Change whatever gesture you want to "Show previews"
I'm using the paid version though, but seems like its something that would be in the free?

No it's only in the paid. thanks anyway.
Damn its the only feature I would like more, now is that feature worth 4.00$, hmmm.

There are more features you get for that $4, plus you're supporting the developer(s).
No doubt that the Nova Prime is worth every penny. There's also the swipe down gesture that I use to expand the notification bar which makes it easier for me to operate the phone with one hand. I'm sold on the gestures alone...Especially when the SPB Shell 3D Launcher is priced at $14.95 for tons of "features".

If you want to resize widgets then yeah, otherwise no
I actually like lp+ more then regular launcher pro.. Resizing widgets comes in handy and you get to use all the scrollable widgets that lp comes with..
Thats all you get but for $3 who cares
Check out there website http://www.launcherpro.com/forum/
there's a lot more you can do on plus like popular from the dock bar for unread texts and missed calls. ..its pretty cool..
i bought it but i never use it. you get a lot of sense-like widgets which is very cool. I think the widgets, the look of the dock and how smooth the launcher is are the main features. Lots of customizations too of course...
I would to support the development.

if you use widgets, it will be worth it. Otherwise, stay with the free. I personally like the widget, so it was worth it for me.

THis.
Also, the cost was worth not having that popup come up every time I miss-click on a widget.

I've seen this, I'm looking for some RECENT use info
I have been using it off and on these past few weeks. I don't really care for it. I mean it's nice and convenient. Just not for me.
I used it and liked it, but switch back and forth between that and adw. Gives the phone a different feel and again shows you why android is so good that you have all these options.

Have either of you used Launcher 7? If so, how does it compare with WP7Home?
I love my launcher 7. I have been using it for the last 4 months. Not supersmooth yet but I really like the vertical scrolling of launcher 7 and the tiles are pretty customizable. I personally think it's the best launcher for me.

I seems that WP7Home is not really active anymore. Most of the devs have left and started Seven+
Launcher 7 FTW. Easily customized, simple, clean.

Yes, so the developers of ZPlayer and WP7Lock have joined the project I started a few weeks back, the Seven+ Project. I cannot speak for WP7Home, but Launcher 7 by Timo Kujala is our official launcher and I think it is quite good.
Hi there,
Do anyone know if it's possible to remove the Buttom pop-up bar.
I'd like to use WizzBar, but after installing Wizzbar, I now have the default one and Wizzbar poping up :-(
Sorry but no there is no way to remove it.

That's terrible Are there any mods or anything to get rid of it, or force changes or something? That's pretty weird that they didn't just make it configurable. What's the thinking behind that?
I am just guessing but I don't believe the "mini" apps on the touchwiz taskbar are like regular apps. Regular apps can't be used in a multitasking way like the touchwiz "mini" apps on the taskbar, which is why you can't place your own apps there. I believe Samsung would have to develope more "mini" apps first.
If you get one of the android launchers from the market like launcher pro or adw ex, they each have docks that you can place your own apps on. On adw ex you can even have the dock rise up and disappear like touchwiz's taskbar.

The pop-up touch wiz/apps bar is just annoying I only ever use it for task manager I wish you could not have it and just have tas man as an app or widget. The bar only over pops up when I accidentaly press it when playing a game. It's totally rubbish since the apps are not configurable.
Samsung take it off and/or make it configurable it's the biggest bug bear I have with Samsung tabs.

Thats really sucks
ok, if your like me then your looking to replace the stock launcher on a daily basis but have yet to do so because they all run with a degree of lag. (except tw)
Well good news!
There is another launcher i found to work very well with the galaxy note and it is called "aShell" - It's based off of ADW
It has a lot of similar features....... heck.... it looks strikingly similar.... almost a clone! I found it to use less memory and it is almost lag-free (i have widgets all over the place on 6 homescreens, btw). Plus it has quite a few features that ADW doesn't have ...... oh, and use the "scatter" transition - it's pretty neat.
Anyway, give the dam thing a try!
************EDIT********
Go Launcher 2.81 is available on the market. I suggest everyone try it. I am running the V6 Supercharger 1000hp setting with Go and it's the best so far... runs almost perfect on my note... with 6 homescreens full of widgets. GIVE it a.... GO
And if it works for you, hit the "THanK" button
******UPDATE******
GUYS, if you have CLOCKWORKMOD try my theme out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527002

thanks for this....always like trying new launchers....just installed and wallpaper scrolling works on this one.
will test this for a few days.....I am a hardcore ADWEx user.
yeah, i'm sure a lot of us will be please with it. i came from go.... using adw till they optimize but then i found this lol... my only discrepancy is the app drawer. but i can live with it for now.
will def try this out......
Edit: i still noticed lag in the app drawer.
adw ex didnt have that. im using go launcher right now, just switched from Spb shell. and will give this one a full test for a couple days and see if i can get ti run smoothly for me.
thanks for posting it up, im always looking for new launchers.
likewise... the launcher is the alpha-omega of the android experience in my opinion.
I've posted feedback to the developer with regards to the app drawer - I believe the launcher is still in the alpha stages, but it has a lot of potential.
I like the different features like the dock icons... if you drag each one of them up they pull up something different... like the phone pulls up the photo contacts and such.. These guys are definitely thinking differently.
yeah, some cool features.....
does it support vertical app drawer scrolling? I didn't see it. But I am at work so I am looking quickly and trying to be productive.

