Download Zedge and get all the ringtones.. wallpapers you want and copy it to the system folder using root explorer...

For starters swear again and you'll be reported. As the other user said. If the op can source the system sounds he wants, he will have no trouble using them on his HOX+. It's easy to relate a particular sound with a system operation. Just delete/backup original and remame the new one......

He said like samsung devices,as far as I hear it,you don't get much of those sounds on X+. How can you make the phone make a beep when you click the settings button? Explain now smart ass. Or make it beep when you click the power button.

I don't want you guys to fight lol.
I just need help to do so. However i dont think there are any File/directories to be renamed in the first place since there are no sounds!
So guys, use your Intelligence and Experience to make this possible, don't fight lol. Thanks

You get a popping sound whenever you click on something

You can use root explorer or Androzip pro to access any file or replace practically any file. But be cautious..

ES Root explorer. I had to mount R/W system.
However I downloaded an app called "Galaxy S4 For All" from the play store that contains all the audio files. However, i can't find them in the root of my device so i cant copy the files. Any suggestions on how to find the audio files?
Basically what i mean is that i want to view the content of the Apk file. How?
Edit: I figured it out. I changed the apk file to .zip and everything worked out!
Just one thing left, i currently have MultiLing keyboard installed. Can i change the Keypress sounds of this keyboard?

Using Root Explorer navigate to system/media and find the .zip you put there. Long press it and select Permissions. It should be set up as follows:

See if that helps, though Im not a Gingerclone user so YMMV.

[REQ] Stock (ie, non HTC Sense) Honeycomb gapps (Contacts/Calendar)

Greetings!
Wondering if anyone knows of any sources for the stock Google apps for Honeycomb 3.2.
I installed HC (per http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1358758 -- and am also going to try this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1393904 )
I've been looking forward to HC, and am glad I finally bit the bullet, rooted, and installed it. But I'm still left wanting the stock, un-Sense'd experience.
The gmail app from HTC seems largely untouched. Unfortunately, that's not the case for calendar & contacts. Anyone know where I can get those apk's? (And if it's as simple as getting a hold of those and/or flashing them from CWM?)
I looked around on Google, but didn't find a good candidate to use (admittedly, I'm new to this, and am not sure what should work and what to avoid.)
Thanks, folks!
Jeff
Find a device that runs a asop or or close asop version of honeycomb and dl a Rom and pull the apk. Worth a shot

Does your system/app contain the CalendarProvider.apk? It should be there in order to let the CalendarGoogle.apk work. Otherwise install aLogcat to find any exceptions...
OK, finally got the calendar working just by using Root Explorer. The trick was to put the calendar apk in the system folder and change the permissions there before moving it to the app folder. Works like a charm.
The Calendar sizing is a bit off, but I can live with it since I mainly wanted it for the widget.
HJ200 - Thanks for the Contacts.apk
Sorry I'm just now getting back to you. I knew I wanted to flash another ROM, and was waiting till I did to try this. Anyway, today I flashed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421074
And then tried the Contacts.apk. I am not familiar with adb, so tried with Root Explorer. With Root Explorer in R/W mode, I put the apk in System, changed the permissions to rw-r-r, moved it to the app folder, and rebooted. The apk is definitely there, but it is not found in the app drawer. Suggestions? (Also, I am not familiar with adb, so was trying to do it without that...)
Thanks!
Jeff
Anybody able to walk me through how to get the Contacts app working w/o using ADB?
My post above lists what I've tried. I've looked around and have not found helpful suggestions.
Thanks!
Jeff
You wont be able to get the contacts apk to work because it relies on the stock HC framework :/

Why do so many people hate Rom manager? I love it and am just used to it since my cappy. I knkw it doesnt do everything with our SGS2 as it does for my cappy like reboot to recovery for nandroid backups correctly (except for using it for that purpose for cm7 works perfectly). But i like to use it for renaming nandroids and such. Easy to use and has never failed me. Wish it could be updated to fully work correctly at some point. Would be nice to get all our roms available on it/through it. Well to each his/her own i guess. I still use it to download gapps and such as well for cm7.

Lol.. seems like a lot of ppl really hate ROM Manager.
I either use ES File Explorer, or just connect to the pc and do my cleanup as necessary. I also rename the folders, so it's easier to identify which is what. Just remember if you do decide to rename your folders, no spaces , else you'll get md5 issues and wouldn't be able to restore from the backup you made.
A more interesting question is why a thread like this even needs to exist. I wondered the same thing the op did. Then I used root explorer to search and found the folder on my own. Search being the key word.

I'm pretty sure that pre-installed apps like that cant be downloaded and installed from a .apk, Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that they are built into the rom. You may be stuck with whichever music app came on your rom.
You could just use the Google play music app. It plays music stored on your SD and can also stream music from Google's server if you have the desktop app syncing your music folder.

Yep you're right, you need the .odex too.
here's both attached (Make sure to rename HtcMusic.odex.apk to HtcMusic.odex, xda doesnt allow upload of odex files so i just renamed it.
Thanks guys!
I downloaded both files and renamed htcmusic.odex.apk to htcmusic.odex and then downloaded the apk after. Still won't let me install though.
Is it because my ROM just won't let me or am I supposed the link the two together or what?
The only reason why I want this player so bad is because I like the music sound enhancement that comes with it. I'm trying to stay away from the Google music player because it is really just out of order for me and glitches a lot on my phone. Pain in the butt. :/

What ROM are you running? Download the .zip for that ROM and then extract the HTCMusic from the .zip. If your on an ASOP ROM, then that's your problem, you can't install the HTCMusic.
I removed the ROMs stock music app (google music) and still nothing.
I'm running thunderstick bareback.
The only other thing I can figure is that there is a lib or module missing from that rom that is preventing it from working. Is that a sense 3 or 2.1 rom? Whatever version it is you will probably have to use the music app that corresponds to the roms sense version.
