Neither
I haven't experienced this problem, nor have I heard or it from anyone I know with the device. Maybe you have a defective device?
Just rub the weird spot and it will smooth out.

I was just downloading beans3 and noticed I have zero details about the current download other than a percentage of completion in the drop down menu.
Is there a way to see more details or does anyone recommend a free download app to see more details such as speed, time remaining, time elapsed, ect...
Unlocked, rooted, running bean2 currently, nova launcher
Thanks!

I would be interested as well. The only one I've seen different is on my old HTC Incredible

Maybe a silly question but I have the Samsung flip case and have seen apps that lock your phone when proximity sensor is covered.
Does anybody know if this will cause a drain of the battery and also does it mean problems in low light?

Use Tasker. You can do prety much everything with all your sensors, not just the proximity one.

I want to record a few custom notification alerts for apps such as tapatalk and the like. Simple things like "Tapatalk has some updates" so I can stop wondering which alert I just heard and try to remember which app it is for. I have tried a couple ringtone apps but they don't seem to be working to do much if anything with things I record.
Has anyone done this on the note 2 and can they recommend not only a working app for it but also a quick 1,2,3 of the steps they follow?

Questions looking for an app can not be posted in the app forum? That seems rather odd to me.

They are a section to post actual themes and apps not to be clustered with questions. Questions go in the questions section.

LOL!!!
Just got a mental image of someone scarfing down pickles. Anyway, 0-9 can be set just by holding down the button in the Dialer, though 1 is reserved for voice mail.