I thought android apps came with a 15 minute return policy? You could always try it and request for a refund.
Although, I don't see this particular launcher in my market, I can see it on market.android.com but not on my phone.
I think nemus is smoother and the dock can scroll to allow more apps in the dock and the app drawer will loop screens

Trials are pointless because you can download the cracked app or crack the app and install it (like SPB Crack) for free.
I have done this with apps like widget locker, but when i found myself using them all the time i purchased it. That's my way of weeding out the bull$hit... "create-a-trial" lol

This launcher was first released mid-december 2011 - it's still developing.
I haven't tried nemus.... (might install and give it a go)
didn't like nemus....I am a launcher whore and I usually try them out as soon as I see them.
I'm not paying 17 bucks for something I can only test drive for less than 30 minutes. How the h*ll are you suppose to evaluate it in 15 minutes? Maybe if you are hopped up on speed, redbull or something, but most people can't evaluate it
in 15 minutes.
I don't go for cracked software, but I might just to see how it works for a day or two. If I like it, I'll buy it, but most likely it will end up being removed and forgotten.

oh hell no!
...what is the obsession with them? I have thought this for a long time now, but I simply don't get it. They usually cripple or disable certain UI features and I can't imagine one being used on this phone.
This phone's stock launcher is already super fast and it has tons of options, almost to third party levels. Why would anyone use one on this phone? Is it people who are set in their ways and stubborn? What gives? Am I alone?

I really like the Interface on smart launcher. I like how it organizes apps, makes 1 hand operation a little easier for me
But I'd rather have knock on to wake haha, so sticking with stock until we can get some custom wake options with a custom kernel or something

My biggest reason is to be able to set grid size. Now theming is another good one, but I guess just familiarities. I've been using them for years.

ditto.grid size provides more options and control over widget placement. i like simple, functional home screens: time, date, calendar and weather. also prefer to hide the status bar, the option to use multiple docks (vs. on-screen shortcuts) and the ability to hide the dock when not in use. i use gestures to display the the notification screen and dock when needed. simply stated: i can't accomplish this with the stock launcher.
I'm surprisingly content with the stock launcher. Usually there's something that annoys me enough to change but it hasn't happened yet.
Does anyone know if there's a way to replace the dialer? I think it's ugly and much prefer the one I used on CM (from my Nexus).
never found a good one
I hate all stock launchers put out by all the big compaines. LG, Samsung, Motorola, htc, sony, etc...they all suck. It never takes me more than about 5 minutes to put my third party launchers on. I own about all the major ones and even some lesser known ones but my three favorite are next, tsf, and adw ex. For me the desktop like gridless homescreen of next and tsf have kept me with them for a long time now. Being able to size widgets according to your screen and not according to some set grid is so nice.
There are so many reasons to use third party launchers over any stock one but most of those have been listed already. Like themes, gestures, animations, tons of settings to change, and more. but really, if you like the stock launcher, stick with it.
Thanks for all of the replies guys. I see all your points and was just curious. I'm quite happy with the stock launcher myself.

the stock launcher is amazing... except it redraws all the damn time, and it's even worse on Verizon. I love stock launcher but i simply can't use it without wanting to throw the phone. I use nova, and it hasn't redrawn on me once.

With nova you can knock anywhere not just the status bar. Knock to wake is working fine without customisation, knock to sleep you will need to download an app call screen off and set double tap shortcut to launch that app.

Most who use launcher brought the app at one time or another before G2. Like me they use launchers to customise, pick and choose features to operate their phone a certain way.
The beauty with using launchers is that no matter which phone you end up with, it doesn't matter. You can change brand upgrade android os and keep their screen the same.

My main reason is gestures. With Nova I swipe up for app drawer, down for notifications. I've grown so used to this that I will give up whatever special features a stock launcher has.
Plus I delete my app drawer button so if someone is looking at my phone they can't be nosey and look through my apps that I have downloaded.

Looks. I just don't like the looks of LG's UI. Or anyone's aside from vanilla for that matter.. As others have stated, the ability to customize almost any aspect of the interface is a big contributor to my love of Android. With stock launchers, I lose some of that ability. Hiding the notification bar is pretty important to me as well. Not sure why but I don't like the look of a different colored bar cluttered with icons at the top of my meticulously arranged home screen lol. Same with nav keys. I use pie. As mentioned by others, I use the 'screen off' app combined with the double tap gesture to retain the knock knock feature.
