D
i am planning on buying the nexus 4...i like doing crazy stuff on my devices...currently i have an htc hd2 and damn this phone is good....it current has 2 types of linux os and 3 different native sd android Roms.....

New Member and question

Hello all I just joined the forum, glad to be a paid member considering how much i owe the developers and commentators for their hard work saving my phone (GS2) which has died now twice but as of the 3rd December was recovered running Supernexus (build 5).
My question relates to the Note3 vs the GS4.
I am personally tired with samsungs BS over TW, and now running supernexus on my GS2 I much prefer the nexus pure android feel and never wish to return to TW.... EVER...
As my GS2 approaches the end of its service life I have begun looking at new options, the GS4 (google edition) and the Note3 for its sheer awesomeness and screen size.
However I want the biggest screen size i can get which is why i look to the note3 over the gs4.
As i have seen if i were to buy the gs4 from a well known online retailer i could then flash the genuine google edition rom onto it? saving 200 pounds compared to buying it from the US?
What i would like to know, is this; if in the near future is someone looking to create a supernexus rom for the note3, if so I will wait for that... my GS2 is still going strong and personally I would prefer a "Phoneblocks" phone as Im not into throwing things until they give up completely.
Note3 vs GS4 (GE) your comments and experience, GO;
